• Light weight of the Oracle Weblogic Application Server Edition

  I'm looking for a light version of Weblogic 10.3 application server - something similar to the Express of Weblogic 8.1 edition.
  I saw in the documentation that there is a standard version and an enterprise version, but I don't see where I can get it. also I don't know if there is an equivalent "express" version.
  
  If this isn't the case for Weblogic 10.3, even if there is one for Weblogic 10MP1, I would get this.
  
  basically I'm looking for something to use in development with an IDE, on my local machine which of course has limited resources.

  10.3 WLS is the first version to offer this option as an argument to disable all other services, all or nothing. This Server behave like WebLogic Server Express Edition did in previous versions. I'm not sure what other services remain, but the Servlet container will always be there. It is referenced in the "what's new" in the section "install".

  I know that in the future releases will have a more granular control over these services, but it is what is available today. Give it a shot, I really think it will offer what you are looking for if you try to reduce the footprint running and only have the Servlet container.

  I was going through the documentation for the Oracle BI Applications, probably the old version.
  
  I. DAC has previously been installed as one of the components as well as the installation of Oracle's Applications of BI?
  
  Now, I have installed the Oracle BI Applications version 7.9.6.1. and the DAC is not installed with it. It is available in a package separate from the OTN site.
  
  Old Documentation says: "DAC installation is part of the * Oracle BI Analytics installation *", referring to what is said: what I've learned, it's there:
  1. "infrastructure oracle installation.
  2. "installation of oracle BI Applications.
  3 "Installing Informatica Powercenter.
  4 "Installation of DAC" in packaging separate.
  
  II. what does mean by * "installing Oracle BI Analytics?" It is part of all above mentioned installation or a separate installation.

  I am trying to install the WebLogic application between jDeveloper (11.1.1.4) server. When I created a new connection, I get under result.

• Problem with db/server connection in a cluster on the WebLogic application server configuration

  Maybe someone here has already encountered this problem. I want to deploy and run my application on a cluster (with 2 servers) on WebLogic configuration. All data sources appear to be configured correctly, the application is deployed correctly and that it works correctly, except when a sql query is taken to a specific java class (DataGridService) that handles the results grid search.

  It displays the following error:

  As I said, all sources of data in the console of wl appear to be correctly configured with the option "Not packaged data items of Type" not selected. All other connection db work correctly but there is a problem only with this particular class and with the cluster configuration, in fact it works correctly on a stitching configuration. In this case, the same problem occurs if 'Objects of Type data not packaged' is selected.

  Maybe there is a problem with a certain configuration of wl. Can someone help us?

  We have just solved the problem: in the properties file, wls.context parameter, we forgot to insert the ip for all servers in the cluster

  for example, cluster with 2 servers

  bad: wls.context=t3://ip-address:7001 (this is the only server admin)

  correct: wls.context=t3://ip address: 7001,ip address: 7002,ip address: 7003 (admin server, Server1 Server2)

• Changes on request not visible when it is deployed in the weblogic application server

  I have an ADF faces application that runs on a weblogic server.
  Application works fine, but I added a few features on some pages.
  
  I tested it with Jdeveloper and the build in weblogic server, that works very well.
  Now, I have deployed my application (trough the menu application-> deploy) to the weblogic server.
  
  When I open the application now, I don't see the changes I made!
  In the menu that I did run Build-> Make and Build-> rebuild but this did not help.
  
  What is causing this behavior?

  Try first cancel the deployment of the server application, and then deploy it again.

• How to strengthen a SR with weblogic application server?

  This is extension to my previous post where I asked to understand usage "optimist-serialization in weblogic.xml file. According to this post, I was proposed to raise a SR, but I've not done this earlier so I find difficulty on how to do it.

  I'm trying to understand how to raise an SR using this link:

  At first, I need to do-> "Go Service requests tab and select Create SR." But when I connected to "support.oracle.com" and clicked on the "Service Requests" tab, there is no option to create a SR. Please let me know how to create an SR.

  But when I tried to install Oracle 10 g application server, sound suspends with the oracle 10g database server in port 1521.
  
  Is it possible to install Oracle 10 g Standard Edition and Oracle 10g application server in Windows server 2003?

  Yes, it is possible to make them together.
  In cases where the port 1521 is busy, try 1522.

  Said that the OAS 10.1.2.0.2 is desupported, you must apply the patch 10.1. 2.3 to be fully certified on RHEL/OEL 5.
