Intel (r) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27 8 does not work correctly

On my Toshiba Netbook USB ports do not work. When I troubleshoot I get error: Intel (r) 82801G (ICH7 Family) USB Universal Host Controller - 27 8 does not properly detected - Windows has detected a problem with Intel (r) 82801 G don't anyone knows how to solve this problem?

Hello

I suggest that you install the latest drivers for the chipset from the manufacturers Web site.
http://www.Toshiba.com/Tai/

Alternatively, you can try to install the utility to update .inf for the chipset model of check and Intel website.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

So currently, both of my USB 2.0 sockets do not work because no drivers have been installed.

I tried different drivers, but none of them worked. So I need some help here guys. Thank you.

Sure. You can dual boot Windows and Linux.

    Thanks in advance.

The Intel Chipset driver support USB drivers. You can download it from the Support/Drivers from Toshiba website.

But if you have recently installed a strange USB device (perhaps a keyboard/mouse/drive HARD USB), the driver may be contradictory. If you remove this driver from Control Panel-> features of the program first, and then reinstall the Intel Chipset driver.

  • Here's a strange. I have a HTML page with this time a wmv video. It works perfectly from a USB stick or SD card, but does not work when they are copied to the hard drive

I have an HTML page created with web expression 4. It contains only a wmv video. It works perfectly when it is called from a USB stick or SD card, but does not work when they are copied to the hard drive. The results are the same with IE and Firefox. It don't make no difference if I use Media Player V9 or V11. He has no control on the page Media Player. Video and html files are in the same directory. Here is the code snippet:

    LIFT, DRAG, THRUST and GRAVITY

If I run it on a machine with Win 7 there is no problem.

  • Webcam USB 2.0 on my laptop with windows vista error device does not work correctly

    Original title:

I just plugged a usb2.0 webcam on my laptop with windows vista. It is loaded ok, but the device manager says that the device does not work correctly. Any ideas please.

I just got a webcam via ebay and plugged into my laptop. I'm working on windows vista. He finds and load device software right away, no problem. But I can't work. go into my device manager it tells me that the device does not work correctly. Any ideas please.

    Hi Matthew,

The first thing I would try is to connect the webcam to another computer to make sure that the webcam is not defective.

Now, check out these links and return to the State of the question.

When hardware installed in or attached to a computer doesn't work properly, it is often because of a driver problem.

  • USB foot pedal problem (Infinity IN-USB-2): recognized by Windows but does not work on VMware Workstation 10

When I connect an Infinity IN-USB-2 pedal for my guest Windows 7 Professional (on Ubuntu 14.04 and VMware Workstation 10.0.2), the pedal gets recognized by Windows and different applications, but by pressing the pedal itself has no effect.

I downloaded a USB foot pedal Tester (http://vec-infinity-in-usb-1-foot-pedal-tester.soft112.com/) on the client and he acknowledged that the device is connected, but when I pressed on any of the three pedals, the tester has not detected the presses.

I tried the pedal on a real Windows computer, and it worked fine.

When I connect the pedals, even with the guest in the foreground, VMware Workstation will appear a dialog box:

The specified device is claimed by another (usbhid) driver on the host operating system. The device can be used. To continue, the appliance will be first disconnected from its current driver. [Cancel] [OK]

When I click 'OK', we state above: Windows recognizes that the device is connected, but foot-presses are not detected. My other USB devices are not pop this dialog box. (Click Cancel maintains the device disconnected from the guest.) I don't know if the dialog box is significant or a red herring.

Here's what/var/log/syslog says when I connect the pedal with the Windows client in the foreground:

kernel: [281434.822751] usb 2 - 1.7: new low speed USB device number 28 using ehci-pci

Thanks for the ideas on solving this problem.

Answering my own question: I spoke with a salesman who told this pedal does not work on virtual machines for the following reason:

These pedals are all just Universal USB controllers that require programs or applications to be able to see and recognize them for use. Because they are installed by the base of Windows and Generic USB devices drivers, they can not be seen my remote computers via USB sharing etc.

They recommended using a hotkey program to work around the problem. I have not tried this solution, but bought a different pedal that works out of the box with VM: a vP-1 vPedal. Lower build quality than infinity (in my opinion) but it works perfectly.

This is the idea of the key of the seller:

I have a solution that will allow you to use the pedal as expected if the remote program who need to use supports the use of shortcut keys. For example, these pedals are commonly used with NCH Software Express Scribe professional software. This software can use either a pedal, or you can assign the playback functions to access keys. In the scenario you are talking you re Express Scribe on the remote computer to use keyboard shortcuts, you then install Pedalware (http://www.altoedge.com/pedalware/index.html), a free Windows only the foot pedal utility made by NCH Software, you then use the Pedalware utility to assign the buttons on the pedal of a keyboard shortcut that coincides with those remote program.

  • USB optical mouse is recognized but does not work.

I use a computer portable 64-bit of windows 8 and I have tried to use all ports.

The red light under the mouse appears upwards (the mouse is a mouse usb HP in the base address) but I'm not able to click or move.
I read the previous posts about other people with this kind of problem and checked my device manager and uninstalled all my drivers and then re them installed for the mouse, but I noticed that when I uninstall the drivers mouse and plug it in again, it installs several things; under Human Interface drivers it installs the HID-compliant device and 3 USB input devices.
It also installs "HID-compliant mouse" under "mice and other pointing devices".
Every 10-20 seconds it will make noise that indicates it is be unplugged and plugged back in and all the drivers disappear and reappear.
I tried to use another mouse that looks like this, and none of them work in my laptop. They both work in my PC and my laptop of brothers, they are both windows 7.
    Thank you

    Hello

As you have tried 2 other mice in all ports of the computer and both does not work, but the same mouse works in any other computer shows that the problem is with the controllers USB (universal Serial Bus) of the laptop.

I would ask you re-install Bus controllers and check if that helps.

a: press the Windows key + R, and then click on Device Manager

    b. expand the Controllers of Bus USB section by clicking on the'+' sign.

    c. Uninstall each of the devices under the section USB Controller by right-clicking on each one, and then clicking Uninstall.

    d. close the Device Manager and restart your computer. Windows RE-automatically install the USB controllers in your computer, without you having to do anything further. Your computer is now running properly USB devices.

Answer please if you have any questions.

  • The USB support in offline mode option does not work

I just bought a new netbook NB100, version of ubuntu. The option to recharge an iPod via the USB port (even if the computer is on but is shutdown or standby extended) does not work. I saw that this problem was already recognized by a few critics of the product, i.e.:

    of apcmag.com:
Yet all Toshibaa? s card promised USB 2.0 ports could load connected devices even while the netbook is off (as long as it remains connected to Acre, of course), it could not charge an iPod.

I'm interested to know if there is a way to solve this problem. It is a unique option of Toshiba being mentioned nowhere in their product pages and in the guide.

    Best regards
    Tom

You must set it in the BIOS (F2 at startup). I think it's under advanced in the BIOS menu. Choose Mode 1; If that doesn't work try Mode 2.

  • Satellite L50 - C - 1 L 2 - USB 3.0 does not work correctly

Hi, the new Satellite L50 - C - 1 L 2 has maybe a problem of USB 3.0. All the componetens that I connect to USB 2 works correctly. But some of these plugged into USB 3 doesn't work. A driver from Microsoft for USB 3.0 extensible Hostcontrolller v 1.0 is installed, no more. I cannot find any USB 3.0 driver in collection of driver of Toshiba. What can I do? They are a special USB 3.0 driver?

    Greetings, Michael

im not toshiba but tell me how you know that your usb sata 3 do not work, you should have a usb 2.0 port and two usb 3.0 ports, if you use the usb 2.0 to usb 3.0 port device you will get only 2.0 speeds. USB 3.0 is backward compatible with usb 2.0 even peripheral id usb 3.0 according to manufacturer and specs of the device and how to use it. lets say spec is of high quality and again then you transfer files small speed should be fast that belong to 3.0 speeds but if you transfer large files then your currency becomes warm or hot and gets corrupted performance speeds down you can even get up to usb 2.0 speed and maybe that's why you think that your USB 3.0 ports do not work correctly , I hope that its clear things that worry you.

  • Equium A80: PS2/USB adapter does not work correctly

I have a satellite A80. I bought an adapter to allow me to use a graphics tablet on the usb ports. The adapter gives a ps2 keyboard and mouse ps2.

The adptor is recognized by windows and displayed in the list of hardware. It also shows the mouse connected to it as a gift. But, the problem is there is no movement of the mouse either and the ps2 keyboard does not work either.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I have never used these adapters and I can t give you a solution, but I can only speculate on this issue.
I think you should check the mouse options in Control Panel. Here, you can also configure the settings. It is possible with the USB mouse, but I don't know if this is possible with the USB - PS2 adaptor. However, you can check it out.

I remember, a friend of mine tried to use the keyboard PS2 on the desktop PC.
He bought a USB-> adapter PS2 but it didn t work.
The technician had said that there could be an IRQ problem.

Well, you can also try to go to Device Manager and select mice and other pointing devices area.
If he has listed more than peripheral mouse so I recommend disable it and only turned on the PS/2 compatible mouse.
Try to do the same thing with PS/2 keyboard.

  • An api imported USB does not work correctly

    Hello everyone,

I am currently using LabVIEW to communicate with a USB device and I had to import an api USB I bought. With VC ++ this api works well, but LabVIEW has its problems.

First of all, I imported through Tools > Import > Library (DLL), chose the DLL and the corresponding and any Headerfile which worked without problems. Now I got my 14 VI, one for each function declared in the DLL.

It is, most of these functions will not properly work, or maybe I just don't understand their right or give them the wrong settings. I will attach a screenshot of the 'GetList.vi', which should return a list of all connected USB devices.

My guess is that the defined pList could be a problem because it must contain the char, int etc but as you can see in the screenshot, contains only numbers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Pedro

EDIT: Here's the description of the documentation of the api USB GetList method:

    GetList)
This function searches the system for USB HID devices and generates a list of these devices and their availability.  The caller must provide a pointer to a buffer that will contain the list of entries of the structure.  Must also provide an integer representing the maximum number. entries may contain the buffer.  Returns the total number stored.

    int CUsbHidApi::GetList)
    unsigned int VendorID,
    unsigned int ProductID,
    char * manufacturer.
    char * SerialNum,.
    char * DeviceName,.
    mdeviceList * pList.
    (int nMaxDevices);

    Description of the settings:

VendorID / / Vendor ID search (0xffff if not used)
ProductID / / product ID of research (0xffff if not used)
Constructor / / manufacturer (NULL if not used)
SerialNum / / serial number to search for (NULL if not used)
DeviceName / / name of the search tool (NULL if not used)
pList / / table of the appellant for the storage devices
nMaxDevices / / size of the ArrayList to the appellant (no.entries)

    smercurio_fc wrote:

When I posted response you has not yet posted any header file, so I did not see the header that you posted 2 minutes after my answer. In view of the header, you should be able to call these functions. However, the pList parameter is a pointer to a structure that contains variable length strings. This isn't something that you can easily manage, and such a question was discussed several times on this forum. When you get to this level of complexity in terms of parameter data types, you will need to write a wrapper DLL so that the types of data between LabVIEW and the DLL are simple data types only.

In fact the code created byt the library import wizard handles pointers of varying sizes correctly for an item in the structure, so nMaxDevices must never be placed in anything else but 1.

It is also not entirely clear if manufacturer, DeviceName and SerialNum always are inputs to the function or not, but I guess they are. A problem here is that the DLL function expects a NULL pointer if it must ignore the string parameter according and not only a string empty, so you will probably need to create call several nodes of the library with the configuration of the various parameters to ignore one or more of these settings.

The data type of mDeviceList which had been initially used by the library with a fixed size of embedded strings would have been a little bit more efficient to implement in LabVIEW but always a PITA too.

I can only recognize smercurios statement that this type of API is absolutely better managed with a wrapper DLL. While it is not impossible to do it entirely in LabVIEW, it is more than the import library Wizard can eventually handle automatically and doesn't require so some stunts of advanced in the LabVIEW diagram memory pointer that must be done manually. Something which is not really run by a person without some serious C programming knowledge, but this person is clearly going for the wrapper DLL solution because it is much easier to manage than to do everything in a LabVIEW diagram by hand.
