Installation of MS Antivirus Essentials - will slow down my computer?
I want to install Microsoft Security Essentials on my PC at home only.
I currently have McAfee Anti Virus Plus, which is effective but often slows down my computer because it downloads the updates and tests.
Download of Microsoft would do the same thing, and offer the equivalent level of protection?
I'm going to only three for three. We use MSE for 18 months. In addition to the recommendation of Chet814 to remove McAfee using the correct disposal method/tool, this applies to any other real-time protection that you have currently or previously installed.
Besure to read carefully the following Check list for the installation of Microsoft Security Essentials:
See below for any removal/uninstall tool/utility that DISPLACEMENT.

If I expanded my page file it will slow down the my computer?
original title: question of Page file.
If I do my pagefile to high it will slow down my computer. What size do you recommend for xphome, serv.pk.3, win. Exp 8, 32-bit color, cap 28.6 GB drive with 18gbfree, 256 MB of ram. Right now I have 800 MB allocated to the total size of pagefile for all readers.I changed my pagefile to 385 x 385 and changed manage the use of mem for better for appearance to let windows decide what works best. So I changed my mini to the full kernel dump file. I tried to move the pagefile from drive c where I assume that windows is installed in the disc volume label box but there is only one disc in the box and it wouldn't let me do anything IE no response in the mouse. How do you add another drive for the drive volume label area? My computer is a stand alone im thinking what it would take to being connected to a network? Once I restarted my comp... regardless I, really helped 'US' and there was a significant increase in speed. If YOU YOU YOU YOU a lot indeed. Dana Rose

Can I use an SDXC (512MB) card as a drive hard primary (such as startup HD with El Capitan) on my iMac 5 K - end 2015? It will slow down the performance of the iMac?
I did it with a 32GB SDHC UHS - I Transcend
I do not recommend under OS X from such media, but it works very well. I was preparing for my review of the CPHA Yosemite and did not want to mess with the internal drive of OS X.

I have 2 accounts directors and 1 standard account on my computer, it will slow down the speed of the computer, or if I have just 1 Administrator account it will make computer run faster
N °
Unless you are logging in to each account and switching between them - have each user run a lot of things. Now * that * could slow down the computer.
Otherwise, it's just - unused accounts unless you connect to them. Again, storage space and unil you get below a few GB of free it - not no more worries.

If I copy a symbol several times, it will slow down the animation?
Maybe this is a stupid question.
I have a very simple symbol playing in my animation. It s a little red dot that changes size from 100% to 50% and then repeats.
I copied (no duplicate of symbols pannel) this symbolt several times in animation and plan to copy loads more, maybe hundreds. This will slow down the animation, or all points working through this first original symbol?
Let me add a clarification. If you duplicate a symbol in the control panel of the elements when you change something in one of them, this change also occurs in the other. Here are the instances of the same symbol. If you duplicate a symbol in the library, and then you change something in one, it will not affect the other. You have created a new symbol. You have now 2 distinct symbols.

request will slow down when an additional filter is given in the list IN
The following query works with 1 + seconds:
Query below seems to work at least + 30 seconds, I don't know how long it works:SELECT t.Owner, t.Table_Name, c.Comments, f.Column_Name, Fc.Comments FROM All_Tables t, All_Tab_Comments c, All_Tab_Columns f, All_Col_Comments Fc WHERE c.Table_Name = t.Table_Name AND f.Owner = t.Owner AND f.Table_Name = c.Table_Name AND Fc.Owner = f.Owner AND Fc.Table_Name = f.Table_Name AND Fc.Column_Name = f.Column_Name AND t.Owner IN ('CASINO') AND t.Table_Name IN ('PHYSICALTABLEGROUPS') ORDER BY t.Owner, t.Table_Name, f.Column_Name;
As you can see the only difference is with 'IN' operator. Adding more item in the request list will slow down. Why is it slow?SELECT t.Owner, t.Table_Name, c.Comments, f.Column_Name, Fc.Comments FROM All_Tables t, All_Tab_Comments c, All_Tab_Columns f, All_Col_Comments Fc WHERE c.Table_Name = t.Table_Name AND f.Owner = t.Owner AND f.Table_Name = c.Table_Name AND Fc.Owner = f.Owner AND Fc.Table_Name = f.Table_Name AND Fc.Column_Name = f.Column_Name AND t.Owner IN ('CASINO') AND t.Table_Name IN ('ADMINS', 'PHYSICALTABLEGROUPS') ORDER BY t.Owner, t.Table_Name, f.Column_Name;
I have no privileges to run explain plan for this query, because I do not have certain privileges, I think for these system objects.
Can you explain why the request will slow down with the addition of a table over in the list.I found the / * + ALL_ROWS * / tip to be useful on SQL join views great dictionary, including DBA_TAB_PARTITIONS and DBA_TAB_COLUMNS, that can develop enough long.

Wuauclt.exe slow down my computer
Whenever the Windows Update automatic update Client runs, it significantly slows down my computer. For this reason, I put automatic updates updated Fridays @ 03:00, so that I'm not on my computer and it should not cause me any hassle during the working day. However, this is not the case. It's a Tuesday afternoon and I have wuauclt.exe now works and has downloaded the updates and continues to ask me to install the updates. It is difficult to run the programs I need for running the job with that. I've closed several times by the Task Manager: processes tab and it will not be closed.
How to stop popping up and running ONLY at 03:00 on Friday?
Sorry for not responding earlier but I never received a notification of any more responses about this until today .
My preference would be to make manual updates on the site, so I won't warn me, warn me or come at all.
As Mike has already said, if your on a domain network, you must ask the Admin on how the system is updated.
If it isn't and you are the person who updates it, then you have to turn off the automatic updates service and set THE " disable automatic updates. I want to update my computer manually. "When you are ready to update, and this includes to restart the system so that files that are used can be replaced, and then start the automatic updates service before either visiting web sites Windows or Microsoft Update.
Security updates are issued the second Tuesday of each month; No updates for Windows security are issued the 4th Tuesday of each month. However, this will prevent the installation of any out of band, critical security updates unless you watch ( the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), search for the Microsoft TechNet security bulletins or the pages of Description of Software Update Services and Windows Server Update Services changes in content for 2010 .
There is also the possibility that SAV is originally the CPU problem through its oversight to this place:
WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DatastoreYou suggest or the Sys Admin read this MSKB and configure Service according to its recommendations to see if the problem is resolved:

Games slow down a computer?
I played Command and Conquer 4 on my computer very old. It can be played, but the graphics are bad and it is very slow. If I continue to play the computer may crash. So I had planned to play on my new computer. But my parents do not allow that. Reasons are
- Games can have viruses.
- Viruses can hack into my computer and get information, such as bank accounts. (I installed Bitdefender 2010 IPSec)
- Games make my computer unreliable and slow.
Can you check for me if these reasons are true. I know too many games running at the same TIME will be a slow computer. But what happens if my requirements meet the minimum requirements for the games, it slows down the computer? Also, I defrag and cleaning my PC regularly so do not understand that my computer will do to appear slowly over a short period of time (1 year).

(1) their original CD-ROM or DVD-ROM games will not have the virus. Back in the olden days where game was on a disk that it was possible that a set of second hand could have been infected, simply because the disks could be written after the fact. Actually I've ever met.
(2) a bit, (but still once falsely assume original games of detail will virus), in practice, they are much more wet than that. Decent anti-malware and ensuring your machine and all the software connected to the internet is updated will solve this problem.
(3) not true. While the game is running, they are obviously fewer resources for other things. But once the game has been closed it will not use all of the system resources. In regard to making them unreliable, more wrong.
* It won't do anything, they don't want to play you games on this machine, they will come with any excuse for this purpose.
Anyway on this system, I think that you should always keep the graphics on their low settings, the graphics card is a budget card, not suitable for games.

Script of long-term slow down my computer.
OT: Long-running Script.
I have a Windows 7 laptop. I get the message that I have a script of long-term slow down my computer. What exactly is that and how it stop?
Could you give a little more detail please, if possible. For example when these pop-up messages? you're in a browser (Internet explorer?) when they occur, or do they appear just when you have nothing open on your desktop?
IF they pop up when you use Internet Explorer, have a read of this to see if it gives indications - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/308260 (unfortunately, it's pretty long).
Alternatively, you can try to disable the IE script debugger, but maybe it's more to hide the fault rather than fix, assuming it is useful at all.
Open IE, tools, Internet Options, [Advanced] tab, click on "Disable Script debugging (IE) press OK, close IE and re - open it to see if its helped." There are also "Disable script debugging (other) to try to see if that helps." If they do not help, reset them.
If this doesn't help not or if you need further assistance, please post back and someone will try to help.

How to find files that are slowing down my computer
I saw crazy files but I don't remember where I saw them.
I saw crazy files but I don't remember where I saw them.
Generally files, in itself, is not slowing down your computer. Just to have files on your hard disk (because it is not completely filled) means very little - this is when things run / run they can cause problems.
How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us
The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:
Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.
You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.
Search for malware:
Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:
Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)
Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

Windows updates significantly slows down my computer
Whenever my computer is a windows update that it slow down my computer, I need to run a virus scan that helps a little but it still runs slowly takes about 5 to 10 minutes to restart.
If your antivirus software is nothing else than the windows Defender - you might want to experiment & uninstall it.
Visit the support site anti virus and find their methods of uninstalling... Many antivirus programs really need a separate download program to uninstall them successfully. When you see that windows Defender is working properly, it's a good indication that you probably have a successful uninstallation.
Maybe... then your computer might speed up you decide to reinstall the anti-virus program or not.
