Installing the video card TC-705-EB53

I managed to install an eVGA GeForce GT 730 2 GB GDDR5 64 bit card without any problems... except that I first punched the wrong hole in the back of the case :-(.  I guess I can consider additional ventilation?

I have two questions:

-The specifications say innovate PCI location is 16 x, but Speccy shows like 8 x.  I did something wrong?

-In the photo below what the thing square above the expansion slot, and what are the black and white wires coming from it?  And what is the thicker black wire at the bottom?

Thanks for all the answers,

Tom

EVGA is not very clear if it's 8 x or 16 x, because saying PCI - E 2.0 mean anything or at least capable of 16 x.

It is best if you send an email to EVGA and ask for this information.

  • long beeps after installing the video card

    Hello

    I recently bought a HP 500-223w.

I wanted to install a power supply a video card.

Here's the problem: everything works fine without the installed video card.

If I install the video card then at startup it gives me a series of long beeps.

I turned it off after the long fourth beep assuming they would UST go on and on.

The power supply is more than enough to power the video card.

The video card should not be bad, because I just moved it from another system. (system currently does not, bad mobo)

I was wondering what the infinite long beep on startup?

    Thanks and regards, TJames.

    Hello:

Product for your PC specifications indicate that it comes with Windows 8.1.

To install a video card no HP on PC shipped with Windows 8 or 8.1, you must change both settings of the BIOS before installing the card.

Please see this document for the BIOS to change settings...

  • Try to install the video card. Integrated graphics card does not! (PE T110 II)

    Hello

I tried to install a video card in the x 16 slot PCIE (ASUS Radeon 5450 Silent). I read on the Board that this video card has worked for others with the T110 II.

I turned off the computer and unplug the power cord.

I installed the video card in the x 16 pcie slot.

The VGA cable is connected to the integrated VGA.

When I turn on the computer, my monitor receives no signal. I tried to access the bios to change the settings of the embedded video controller of standard to distributed. Unfortunately, I am unable to see anything on my monitor, it gets no signal. If I try to connect the vga graphics card it shows a screen black nothing else.

The integrated graphics card works again once I remove the location PCIe video card. The integrated graphics card does not work while the video card is connected.

    I 2.8.0 bios version.

I can hear the computer starts, but I don't see what is on the screen, I'm not sure if the bios is starting.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • 6000 pro SFF: installing the video card on 6000 Pro SFF with BIOS 2.03

I am in train to install a video card in my 6000 Pro SFF and find that when the new video card is inserted, neither she, nor my tip on video card working.

Assuming that their must be a way to get the card to operate in the BIOS (2 786 v2.03), I'm going to the "Advanced" tab and find "PCI devices. Underside of the mentioned deviced is 'Controller VGA Intel'. Choice for this controller are the IRQ = 5, 10, 11, or disabled. Apparently, the default value is 5 because that's how it is now set.

A little scared that if I put "Disabled", which will be not only the new video card does not work, but the video card on the motherboard won't work, too.

Y at - it anyone out there that can tell me if you change the VGA Intel controller to disabled is the right way to install the new card, and that I only put my computer in a heavy paperweight by.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

I don't think you have to do anything in the BIOS.  At least, I wouldn't do anything, until you have improved the PSU to see what is happening.

I have a PC HP 800 G1 tour.  When I install an EVA GT 520 external video card I can access is no longer the first screen to get the bios unless I get out the video card.  I want to change the bios to use only the external card, or at least to see the initial splash screen, but cannot access it.  It is running windows 8.1.  I updated the bios to the lasest version and still the same.

  • Help! I lost his PC after installing the video card. The software installed its HDMI audio driver. How can I get sound on PC speakers?

To watch TV on the big screen, I installed a video card with HDMI output. (Sapphire Radeon HD6450)
The software installed its own device driver (AMD Hi definition audio) but disabled my PC speakers (and the headphone jack).
(The sound is displayed on the TV very well, via HDMI, in which I can not type)
I tried to re - activate the driver Legacy in the management of the computer, but the field enable is gray.
The PC is a hp Pavilion a1630n
It is essential for me to get a sound on my regular speakers to work on the PC.

  • install the video card

How can I disable integrated/onboard graphics on my hp 3500 pro using windows 7.  my system does not show a boot option disable security

Most HP desktop PC BIOS turn off the graphics card integrated automatically when a video card is installed.

UEFI PCs are a very different breed. Upgrade one video solution to others which specifies the option HP is quite difficult because of the strict limitations that the BIOS placed on upgrades.

Yours is a work PC and not a class of consumer product.

The NVIDIA GeForce GT635 2 GB and AMD Radeon HD8570 are only two video cards eventually sold with the PC model you own. Low profile cards models are likely to be the best way to go.

  • Install the video card drivers

How to install or get a video card driver?

    Original title: drivers

General information on the update drivers - 't-working-properly#update-driver-hardware-isn't-working-properly=windows-7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-driver-hardware-isn

If you bought the PC from a store/manufacturer, then go do their site of support for your PC model and download from them.

If you have built the PC from purchased parts, then go to the factory of your video cards website and download it from their.

Always choose the right brand (Nvidia or AMD/ATI for example) and the model and the correct version for your PC is to say 32-bit or 64-bit.

    Drivers NVIDIA - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    AMD/ATI drivers - http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

In fact, just download and install the right drivers for your PC brand and model.

  • Vista hang up on start up after installing the VIDEO CARD of 680 GTX

I have installed a 680 GTX graphics card in my system, now Vista will not start in normal mode, it crashes after loading bar, leaving only
a white screen with a mobile mouse pointer. I can boot into safe mode, try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers for the card, without change.

I solved the problem by doing a restore of the system in safe mode, remove the old drivers with Driver Sweeper, then reinstall the drivers again. The card works fine now.

When you install the video card, the embedded video is disabled.  You can use one or the other.  However, if you buy a video card with two ports, you can use two monitors.  You must make sure that the video card will work correctly 300W of power.  A card that requires 350W should run OK, because manufacturers tend to overstate the power requirements of their cards.

  • Cannot install current device driver for the video card.

I get a "blue screen" or "stop error" message after my computer shuts down unexpectedly. He told me to attack the video device driver. I tried to go to the windows updates. Don't choose Custom/Hardware options. By saying that they must be done separately. Also can download the pack family thingy, but won't install it. Not sure if the 2 issues are related.

    Hi ginam4462,

    1. What is the exact stop error or message code?
    2. don't you make changes before the show?
3 you get an error message when trying to install the video card driver?

  • Compatibility of the video card?

I just got a Dell Optiplex 745 of Amazon of an official repairer and want to upgrade to 64-bit. I need a video card that is compatible with this computer. If I get one and then change the OS sytems from 32 to 64 bits after installing the video card will it affect function?

If the computer is not come from the factory with 64-bit, it's very unlikely work with 64 - bit.  Your drivers (for the video card and other elements) cannot install or work this way.

  • Help! The video card upgrade

I have a HP Pavilion p6210y running under Windows 7 64-bit. I recently decided to update my video card and found the AMD Radeon HD 6970. He has an obligation to supply minimum 550 watts of power, so I improved my diet to a 600 Watt power supply.

After installing the video card, it continues to go unnoticed. Advice

Chaaaad, I think that your new power supply (PSU) may be the problem.  He says he has enough punch to power everything from entry-level to mainstream video card.  The XFX card is neither.  It's a high end card.  In addition, there is a 8.lorsque of power supply 6 pins on the map.  Click on the map image to see close-ups of it.  The background of the map image below shows a connector 6-pin on the right side.  This is an additional power connector.  If it is not a cable to do this on the PSU, the card will not work.

The PSU is the backbone of the computer.  It is not the place to save money.  I likeCorsai andOC.  Yes, they are more money, but they are made to your card.  As you can see, there are many comments from users of two of the PSU.  They are a 4 star rating.  That's what I want to see when I buy a computer component

  • Cannot install Windows 8, assuming that its due to the video card... Need help!

Hi all, I'm terribly frustrated today. I think the video card, a brand specifically 6450 marked as a 7450 here, is at the origin of the problems. The pilot was a mess and when I updated and restarted windows 8 (using the stock drivers) then updated after hesitating to Windows 8. After I restarted my computer, windows 8 has been roasted and I couldn't access what anyone, I had to do a recovery install. I wonder if there are any suggestions as to what I can do here, would like any advice! Nick

HI there - don't know why I don't post the model (h8-1227, a Pavilion), but regardless, the issue was not the video card.

    It's a seemingly simple, innocuous add-on I've used for over 2 years.

Never heard of the Asus AI Charger?  It is used to help to "mount" the power to the USB ports on a computer, allowing an iPad draw enough power to recharge in FACT.  It has been a great feature to my computer.

However such, it killed my first USB 3.0 ports, completely.  I would like to install the HP drivers and the USB port will work until I rebooted, then it stops.

I completely misunderstood this as something that might have been originally, but here, I looked at the USB ports in the Device Manager and saw the tag HAVE charger which they are attached.

Something SMALL, simple as it seems, is what was causing all that headache and frustration.  I probably lost more than 20 hours trying to solve a problem this stupid thing caused.  I even ended up buying a new video card, guess THAT's what the problem is here.

What's happened is that the only TWO things I have installed in the computer were the new drivers for video card, Office and the charger HAVE stupid!

Sometimes the simplest things are the most stupidly frustrating things!
