Installation of Windows 10 blocked at 23%

Original title: Installation of windows 10

I downloaded windows 10 now I install windows 10. He stuck to 23%, and there has already been a whole hour. How long should I wait?

Hi Tony,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that 10 Windows upgrade is blocked at 23%, and I'll be happy to answer your query. Let me ask you;

  • How do you have downloaded Windows 10?
  • Which type of installation (clean, custom or upgraded) you perform?
  • What security software is installed on the computer?
  • What is the brand and model of the computer?
  • Have you plugged an external computer equipment (except the mouse and keyboard if Office)?

There could be several other reasons as well as the questionnaire. Let's look at a few controls during installation Windows 10.

(i) Please check the system requirements for Windows 10

System requirements for Windows 10

(ii) please refer to the information provided by Martin Bennet responded on July 29, 2015.

(iii) ensure that no other devices are connected to the computer (except the mouse and keyboard in the case of office).

IV. Please refer to the advice given in the TechNet forum and check.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • Windows updates failed prevent installation of Windows 10

    1. I correctly installed 10 Windows of Windows 7, but came back to Windows 7 because of a problem with a MIDI device. The routine was told that I could re - install Windows 10 at any time.

    2. I decided that I could solve the problem of device in Windows 10 and so decided to try a re-installation of Windows 10.

    3. However, since the return to Windows 7, there are four "chess updates" in Windows Update and these keep requiring a reboot, and Windows 10 is blocked to re - install until this is resolved.

    Failed updates are KB2970228, KB342058, KB2861208, KB2742613.

These updates are NOT installed, so don't tell me not to remove from the update not installed because they are not there!

I need to know how to stop Windows insisting I restart to complete installation, only for the installation fails and asking that I have to do over and over again.

This question seems to have been caused by maintaining a registry which I think should be deleted after the completion of the update process.

    It is:

    Update\RebootRequired windowsupdate

After the removal of the key, do NOT restart, but install updates is run and restart.

It worked for me, after three weeks of boredom!

What do I need to uninstall Windows 7 after installation of Windows 10?

You upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10?  If so, how it remains on the disk?

If your question is about whether the operating system that is used to qualify for upgrade can be used even if it is still eligible for the upgrade, the answer is no it is essential will be blocked until the upgrade is removed during the reinstallation of the old operating system.  Then it may take wake-up phone to retrieve the old operating system license.  Also is it better to keep the old operating system using a Windows 7 System Image backup which can recover the old BONES in 20 minutes and preserves the activation.

    Hello smarthala,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you deleted by mistake your Mac partition during the installation of Windows. The partition itself deleted or was it the Mac OS that has been erased, leaving an empty partition?

If the latter, you can reinstall OS X from OS X Recovery. See this article for how that should be done: On OS X Recovery
Otherwise, you can use Internet recovery (Command-Option-R, as opposed to the command-R) to repartition the entire hard drive and install the version of Mac OS X provided on your Mac. Who is finished, you can upgrade to El Capitan via the App Store > bought.

    Hello

I deleted the old partition 10 windows using bootcamp, upgrade of the space itself.

I ran BootCamp again to set up windows 10 pro, as I had already installed on my end 2012 21.5 "iMac and the wizard successfully install on a USB stick, my Windows 10 ISO and any software downloaded from Apple.

After restarting, start the configuration of Windows 10 until the selection of the partition.

I, as the statement says, choose partition, BOOTCAMP and Format. Then I click Next, but the Windows says:

    "I can't create or find a partition...". »

So I can't install it... What is going on? How can I fix this as never before appeared?

  • delete the partition after a failed installation of windows 10

    Hello world

How is it possible to delete partitions, if in disk utility, there is no possibility to click on the '-' key?

So I made a failure (several) attempts to install windows 10 on my new iMAC.

I could download an ISO of windows and start the bootcamp assistant.

In the last attempt of last night, I selected the bootcamp in windows installation partition, however, installing windows said it was impossible to read the hard drive.

I then re-formatted this partition (BOOTCAMP) in the installation of windows, and after that, still could not read.

Then, I deleted the bootcamp partition in windows and re-created a partition on "unallocated space" in the windows installation.

Installing windows 10 still wouldn't move forward then I've bailed out and went back to OS X with the hope of turning it back on (again) by deleting partitions.

I was unable to delete the Mac partition.

Then, I deleted this partition (the one original bootcamp) and reformatted as OS x journaled. At least now, I can see the Partition.

However in Diskutil, I was then impossible to delete this Partition. There is also a small partition 16 MB that cannot be erased.

Wizard bootcamp will be past a pop up station: the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.

So I will now try to delete these partitions (the boy and the training camp original one) merge into the original and give then installing bootcamp, another go when I have a lot of energy!

I tried to install Windows XP Pro SP3, 2008 version on the machine Satellite C660 released in 2011.

On this forum, you will find number of threads where you can find answer to your question and also good explanation how to do to install Windows XP Home edition on the new laptop models.

    > I tried to install Windows XP Pro SP3, version 2008 on the satellite C660 released in 2011.

I assume that it happens because of lack of driver SATA. It must be loaded with F6 before installation of WXP begins. You can also create the installation disk of Windows XP Home edition with the integrated SATA driver. How to do this you can read

  • Qosmio G30 - No. HDD recognized during installation of Windows 7

HY, I tried to install win 7 on my Toshiba Qosmio G but after running the installer of windows 7, it does not find the drives to install on. My Qosmio has 2 discs. In the BIOS, they are marked as SATA (I can't change this setting) and the first to RAID0 and the second JBOS.

When you run the installation from my XP environment, I get the message that the AHCI driver is not installed. I downloaded the latest driver for storage of matrix from Intel and upload it in the setup of Windows 7, but it still does not recognize my discs. See a suggestion or an answer to my problem?

Of course, I installed the latest version of the BIOS... it's from 2008-09. Intel matrix storage drivers where very recent 17/07/2009. But according to the website of Microsoft AHCI and SATA drivers must be included in the installation of Windows in any case.

PS the version that I'm trying to install is RC build 7100

    Thanks for some comments,
    Bert

    Hello

First of all, you should tell us what model Qosmio you exactly. There are many different Qosmio models on the market.

To me it sounds like that, you simply use the wrong driver AHCI/RAID. If your Qosmio is equipped with a RAID controller you need other drivers and not the Intel Storage Manager. To install Windows in this case, you have RAID drivers they belongs to the RAID controller.

As said Akuma search site Web from Toshiba RAID drivers:

Today, I had a Client who wanted to Downgrade to Windows 7 Windows 8 on a laptop HP Envy M6.  After that reading many articles about everyones unsuccessful attempts to install Windows 7 on this laptop, I had to respond.

    First Things First

    1. go into the BIOS and enable the Legacy Mode.

    2. under the Legacy boot order - have the CD - RW / DVD - RW DRIVE Boot First.

    3. restart the computer

    4. press the "ESC" button when she said HP or when it says press ESC for Boot Options

    5. Select "F9" for "Boot Device Options '.

NOTE: DO NOT SELECT THE ' INTERNAL CD/DVD ROM DRIVE (UEFI) - even knowing that you have your Windows 7 DVD in the drive

6 SELECT ' INTERNAL CD/DVD-ROM DRIVE (this is the Option to boot Legacy & is the difference between failure and success.

    7. install Windows 7 normally

PLEASE NOTE: DELETE ALL PARTITIONS ON THE DRIVE C, INCLUDING THE RECOVERY.  IF YOU DO DELETE A RECOVERY, THIS PROCESS WILL NOT WORK.

    8. upon completion of the installation of Windows 7.  Open the Device Manager.  You will notice that there are several devices that the drivers are not installed.  PCI device / Sm Bus controller / network card / adapter Ethernet / USB controller / USB Controller.

9 go to the following Web page of HP and install Audio / LAN / WIFI / CARD READER / GRAPHICS for Windows 7 64 bit, providing that you have installed a 64-bit Windows Version.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & sw_lang = & Product = 5282147 #N1887

Don't forget not under "Input Devices" to download the card - reader This will install the driver for the PCI device in Device Manager.

In Device Manager - you'll end up with SM Bus controller and 2 USB controllers to install.

10 navigate to this Wepage Lenovo for the Bus SM AMD controller driver.  Download the file (DO NOT RUN) and install as usual.  Accept the license agreement.  After completing the driver installation, the device shows as installed SM Bus controller Manager (possibly after a reboot).

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS019868

    11. Finally, you need to install the drivers for USB 3.0 to your card controller mother AMD.  Go to the following Web site to download these drivers.

    http://support.Lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?docid=DS030088

    NOTE: RUN-DOWNLOAD & INSTALL normally

    12. open the device Again Manager - check the peripheral No. are yellow (point yellow question mark)

    13. restart the PC after installing all the drivers
