Installation of new equipment

So I bought an SSD to install as my OS drive, im struggling to know if it is just better to wait for Windows 10-out then install and take the recovery disc that we create and then install it, or if it would be better if I installed the SSD drive now and went through all the updates... Also I've heard somewhere that old OS files on the current HARD drive (which became a mule data) will cause problems with the new OS file drive... any help would be appreciated

Well, get the FREE UPGRADE, to actually be upgraded first.

Then you can enter the ISO and then use it to install Windows 10 on this same system cleanly on your SSD.

If it were me, here's how I would do things (after August 15, 2015, in fact)...

1 do a system image backup of my current system on an external support.

2. make sure that I have all my keys and product software battery installation / easily accessible.

3. make sure all my data (documents, Favorites, emails, photos, music, etc.) are safely copies elsewhere (COPIED: otherwise, it is not a backup.)

4. turn to level my system Windows 7 with SP1 to Windows 10.

5. download the ISO image.  Make bootable from it.

6 return to the system of Windows 7 with SP1.  (If she does not come back - I have my system image backup!  No worries!)

7. remove the HARD drive completely.

8. install the SSD.

9. start and install with the media of Windows 10 I did return to step 5.

10 install all the drivers for hardware devices.

11 patch.

12 installing my important software.

13. copy/restore my data on my newly installed system.

14. If NECESSARY (sounds like it's maybe) install Windows 7 disk HARD back in the system as a secondary drive (only data, not not to boot from)- or, better yet, set it aside for some time determine if I like Windows 10 and have an EASY fall back to Windows 7 (remove SSDS, insert the HARD drive) if I need.  I would be easier to store my stuff on the network or on a new drive, I have install.  (However, if I wanted to put Windows 7 on this SSD - if the partitions were the installer of the same size or smaller than what I could put on the SSD before I made my image system in phase - I could restore the system image I did for the SSD in any point of there too...)

I recently connected my Logitech speakers on my computer (which should have no effect on what I'm about to ask, but...), and immediately after that I finished installing the new equipment, every single MP3 on my computer started acting funky.  For some 5 seconds will play in crappy quality, then he spends a little and stop playing altogether, even if Media Player says that he always plays.  Oddly enough, once the sound stops playing, it also displays the timer is going slower.  This is for all my audio files that I put on my computer.  I've never seen anything like this.  If you need more information, just ask, but I want as my dang back music.

  • Getting DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Error after installation of new equipment

I use a desktop PC and to connect to the internet, I use the USB network cards. I recently bought ASUS N10, but he has not done a good job and left me with a lot of delay, so I switched to my Motorola WU830G. The Motorola adapter works perfectly, no lag at all, but the problem is after that I started to use my PC started to break up with error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. When I tried to unplug the WU830G I don't crash. Most likely, the problem is caused by the Motorola adapter but without it, I can't have good connection. My OS is Windows 7 Professional SP1. Does anyone have recommendations? Thank you.

Try Envara or Motorola.  Another option is to install the driver you have in compatibility mode for windows xp, as this is the latest operating system for this model

To install in compatibility mode do the following:

Click with the right button on the installer > properties > compatibility > choose OS

  • How to make windows require a password during the installation of new programs?

How to make windows require a password during the installation of new programs?

    Hello

You will not be able to circumvent the password that appears before the execution of actions (installing a new program) in a non administrator account.  If you are logged on as administrator, and again, you get the command prompt, you can disable UAC (User Account Control) to stop the password dialog window.

However, as a work around you can right-click on the installation of the program files and select run as administrator. Check if this is useful.

Let me know if I can help you with this question or any problem related to Windows.

  • Why force Adobe installs their new Flash drive when it is originally from the browsers play not video?

Why force Adobe installs their new Flash drive on billions of computers when it is causing so many browsers only play video?

I had installed the Flash Player 11.2.202.228 28/03/2012 and it worked very well, unlike some of the previous Flash players in several web browsers, so I chose NOT to install a new actors Flash that came after that, all based on experience.

But last Friday, 22/06/2012, I received a new message to install Adobe Flash Player that came in my office for the new Flash Player v 11.3.300.262 and I chose NOT to install it for the reason I said above... and the look now at all the problems this new Flash player has caused for so many people.

Now I see glancing at my Add-ons Manager in my Firefox browser, and in my program Panel of Windows 7 in the control panel that the stupid new Flash Player v 11.3.300.262 has been INSTALLED FORCE behind my back, even if I don't install certainly NOT it and I deleted the installation Panel when he came to my office on Friday.

And now no videos or content Flash will not play in my Firefox browser! Good job Adobe!

What is the Adobe problem?... why you require the software on our computers that obviously was not installed by the user, and then screw it to the top of our computers.

How to explain something like that?

Now, I have to troubleshoot it and try to install my old Flash Player.

    Why?

Having click on classic view on the left side of the Control Panel window, which should show all of the icons and allow him to see the Flash Player icon.  The alternative is to type 'flash player' in the control panel search box which should be also.

Note also that change the auto update to "notify me to install updates" will only delay the process of 30 days.  After 30 days, the update will be installed automatically.  You can completely disable this by changing it to "never check", but I would certainly recommend against that.

  • Installation VISTAon new rig.

I built my own equipment 2 years ago.  I had to return the kit, motherboard, RAM and CPU to COMPLETE. That is to say that I bought it.  Now I don't know what I have to do to install VISTA in my new configuration without getting penalized.

    Donal

If Vista was an OEM license, it is non-transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

If it's an OEM license, it's a grey area.

Replacement of parts with the same is one thing (motherboards, etc.); the upgrade is completelty different (with the exception of RAM, etc.).

Before I Change my old BONES, I created an account on Firefox Sync to save my favorites, after the installation of the new operating system windows 8.1 specifically and configure Firefox new Virgin "29.0.1", and then try to recover my data using my sync key that I understand that I can not because the system has changed, please I need support immediately.

To access the data stored using the old version of synchronization, you must install a version of Firefox 28 and restore your data from the server.
After doing this, you can upgrade to Firefox 29.0.1 and use the new synchronization version.

  • Symbol ban after new installation on new SSD

    Hello

A few months ago, my original HD failed (MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012)).

I decided to replace it myself with a SSD instead.

the thing is, every time you start, I get the symbol ban for a few seconds until sometimes for hours, but once the start is done - everything works perfectly.

tried to replace the disc SSD 3 times now - the same result after each new installation of recovery of the internet.

Currently, using SanDisk Ultra II 240 GB.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

The symbol you see means that the computer did not find a bootable system disk and sometimes occurs when you have not set up a default startup disk. Go to System Preferences, and then select Startup disk. You should see your SSD in the window. Select it after you unlock the preferences.

The strange thing is that, if this is your problem, it must be solved in seconds - certainly not hours. This would suggest there is something more complex. You say that you tried to replace the SSD 3 times. Different drives? Different manufacturers?

  • HP Pavilion P7-1155: Installation of new graphics cards hp p7-1155

I have a new EVGA GEFORCE GT730 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card and am ready to install it in the box above.

Haggiscat suggested this card through a previous post on this site. I printed the directions of installation of help from hp and I so the mechanics of the installation of this thing. These directions say disable the first onboard graphics card, then go into the box and install the new card. My question is: do I need to do something else first as in downloading the driver first / delete the old driver first.etc? Also, I have a disc that came with the new card. Use that to get the drivers or go to the website of invidia? I want this facility to go as gently as possible so expert help would be appreciated.

I don't know how to direct you to the previous post, but it's in this section. Take a look for general information.

    Thank you

I did some research after that discover your graphics update did not work.  I found another thread in which the motherboard is the same as the one you have and the video card is in the same family as the one you bought.

I also see in other forums that the 720 thru 770 cards are not compatible with this motherboard.  I have not found a referenced compatible card.  A resolution has been accomplished by changing the motherboard.

  • Pavilion g7 1070US: installation of new SSD

I'm helping a friend with a HP Pavilion g7 1070US laptop. His original hard drive crashed and we bought a PNY 960 GB SSD drive to replace its old WD 500 GB. We were able to restore his old Win 7 because while trying to create a USB startup device the MS site says our OEM license. So we bought a new Win 10 license with a USB and when you try to start the message; "Core security check failed" appears, and the computer restarts then cycling in the same message. I tried to boot from another key USB and DVD ROM created by MS media creator but the same warning message appearing.

Later we have formatted the drive outside the laptop with a SATA adapter.  Reset us the BIOS by default. The drive is recognized by the internal BIOS diagnostic and test memory was also executed.  Both pass.  However, whenever a start is attempted the system responds with a BSOD and the message; "The verification of the security kernel failure".  All the world is facing a situation difficult always. I even bought an old copy of Win 7 Home edition and the installation CD has the same problem.

    Any suggestions...
