Installation of SharePoint

I'm new to sharepoint, and had a few questions.

Must the sharepoint server be joined to a domain?

I was watching a video for the installation of sharepoint server, and during the configuration process, you are prompted for the user name that was previously created in active directory.  What kind of user this user should be?  Is this just a domain user?  Which group the user should participate?

  • Problem with Sharepoint on the computer.

    I work for a small company that researched our options to store and share data. We thought initially OneDrive would provide what we needed and started the demo version of OneDrive and Office 365. However, after a few hours of further research, it seems that we really need, is SharePoint. I understood how to do things quite easily through Office 365, but when it ran into an obstacle, called Microsoft technical support and told me he had to download the trial of SharePoint. I tried to start the trial version of SharePoint with the trial Office 365 login - but he tells me that the account does not exist.

    Is there a way to get the installation of SharePoint with the same trial as Office 365?

    We just need a place to House our files 3 distinct users can access. It seems that OneDrive is designed more for a user to share some files with others rather than 3 users have access to an entire database of files.

    Also, I tried researching on the support available for SharePoint and it is very IT oriented - we don't have no resources available to decipher these support files and get the installer of things.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I also looked for a solution of TechNet and found that there is a KB to install (2771431) (located here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2765260?wa=wsignin1.0 ), but when I try to install it I get the following error: "the update is not applicable to your computer. I also tried the second step, if the installation does not work and it has not yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I am using SharePoint as a data collection portal. Web forms are completed and submitted by end users. In the section of the list, I am able to display the form with the answers.  Is my question there a way to print the form with the answers directly to PDF?

  • I'm trying to uninstall Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 from my PC.

    I downloaded the latest Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2010 on my PC.  When I try to remove it from the control panel: Add/Remove programs I get an error of installation "the language of this installation package is not supported by your system.  It won't lallow me unistall it.  I tried find this on my C drive on my hard drive, but it seems that it was not install so I can't find it.  How can I remove this software from my PC?

  • SharePoint 2010 dash for vfoglight.

    We recently bought vfoglight and our engineer of ICT raves about this development. So it must be good. I noticed it came with cabins to deploy a dashboard to the share point. But can't make it work with Share Point Server 2010. Is there a new dashboard in preparation for 2010 or can point me to a site that documents the installation using the current cabins?

    I'm trying to reinstall SharePoint designer 2007. on my win 7 Home premium 64-bit sp1 machine. It seems to install but when I try to run it I get a side-by-side configuration error. I have Visual studio 2010 is installed. I think I saw something about c ++ redistributable is a problem.

    Trying to find a course of our Windows Admin to become familiar with the management of SharePoint infrastructure and other objects outside of the application itself (e.g., installation of Web parts on the server, monitoring, maintenance, etc.). It sure seems 10174A: TS ITPro: configuration and administration of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 can be the way to go, but I'm having a hard time finding and instructor led the class in the New York area. Any help would be appreciated.
