Intel SSD 310 Series 80 GB (Mini PCIe SATA card)

Together, Hy

Last week I compressed orderd the X 201 with the following data:

CPU: Intel Core i5 - 560 M

HARD drive: 500 GB (7200 RPM)

RAM: 1x4Go (PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067 MHz)

WWAN: not built in but expandable

My Question is now, can I build instead in a SSD SATA Mini PCIe card instead the WWAN Module and start the system on this SSD? Having someone has tried it before? Have someone tried another PCIe Mini Card SSD (in the X 201 Tablet) and can tell me something about this.

I would like to take advantage of this SSD: (have some expirience with that SSD?)

Really thank you all

Good night from Austria,

Robert

your X201T slots are mPCIe, not mSATA.   they are the same form factor, they are electrically routed differently.   Unfortunately the intel 310 card does not work in your system.

Hi, im trying to buy a wireless mini LAN card pci for my toshiba Equium A60-157... do not know what an I need or I can use? Thanks Carl

  • Installation of a missing mini PCI WiFi card in the Satellite 2450 101?

My Satellite s2450-101 seems devoid of a WiFi card.

There is no mention of such a card in the adapters in device Manager\Network, which lists the following three elements: 1) 1394 Net adapter MAC bridge Miniport) 2 and 3) Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
The Wireless Communication switch on "on" does not have the led lights up.
By pressing Fn + F8, that should turn the wireless LAN has no effect.

Responses to the following would be much appreciated:

The laptop S2450-101 comes equipped with a mini PCI WiFi card in standard, or not?

If so, how can it be activated?

If it is not the case, how can we install such a mini-PCI card? The laptop is more two years and more under warranty.

    Sincere thanks.

    Hello

I found the info that this unit is ready WLAN and is attributed to the WLAN option in option. Check please the Device Manager and see if the wireless adapter is listed under network adapter. If this is not the case, the device is without wireless network card.

Let us know if the card is on board and we can write once again how the card must be activated.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the WLAN slot is placed under the keyboard. There is also the antenna cables (black and white cable). Update is not a problem, and you can only do so at your own risk of course. ;)

Unfortunately I put t know exactly what WLAN card is compatible. If you want you can use the external solution. It is much easier.

  • Pavilion dv2-1030ea, upgrading to N Wireless - do blacklist photo hp certain wireless mini pci-e cards?

Hi, I just got a pavilion dv2-1030ea as a gift and I want to upgrade the card wireless to a version N (only comes with B and G compatible card), but on some sites, he pointed out that not all wireless mini pci-e cards do work with computers laptops hp.

is this always true? If so what cards are supported? also if this is the case how can I remove this restriction? IMHO, I should be able to use my computer as I see fit, not how the manufacturer decides is acceptable.

Thanks in advance for any info

  • Intel SSD 750 series

In a moment of weakness I just bought an Intel SSD series 750 800 GB HHHL (SSDPEDMW800G4x1), mainly due to a decline in prices of $100 (i.e. CDN $729) CDN.

I was looking to replace a rest of spinning by car, but find myself questioning this decision as the 750 series write speed is specified only 800 MB/s, which is much slower than my Samsung 950 Pro m2 (1527 MB/s) and the four Samsung 850 Pro in a Raid 0 configuration (1833 MB/s).

However, I can live with the read speed of the 750 that is specified to 2000 MB/s.

The idea is to use the SSD 750 instead of the current system SSD drive and use it for various no video and image data, which is currently on a HARD drive.

My quandry, should I return the Intel SSD 750 (have'nt opened the package yet) and wait for a more rapid decline in prices of PCIe version, or am I being too critical...

Anyone here using this drive and what are your impressions?

What I wanted, it was speed cache, it is to say when the cache handles all the instructions of reading and writing for reader requests gives significantly better performance because the ram is much faster than the disks or sata controllers. This performance is normally called gust or peak transfer rates. Once the cache fills well performance begins to normalize that the sata controller can manage ideally. The drive itself also limits this based on the speed and latency the reader can process these requests queued. More it takes to completely fill the cache over the drive or raid maintains the burst transfer rate. Once the cache fills although transfer rates begin to fall. 8 GB cache is standard for most of the highend SAS controllers and gives you an excellent performance for the raid because raid instructions are stored in the cache and manipulated in real time of the RAM of the system or the disc. This allows the controller handle tasks as fast as possible without waiting on disks to provide more data or be ready for more data to write.

SSD drives will slow down over time of writing and deletion to allocate their share files. This is due to how the SSD firmware avoid writing permanent erase cycles. You can return an SSD performance unprecedented in formatting or by writing zeros for it. When using the SSD for media raids, it becomes a standard maintenance process, you want to do periodically.

  • Satellite P300-23F-mini-PCI Wireless card Replace?

Question: would it be possible to replace the card of wireless mini-PCI Intel 5100AGN with version 4965AGN or 5300AGN?

The thing is, recently I bought the Satellite P300-23F. Great laptop. Apart from one thing. I use the Intel 5100AGN wireless. Type of damage, the rest of the components used to build this laptop are high-end. I would have liked to see the 5300AGN of even the old 4965AGN adapter instead. These are both a bit more expensive, but still on the market for the price difference is a simple slice of $20. The 5100AGN TX is only 150 Mbit, which is half as fast as the two other Intel wireless modules. In general, a lot of people seem to have problems with the 5100AGN, seems to be a troublesome product altogether.

Performance of the real world of the 5100AGN on a Linksys WRT54G is around 15 Mbps (1, 8 MB/s). My other computer laptop, equipped with a 4965AGN will be double that in the same circumstances. Tried all the drivers I could find, but the above values are the best I can get.

  • Satellite A100-028 - How to replace the mini-PCI WiFi card?

    Hello

I want to replace the Intel with a Module Atheros wireless card.
Unfortunately on the background there is no cover for the mini PCI Slot.
Where he is? I guess that they are under the top cover or under the keyboard.
Should I a short "How To" in this way:
Which screws I release that covers and so on are to be released.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Galdor,

It of not simple to change the W - Lan card.
The card ist under the keyboard and under the top cover.
You have to disassemble the entire and when you do that you lose your warranty.
I think it's the best for you to contakt a service point for this work.

  • Startup gets "Network cable unplugged" on mini-PCI Wireless card

I recently installed a Netgear DG834GT wireless router and now have intermittent problems connecting my Tecra 9100. If the 9100 has been off for awhile (like overnight), when I restart I get always "Network cable unplugged" for the wireless connection. Reboot several times (anything from 3 upwards) I finally get connected to the router and everything then works fine for hours. Even a quick restart at this point (that is, once that the wireless adapter is connected) does not cause a problem, but as soon as I leave the stop of the machine during a time he fails again on restart.

There are no errors in the event log.

I am using wireless mini-PCI cards and have already updated to the latest version of the driver.

Any ideas gratefully received, for now every morning is a 20 to 30 minutes of rebooting frustration trying to get my connection work.

    (Running Win2K professional)

    Hello

As far as I know, the unplugged network cable message just for LAN (Local Area connection-LAN) and not wireless.

If you want to check this map to disable LAN in Device Manager. After starting the laptop turn on the wireless card, check the status using the FN + F8 key combination. Wi - Fi is activated after a short time, you should be able to use your wireless network.

You can enable the option Show icon in notification area when connected. You can find it in the properties of wireless under the general tab.

    Hello:

Unfortunately, your laptop doesn't support any Intel WLAN cards:

Here is the link to the service manual for your PC: see Chapter 3, page 18 2 supported wireless cards.

With your card currently installed, you have the option of the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n WiFi 1 x 1 and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR adapter (BT3.0 + HS ready) HP part # 600370-001.
