Integrated video driver fails to load (Code 12)

On my HP Pavilion a6040n desktop, I started having white-output screen followed with digital / analog pop-up messages and finally get "no signal found."   Troubleshooting I removed the video card GeForce 7600 GT simply use integrated video.  But strangely does not load driver "Intel 82945 G Express Chipset Family' - listed under display adapters in Device Manager!  Fortunately there is something called "VGA Save" so I can't see what is happening.

The graphics card has the yellow bang and properties read: "this device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12). If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. »

I tried uninstalling (with and without control "Delete software for this device") several times followed by restarts or scanning for new hardware.  The material is still, driver install always but never loads.  I tried the latest video driver downloaded from HP for this box and I checked that I have the latest version of the BIOS rev too.

It looks like stompping of memory (as former IRQ conflicts) but I tried unistalling other devices as webcam with video to see driver if they would re - arrange to install but all reinstalls and loads normally except video!

Thanks for any thoughts.

Thanks for the reply erico - the box running vista.  He had a weekend to solve this and the subsequent problem:

The problem loading driver problem has been resolved with the 'ATI PCI Express 3GIO Filter' removal of Device Manager and patiently wait after a reboot for many PnP devices to recharge.  There are a lot of hits on this update of old hardware and optional from 2007.  It is not clear why this happened now when it was installed on my machine IN 2007 (before I knew better?).  But I must have started this problem with some recent adjustments - new monitor and drivers, other drivers, IE8RC1, etc...

Then I had the problem of conflicting between the edge and nvidia 7600gt graphics cards.  I was getting "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) "after a certain time (a weekend) and a few tips, I was able to uninstall integrated video card and activate the map Nvidia (PCI-E) in the BIOS so that the onboard video doesn't load and cause a conflict.   Many successes on that too, but it was the best: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/NVIDIA-geforce-7600gs-Code-43-graphics-card-after-Windows-Update-t218804.html

Problem solved!

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

  • Driver fails to load the error 39

I have a GS 60 120us laptop.  Recently, I am unable to use my CD DVD optical device due to a failure to install the driver.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, search of the updated drivers to update and still no luck.  System tells me that my driver is up to date.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Hello

It seems that there is either a hardware problem with the optical drive itself or other software is the cause of conflict and prevent the driver install correctly.

    Try the following.

First, follow the procedure in respect of subheading "Let fix me it myself" on the link below to remove upper and lower filters.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R.  For the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the next window, click the Startup tab, uncheck the box next to each startup item and then click on apply to apply the change.  Restart the portable computer for this change to take effect.

Now go through the process described below, once more.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 open windows control panel, open Device Manager, open CD/DVD-ROM drives.  Click with the right button on the drive and select Uninstall and click on the prompt to complete this.  Close the Device Manager window.

    2. click on the Menu start, open the computer, double-click Local C drive, open the "Windows" folder, open the "System32" folder, right click on the folder "DriverStore", open the "FileRepository" folder, open the folder that starts "cdrom.inf" (2006 version), right click the ' filecdrom.sys' and select copy.

Close all open windows and then paste this file to your desktop.

    3. click on the Menu start, open the computer, double-click Local C drive, open the "Windows" folder, open the "System32" folder, then this time Open the folder "drivers", right-click and select Paste.  You should now get a prompt that the file already exists - select the option copy and replace and click on all additional guests to complete it.

    4. open windows control panel, open Device Manager, and click the icon 'Search for hardware changes' (just below the help on the toolbar).

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the driver installs successfully or not, you must reactivate your items from startup by holding down the Windows key by pressing R.  For the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the next window, click the Startup tab, place a check next to each startup item and then click on apply to apply the change.  Restart the portable computer for this change to take effect.

Do you still get the same error when you try to reinstall the driver?

    THE FIXED!

I went Googling little more and found that someone else had the same problem.
    The solution was very simple:

    services.msc
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework
Change the startup type to "Manual" to "automatic".

Connect and disconnect USB devices and restart with or without them - no problem.
Why he was put on "Manual", I don't know.

  • Black screen because of a video driver when the computer loading.

I tried to change my video driver and now I get a black screen when loading Windows Vista.  How can I regulate the video driver or any other suggestions?

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? You start the computer, press F8 repeatedly. Cases in this use System
Restore and/or know last good configuration.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No registration necessary data and re - install Windows Vista may be the best option if
    Here are a few more.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd drive (the best) or a
External drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD,
or other USB keys. Of course, a real computer store or your system maker can help to recover
    the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

Use Ubuntu Live CD to backup files from your Windows computer dead

    --------------------------------------------------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is
CTRL + ALT + DEL - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS
-then on the Applications tab - lower right kind - new task - in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode
is accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC will also start task
    Manager.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide

  • My Satellite P300 forget sometimes load the video driver

My laptop (Satellite P300) sometimes "forget" to start to load the videodriver.
If the resolution is by default in the Windows startup screen.
No matter what version of Windows I have, all the drivers are up to date.

When I restart for the most part, the problem is solved...

To be honest I never heard of something like that. in recent years, my brother has P300. In the beginning he used with original Vista and 2 years its P300 works with Win7. No problem at all.

I don't know which OS you are using now, but have you tried reinstalling the video driver (display)?
I also hope that you are using driver on Toshiba download page.
