• Installing Rockbox on a C250. Stupid question... just confirm...

  I would like to install Rockbox on my sansa c250. I read the installation instructions, but I think that they do not mention what partition devrais I copy files of Rockbox to. Since it is a different firmware, I guess it's the partition of 16 MB that appears with the hold on (moved to the rec button) button and press the rec button and plug it into usb port. Someone please confirm.

  Well, this is what I discovered after making a few mistakes.

  I have just connected my c250 to the computer. This example will get the 2 GB partition. Sansapatcher has begun. The sansapatcher installs the bootloader. I don't know about the partion of 16 MB or 2 GB or elsewhere. It a report see the two were leaving you... If you start the player to go into the partition of 16 MB, sansapatcher will not install.

  For Rockbox also, comes from c250 to connect to the computer. Rockbox unzipped to the 2 GB partition. This creates the .rockbox folder in your 2 GB partition. Unix users use ls - al to see the folder - don't forget it is a hidden folder. If you copy rockbox on the partition of 16 MB, then you will get the message that it could not find rockbox.mi4 at startup.

  I have not install additional themes and fonts, ones that come with the base installation that I think is sharp and pretty good.

  Sorry, but I was away for the holidays.

  I have deleted all of the HP software and have re-installed the entire package, including the pilots.  The system has yet to request the correction of the 64-bit scanner.   I was able to quickly test before you leave on vacation and it works.  We will see what happens.

• iTunes movies Streaming gets interrupted from time to time... very bad movies

  Since I switched to AppleV 4th generation, downloaded movies get interrupted frequently during playback. I have uploaded a local NAS, who has always worked in the past and the stream via WiFi or Ethernet (tried both, same result).

  It started with Apollo 13, that I had long conversations with the iTunes Store support on. They have money back and asked me to re-download, but the same "stutters" occur, sometimes for a second, sometimes for 10 seconds or more, make films very bad.

  iTunes Store support sent to the AppleTV support and I've read that others have reported the same or similar behavior.

  Am running 9.1 tvOS (just updated today, in fact, so do not know if the behavior above has been fixed to 9.1). Model AppleTV is A1625 (64 GB).

  I should add that the same movies work well when directly looked on a Mac, it seems that streaming to the AppleTV is the problem somehow...

• Problem with installing Rockbox on e250 v01

  I want to put a 4 GB MicroSD in my Sansa e250 v01 and I have read, I need to Rockbox, if I want my player to recognize the card. So I downloaded the latest version of Rockbox, copied on my player (directory is called .rockbox) and the problems started:

  (1) Firstly, I tried installing automated, but the Rockbox utility can't find my drive (Windows XP, the drive is named as Sansa e250, but not as a letter, for example E: F:... I tried also with Vista, the same problem occurs).

  (2) then I tried the manual installation, but I have a problem with the installation of the boot loader. I downloaded the sansapatcher.exe, but when I started it, it did not find the player too.

  Can you help me please, I'm doing something wrong? Is there another way to install the bootloader?

  the firmware of the player is the last one: 01.02.24

  The file as e:\track01. CDA cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to re-import the file.

  The .cda file format is not supported by windows media player. You may need to make use of a third party application for converting .cda to a format supported by the Director file.

  You can use your favorite search engine to convert the required file formats.

  When you want to place a picture in another folder in LR, you must drag the thumbnail, not the rectangle around the thumbnail.

  Lightroom can not find the new location of photos installs under Windows. Just not a feature of this program. Therefore, you are better off to make the journey in LR.

  I don't know what tutorials you watch, but as I said, the location of files that have been moved in Windows is not a feature/capability of Lightroom. You have to point Lightroom to the new location of the photo, or better yet, place the photo in LR. Or, better still, not to move photos from one folder to another, rather to browse your photos in Lightroom, using keywords, metadata, and collections (rather than folders) as a method of organization.

  Yes, once you put your photos in Lightroom, they should stay in Lightroom. Thinking that Lightroom is the way in which you manage your photos in the future. do not use the operating system (Windows Explorer or the Mac Finder) to manage or find your photos.
