Installation of LMS 4.0 on Windows 2008 R2

Hello, I have a copy of the LMS 4.0 and want to install it on Windows server 2008 R2.

Right now I get the popup that says that this is impossible because the platform is not 2003, 2008 but did not mention 2008 R2.

Does anyone know of issues installation LMS 4.0 on Windows server 2008 and 2008 R2?

EJ

Full support 2008 R2 introduced from LMS 4.0.1. To install 4.0 LMS on 2008 R2, you must do so using a patch for the product. See the Installation Guide for more details.

Begging the question - if you have a license for 4 LMS, you should look at 4.2 (update 4.2.2, you get the installed base product). 4.0 (or 4.0.1) is quite a '. '. 0' release and there are a lot of improvements and bug fixes with 4.2.2

  • T420: H310 PERC Setup driver during the installation of Windows 2008 R2 SP1

    Hello

I try to install the SP1 of Windows 2008 R1 on T420. However, it does not detect the disk and asks me to load the Setup disk.

Now, I downloaded the driver from: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=1HHG8&fileId=3389750350&osCode=WS8R2&productCode=poweredge-t420&languageCode=EN&categoryId=SF

Put it on a key USB and then the wizard to detect the USB but then he said: 'no signed device drivers were found.

Reading carefully above the driver download page, they mentioned the installation instructions, it is shown how to load the driver during installation.

HOWEVER, the real problem lies here. These instructions are for a '. '. ZIP format"driver. Considering that, they provide only ".". EXE format"from the driver to download.

So, regardless of teaching the highest page download driver to load the driver during the installation does not work.

And I could not find where to download the '. '. ZIP format' driver.

Could you help me please. What I'm missing here?

    Thank you.

    You must use this driver:
    http://ftp.Dell.com/FOLDER01460337M/9/SAS-RAID_Driver_R2_4R5XT_A03_6.801.5.0_ZPE.exe

Run it to extract the content, then put the content on a USB flash drive to use during the installation.

  • Installation of Windows 2008 R2 on ESXi 5.0

    Hi all

I worked with ESXi 4 & 5 running Windows 2003 OS invited without problems.  Just tried to install Windows 2008 R2 x 64 and face an interesting difference.  When installing windows 2003 I have to specify the details of the Virtual Machine, specifically the amount of disk space I want to be available to host everything.  Then start the virtual machine, newly created from the windows installation disk appropriate.  I then get prompt with the "blue" screen allowing me to partition the space according to the BONE and once installation is complete I can then go through the operating system and partition and format the remaining space, as I hear it.  Doing so to a Windows 2008 R2 x 64 installation disk and I don't you this possibility so the BONE ends by using all the space allocated to the host of comments.

I guess I'm missing something blindingly obvious, but have not been able to track down any relevant information to this day.

Yes, you really lack the partitioning part.

This is after selecting custom selection (advanced option) > select the drive you want to install windows > click drive options and partition your drive.

Direct installation of R12 on Windows 2008 64 bit is not supported. You install it on a Windows 32-bit operating system, and then migrate to Windows 64 - bit.

  • OBIEE11g Installation with Windows 2008

    Hey,.

I intend to OBIEE 11.1.1.5-* 64 * in a server with this configuration:

OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard
    Installed memory RAM: 24 GB
    System type: 64-bit operating system
    Java: jdk 1.7.0
    DB: Sql 2005

I read it is possible to install the OBI 11 g with this configuration, but also it has not confirmed Administration BI tools in 64-bit, can someone confirm that please? If this is the case, what is the procedure suggested to install everything 64-bit, with the exception of Directors BI tools? Also, which type of installation I'll take? I read all the Simple options, Standard and configuration. Thank you much for the help.

    Kind regards
    RG

    RG,

Your specifications for WIndows 2008 64 bit good machine look. I would double check the JDK and stick to the version of JDK 1.6 to stay in compliance. You should always check each component of your server complies with the matrix of product certification of the Oracle that you want to install.

Regarding the Oracle BI 11 g Admin tool running on a windows 64-bit machine, it is possible. The only thing you have to watch out is that when you create a connection ODBC system DSNS on a server Oracle BI remote that you use the correct driver like Win 2008 64 bit allows a distinction and a console that is different to handle 32-bit drivers / 64-bit.

  • Break the BI publisher on Windows 2008 64-bit installation

    Hello, everyone

I need sense of simple installation on BI Publisher version 11.1.1.3 on Windows 2008 64 bit server to Oracle database 11g and Apex 4.0. The more I read the installation, I'm confused. Document ID: E10539-01 is very confusing to me. I'm sorry. The 32-bit with BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4.1 server is much easier to implement.

    Thanks in advance.

    Tigerwapa

BI Publisher implementation is another story, but I think that the instructions for setting the version 4.0 of the APEX is identical to the version 3.x... You point apex on the port that you have installed BI Publisher on and the servlet that transmits information between APEX & BI Publisher...

Hello and welcome to the forums.

This error is most likely due to a corrupted ISO download.  Try to download it again and see if that corrects the problem.

  • Installation of vCenter Server on Windows 2008 Server R2

    Hi all

I have the bits for vCenter 2.5 5 update and I try to install on a new Windows 2008 Server R2.  When I select the server option he returned that ports 80 and 443 are to use (which they are) and then advises to use the custom option.  I select custom and it indicates that the server cannot be installed and the client is available to install.  I'm missing something here, and vCenter Server will not install on R2?

    Any ideas?
