Intel Rapid Storage driver

I have two desktops Dell XPS 8700. They are both about a year. A few days ago I installed the update of anniversary of 10 windows on two of them. That seemed to go OK. I used the two pcs for a little while, after the update is complete. When I stopped the first machine, there was already an update. I chose the update and close. The next day, I was on the other pc, and after I used it for a few hours, suddenly a program does not open. I finally restarted and I might have expected, there was an update being installed. (I had this same senario happens sometimes so I wan't surprised, that is to say, things quite normally, then you will find Microsoft has eliminated a update requires a reboot, but does not tell you.) But then the trouble started. The update takes a long time and then came the login screen, but every time I tried to enter my password, the screen would freeze and it will re-start. After 5 repetitions of this, I got a black screen that says from ASR and then it went to a blue screen that says that WRkrn.sys is damaged or missing and I need a disc or a system administrator. I couldn't remember if I had created a recovery disc or where I had put. I ran to the other computer to create one, but when I started it up, exactly the same thing happened. I called Microsoft and they wanted me to them starts in safe mode, but I couldn't. Then, they had me create an ISO image. I'm sure it was the last version. I tried to repair, System Restore, etc, but nothing worked. So I got finally from a Macrium backup. But now I'm afraid of any update from Microsoft.

I watched this show on the web and some have said that the Intel rapid storage driver update fixed that problem for them. So I wonder if I should update this driver before that Microsoft is trying to push it on me once again. But how to find the right driver for my system. I searched Dell and I found one that is a 32-bit driver. He said that it also works on 64 bit systems. But is there a 64-bit driver.

How can I find what other drivers are available for my system? I have to enter my service tag?

Honestly, I got no problem with every machine since I bought it and I hate to fix it if it ain't broke.

Been a number of probs with recent updates MS causing problems like yours...

You can always go to the Intel download site and enter their driver update scanner. It will review your material and recommend the updated drivers.

    Hello!

After experimentation and testing, I think I found the solution.  Install the latest driver from here . It is the latest version of the Intel RST pilot. It will also update the drivers in Device Manager. Just make sure that your computer uses the technology of fast storage.

Unfortunately, I found an official driver of HP...

Before installing, enter the BIOS and check if your SMART response and RST settings are enabled.

You are running Windows 7 or Windows 8? I see that you still have the installed cache acceleration mSATA 32 gig drive and it has the Intel Rapid Storage, just off acceleration partition. Can you find the control panel Intel Rapid Storage and reformatting the drive to 32 gig Accelerator? It will look something like this:

I suggest also just remove acceleration 32 gig of hard drive. You have really no more. You can not acclerate a SSD and shouldn't do anyway since having a main SSD is still faster than having the accelerator. See page 44 of the Manual:

I recently bought a HP ENVY Phoenix 810-135qe desktop computer, during a performance of the construction in the auditor of updates to HP program that it is announcing the following update available for my machine and I was wondering if there were more details about what he actually did and/or updates/patches?

    Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver

    Description
This package provides the driver for Intel Chipset SATA RAID solutions and SATA AHCI Controller in models supported that are running a supported operating system.

    Communicate details
    Exit the: 2014-01-23

    Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

As you can see the description of correction and improvement really provided no details as to what is fixed or improved.

If I need to apply this patch, it would be nice to understand a little better what to expect and what is fixed and/or improvements.  You have to forgive me because I'm old school and I usually generally follow the routine "if it ain't broke don't fix it".  I'll do what it takes well so I have a better understanding of what is going to happen in the case where updating mess something inadvertently.

    Hello:

What is the technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology software.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/chipsets/IMSM/sb/CS-020784.htm

It is not necessary to install the update if you do not want.

I doubt you will notice a difference in performance if you have it installed.

It is unlikely that all the problems would result in the update (however could apply Murphy's law), but like you said... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology made disappear from HARD drive

Recently my laptop stopped windows startup. When I turned it on, Intel Rapid Storage Technology 12.7.0.1936 technology window appeared and said that one of my SSD volume is off and asked me to press CTRL + I to access the Configuration utility. When I pressed on that, I could only select Reset Disks to Non-RAID option. So I chose, but windows still didn't start with a Operation System not found message.

So I changed the following settings in the BIOS:

    • SATA Operation: AHCI (instead of Intel Smart Response Technology)
    • Technology Intel Quick Start: People with mobility reduced (and not active)
    • List start option: Legacy (instead of UEFI)

Then I was able to start windows setup from usb. Windows repair did not help, I had The drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again. message. So I just temporary installed windows on a SSD (during the installation of my disc drive 500 GB HARD is not visible).

I even booted ubuntu live USB, and it didn't detect my HARD disk drive.

My HARD drive is not visible in the BIOS. It shows Fixed HDD: None .

    Plug my laptop:

    • Dell Inspiron 14 7000 series 7437
    • Intel Core i5-4210U CPU @ 1.7 GHz
    • mSata device LITEONIT LMS-32L6M m-(S1) 32GB
    • Windows 8.1

Someone know any tool or approach how to unlock my RST HARD drive and make it visible again?

The drive does not have (the first symptoms you describe were your imminent disk failure warning) and must be replaced.

  • WIN8 64-bit driver Intel Rapid Storage v.11.6.0.1030, A00 XPS 8500 download fails

    Material: XPS 8500, OS: Windows 8, 64 - bit.

I am trying to download the latest driver Intel rapid storage (v.11.6.0.1030, A00) for 64-bit Windows 8 from the page downloads and drivers, because the version currently installed (11.5.0.1207) has a memory leak in the service of IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe (it is close to 2 GB of memory using at present and continues to increase). Intel forums suggest the update or revert the driver.

When I try to download driver Intel Rapid Storage v.11.6.0.1030, A00, called RST_Intel_W84_A00_Setup - 5GPDD_ZPE.exe, the option 'Download single file' gives the error message:

"Sorry, the requested file could not be downloaded.

An internal error has occurred. Please try again later. »

When I try to download with the option "Download Manager", it gives the error message:

"The file has been corrupted during the download."

Please can you advise me how to do a download of this driver?

You can also get this file here: Intel IRST.  Dell sometimes has trouble with his page drivers and downloads.

EDIT: by the way; someone seems to have noticed the problem as there are has now two links to the file on the page downloads and drivers.  The first link seems to work, while the latter leads to the page you originally found.

  • Issue on Inspiron 5110 15 R and Driver "Intel Rapid Storage Technology."

In "Windows 8 Upgrade Checklist' of the valleys, Article ID: 575112, they recommend updates to some drivers when migrating to Windows 8.  Especially me confused, it's their registration one driver "Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology." The confusion comes, I can't find any driver with that name on their support site for driver for the Inspiron N5110, either in Win 7 or 8 entries. Do I really need this driver or Windows 8 will provide it. If the latter does not, and it is necessary, where can I find the driver given the fact that it is not in the supported drivers? Thanks again in advance for any help offered...

According to the FTP site, Windows 8 likely has a driver, because it lists it for XP/V/7, but not 8:

    FTP.Dell.com/.../Inspiron-15R-n5110.html ATA

Drivers are located under Serial ATA on the Support Site, but again, none are listed for W8, which normally means that it is not necessary.

  • Intel Rapid Storage Mgr does not see my SATA III Drives

I was wondering if my BIOS settings are wrong. I have two SATA III (6 GB/s) plugged into the appropriate Sockets. Motherboard ASUS P8P67 B3. Readers appear in Explorer but in the Intel Rapid Storage Mgr, ports are empty. How will I know that I get max performance of these drives?

Leave the controller in raid mode. Provides the same functionality as AHCI and you can change to raid later if you choose.

  • Tecra Z50 - A - Intel Rapid Storage Technology does not

    Dear Sir

We bought a lot of laptops Toshiba Tecra Z50 - A with a hybrid HDD (with SSD cache).

    The exact model:
    TECRA Z50 - A
    PT544E-00D01TBT

We staged and repartition laptops via SCCM.
However, when you install all the drivers and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software, I see that only rge WHAT HDD is used and no partition SSD with the Intel RST.

    How we enable this?
The problem is that the performance is incredibly bad.
Laptops are very slow, even if the specifications are good:
    CPU i5-4200U
    8 GB RAM
    Windows 7 x 64

No idea how to turn this Intel RST?
In the BIOS I find no option for RAID, as must be enabled for the RST to work.

    Thank you

To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly the RAID mode. There is no RAID mode.
The laptop was equipped with a 500 GB SATA HDD HYBRID.

The part of the HARD drive is used for writing, the SSD part for the reading of the data.
The performance of SSHD can be placed between a HDD and SSD, but it s significantly slower than an SSD.

If you have already installed the - Intel Rapid Storage Manager driver, then the service should work

In the case where it does not run in the background, try to install the latest Intel RST page of Intel driver.

  • Intel Rapid Storage Technology and envy 700-330qe

I'm a new 700-330qe CTO. Include updates of driver on the hp support is for technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I first thought it was a driver of hardware like my former lodge (he had a card Intel Matrix Storage Manager who managed the RAID 0, 1 or 0 + 1).  Now I see that it is a software emulation of RAID. Nowhere in the documentation supplied with the machine is there any mention of the capacity of this machine to run any form of RAID. I have two HARD drives, and they are the same size, so, theoretically, that I could run RAID 0 or 1, if I so wish, but is nowhere mention of a way to do it. I see the BIOS must be configured to run RAID.

I'm NO expert. I was wondering where I can find more on how to set up a RAID machine. So far, I still didn't look in the BIOS (not even sure how to do this, while some of you think I'm stupid). I guess I get a little twisted shape when a product has features that should be out in the open but seem to be hidden. Any help would be appreciated to reallyhl.

    Hello

You can use the TSRI for caching, but you must first disable ExpressCache to run.  If you buy a longer MSATA card of 64 GB (128 GB) then the remaining space can serve as a data storage area.

  • Technology Intel Rapid Storage from BIOS

I have an Aspire S5 with a 128 GB SSD. The SSD is seen in the laptop as two 64 GB drives and is configured as RAID0 as default. At one point the RAID has not and I tried factory reset, but the laptop would not get into the recovery mode (by pressing ALT + F10 and all variants of ALT/CTRL/F keys) then I reinstalled manually with a USB key.

In the BIOS, both drives are considered to be of 64 GB, but Windows only a drive on which I have installed is considered 64 GB, it is still considered the RAID drive (128 GB). It is not usable because I need to format it first, but I dare not do this. I see that the recoverypartition is still on it, but since in RAID0 RAID0, I'm assuming that all data on this partition Ghost is not usable in some way.

When starting the laptop I get the fast Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology (press CTRL + I), and it is said that the RAID has failed, listing the two disks (partitions), one of them as a member and the other (the one I reinstalled Windows on) not as a member. So I deleted this configuration and recreate and reinstall Windows again. But when I deleted the configuration I can access any more to technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology, the guest never happen! It just directly boots into Windows. By pressing CTRL + I on startup does not, probably because the FIRST is not loading...

I'm going to assume that the recoverypartition disappeared forever, since I have already reinstalled on one of the partitions, but I'd like to at least get a RAID running again.

TL; DR - technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology itself uninstalled from the Board of Directors, how can I enable it again?

If you are not using windows 7, I strongly suggest you to re - install under UEFI.

I suggest you update the BIOS if no update for your S5 is available, perhaps this may solve your problem of TSRI:

  • With the help of the ReadyCache with Intel Rapid Storage Technology?

I just upgraded to Win8 and the ReadyCached doesn't seem to work.  My motherboard supports the Intels Rapid Storage Technology (RST), so I think to convert thie ReadyCache in an ordinary SSD.  How can I do this?  I just reformat the ReadyCache enable RAID in the BIOS and then hope for the best?

You can use the drive as a normal SSD all that you need to do is to reformat. no need for RAID really it can work in any RAID or AHCI IDE mode. Technology Intel Rapid storage technology is the SATA driver. Intel RST 11.6 is currently not took with the Expresscache software, but which is supposed to be fixed in the next software update.
