Installed rise of Nations on Windows 7, now get the white strips on both sides of the screen

All my games started to behave like this... can't understand this one...
I tried to maximize and set the widescreen max screen resolution I can put. If anyone has a different approach, please help.

Try to uninstall and reinstall display drivers. Check if the problem persists.

1. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click Device Manager.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. in the list, locate the graphics card, right click on the device and then click Properties.
3. click Driver tab and click on uninstall, and then click OK.
4 restart the computer.
5. now download and install the graphics card drivers on the manufacturers website.

You can also try to change the video settings in the game and check.
