  More info: I found out that this problem only occurs with text in Helvetica Neue. If I select the truncated text and change the font, the text appears correctly in the new font. I tried to install a new copy of Helvetica Neue in the font book and turning off the old, but it makes no difference. Each copy of Helvetica Neue works perfectly fine in other applications. It is more and more a puzzle!

  I understand that you can not copy the files to a folder. I'm not sure where the destination is, but I would recommend that you look at the permissions for your destination file. As long as you are authorized, you should be good to go.

  I have a very frustrating problem with my HP Pavilion dm4 - 3.55dx Entertainment PC running Windows 7. I bought it 3 months back and it worked very well at the speed I expected to until yesterday when I restarted.

  I was watching videos on youtube when my google chrome crashed. And then every time I restarted chrome, it would start but will not let me type. As a result, I started using Firefox and that worked very well. But I had all my bookmarks and stuff on Firefox so I decided to restart my laptop, hoping that would solve the problem of chrome.

  When it restarted, everything went well, I connected and my office has appeared, but it froze. I couldn't do anything and he would not recognize the clicks. Nothing seemed to work so I used the power button on for close and tried again. The same problem. Then I opened a session in Safe Mode and checked the event viewer and there was an error on the Microsoft .NET Framework v4 period.

  I also had DCOM 1084 errors but I'm assuming this is because I was in safe mode in time. The other persistent mistake was my WLAN won't start not in Normal mode (I can access the internet fine with safe mode).   Whenever I start my laptop itll seem like if its normal startup, then the home screen it's just becomes completely black when it should now display my desktop.   As your screen works in safe mode it tells me this is a diplay setting that is conflicting with the hardware.

  Start in safe mode and do a right-click on computer and select manage.

  Invite through permissions. Once the loads from the console:

  Now, in the left pane, click Device Manager.

  Find the setting for the graphics card.

  Right-click on your graphics card and select uninstall device.

  Restart machine and Windows will reinstall your graphics card with the default settings.

  You may need to adjust your resolution to your tastes.

  Then try to find out what kind of program has caused the problem initially.
