Installing a WMP54GS card without disc

Hey all!

I exchanged the wireless card WMP54GS from a desktop Pentium III in a newer PC, but the problem is I lost the installation disc.  Now, I searched the web for installation files I thought I would need, he burned them on a disc, and when I ran into the PC most recent I got a quick flash of the Linksys logo and nothing.  I opened the files the in the disk drive and tried to manually launch the. EXE file with the same result.  Is there a possible way to install the card wireless without the official installation disc, or I'm just something wrong?  If you want to check the files that I downloaded to make sure they are correct, they can be found here: http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Linksys-Wireless-G-PCI-WMP54GS-298335-Download-13692.html

Also, I apologize if this has been mentioned in a previous thread.  I looked, but if I just do not see it I would appreciate it if someone could link.

Oops, I think I just find the thread for me: http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/linksys/board/message?message.uid=128725#U128725

So far, it seems to work.  Y at - there a lot of difference between wmp54g wmp54gs cards?

  • Installing the video card TC-705-EB53

I managed to install an eVGA GeForce GT 730 2 GB GDDR5 64 bit card without any problems... except that I first punched the wrong hole in the back of the case :-(.  I guess I can consider additional ventilation?

    I have two questions:

-The specifications say innovate PCI location is 16 x, but Speccy shows like 8 x.  I did something wrong?

-In the photo below what the thing square above the expansion slot, and what are the black and white wires coming from it?  And what is the thicker black wire at the bottom?

    Thanks for all the answers,

    Tom

EVGA is not very clear if it's 8 x or 16 x, because saying PCI - E 2.0 mean anything or at least capable of 16 x.

It is best if you send an email to EVGA and ask for this information.

  • Error 0X0000007E Stop after installing the new card mother and CPU.

Original title: Stop error after installing the new card mother and CPU.

After I installed a new motherboard and CPU I got a stop error 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0XB77EA756, 0XB84C742C, 0xB84C7128) and it restarted immediately. It always starts in safe mode, but I can't understand what is wrong. The old processor is a pentium 4 3 ghz, not sure what the motherboard was, new processor is AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual core 4200 + and I only know that the motherboard is an ASUS socket AM2. Device Manager does not recognize the CPU correctly, it shows just two entries called processor. As far as I can tell, it's almost certainly a driver issue, but I don't know how to diagnose or fix this. I am running windows XP home, I removed my video card, running 2 hard drives at 120 g (M) and 200 g (S), a DVD drive (M) and a reader of CD (S), and a stick of RAM to 1 GB.

If you have made the change without having to reinstall XP, you will be taking and Pray H@ll. the best thing to do would be to reinstall XP and make sure you have the drivers available for your motherboard available so that you can update the installed chipset. In addition, be aware that if you have an OEM of Windows version, the license is dead when you changed the mother/CPU card.

    I hope this helps.

  • long beeps after installing the video card

    Hello

    I recently bought a HP 500-223w.

I wanted to install a power supply a video card.

Here's the problem: everything works fine without the installed video card.

If I install the video card then at startup it gives me a series of long beeps.

I turned it off after the long fourth beep assuming they would UST go on and on.

The power supply is more than enough to power the video card.

The video card should not be bad, because I just moved it from another system. (system currently does not, bad mobo)

I was wondering what the infinite long beep on startup?

    Thanks and regards, TJames.

    Hello:

Product for your PC specifications indicate that it comes with Windows 8.1.

To install a video card no HP on PC shipped with Windows 8 or 8.1, you must change both settings of the BIOS before installing the card.

Please see this document for the BIOS to change settings...

  • Vista hang up on start up after installing the VIDEO CARD of 680 GTX

I have installed a 680 GTX graphics card in my system, now Vista will not start in normal mode, it crashes after loading bar, leaving only
a white screen with a mobile mouse pointer. I can boot into safe mode, try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers for the card, without change.

I solved the problem by doing a restore of the system in safe mode, remove the old drivers with Driver Sweeper, then reinstall the drivers again. The card works fine now.

  • TC M51 sluggish after installed PCIe graphics card

Well I went through 10 the 39 pages of this forum and the suspect, I have an answer, but still want to check with anyone in the know.

    I have a model of ThinkCentre M51 1843-wnv and put up-to-date with:

2 GB DDR RAM (total now 2.5 GB) by Kingston

WD Caviar Black 500 GB HARD drive with 32 MB of cache (SATA 7200 RPM)

Map of graph SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4550 PCIe with 512 MB of DDR3 RAM

and I use a logitech (with USB to PS/2 adapter) USB mouse and a USB microsoft ergonomic keyboard

I installed every update, one at a time to make sure things were ok.  Things were ok until I installed the GPU (last updated).  Now my system takes a long time to start and stop and the intermittent mouse jerks across the screen.  I wait a few seconds and he is well again.  It's as if there are not sufficient resources every now and then.  For a time that the office works very well and then a few minutes later he has a jerky behavior that erases then after a wait.  Start and stop are however still much longer than they were.  I have to go and make the coffee while it starts and stops.  But even this behavior is inconsistent.  Sometimes it starts and stops quickly, as it should.

I wonder if the GPU and HARD disk are pushing the limits of my diet (310 watts).  Side of the box GPU stipulates that the minimum requirement is a 300 Watt power supply.  Mine is 310 Watts so I thought I was good, but the desktop is perhaps, with the large disc of HARD fast intermittently requiring more power than is available.

    Any thoughts?

Is an upgrade of the power source easy to do something?  This will solve the performance issue? I've updated GPU, RAM, hard drives, USB and card faxmodem cards.  An upgrade of the power source is easy?

    Thank you!

    Macaws

    Well, how does it work!

I uninstalled the sound integrated edge and also the SoundMax drivers and installed instead an his SB XFi Titanium PCIe card and voila!  not only do you have this problem, but I have now improved for my 5.1 system sound quality speakers.

Why the built-in sound system would cause my office become slow after installing a video card?  How install PCIe sound card and turning off the sound of the mobo solves the problem?

If anyone knows I really want to know how it works.  At the moment, it seems just as if by magic for me.

in any case, I'm very happy.  My 2nd hand desktop Lenovo is a speed demon!  Movhorn thanks for your help.  Very much appreciated.

  • I don't have that PP upgrade DVD Cs6 Cs3, I need to reinstall in a new machine, how can I do this without disc cs6

I have used PP since 1.5 I am now on CS6, but 3 recent updates have been on DVDs of upgrade. Now I need to remove and reinstall the Prime Minister. How can I do this without disc CS6. I can't reinstall CS3 and do the updates individually as CS3 was for Win XP and I'm not sure it would work. Is there a dept in Adobe I can contact (no phone number) to get a DVD CS6. Thank you for any assistance.

Adobe has made this process much simpler in recent years.

No need to re - install any version prior to the current version (CS6). All installers (upgrade or full) contain the complete program code. The difference between the full and upgrade is in the serial number.

All you need to do is download (link below) and install CS6, indicate the number of the CS6 upgrade then enter CS5 serial number (although this is also an upgrade).

    Download the CS6 products

  • How to install windows 7 Firefox without 'Ask search' and other software?

I would like to install Firefox pure, lean without other complementary software, such as "Ask search. Please download from the home page of Mozilla. Thank you for helping.

I moved cela Firefox Support Forum.

    You have two options.
    (1) uninstall the Ask toolbar to page addons (menu button of Firefox (upper right corner)-> Add-ons or Ctrl + Shift + A
    (2) uninstall Firefox and then re - install from Mozilla directly

Yahoo!, Ask, and other companies to combine their toolbars and other nonsense with Firefox it is therefore preferable to get it directly from Mozilla to avoid any "bloat-ware".
