Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN with Inspiron 1525 problems
I have Inspiron 1525 + 8.1 Windows + Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (Intel last driver for Windows 8). If I set the off mode N card wifi, wifi is more slow (54 Mbit/s), but stable. If I turn N (enable) mode, wifi is fast 144 Mbps, but becomes unstable - often (few minutes) disconnects, the disconnection of the card shows a lack of drivers, you cannot reconnect to the router, you must restart your computer. Another computer - Dell Studio with pre-installed map 5100 is stable under the N on my home network. Dell officially submitted the 4965AGN card is compatible for Inspiron 1525. Is it possible for stable operation in N mode?
I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a solution to your connection problem. Thanks for posting back.

Drivers updated to the latest version: 184.108.40.206

- FAT Channel intolerant with disabilities
- Mixed mode Protection CTS automatically
- Vagrant aggression 3. Medium
- Transmit power 5. Highest
- 6 wireless mode. 802.11a/b/g
Steps in trying to solve this problem:
- The option "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is also disabled.
- I have the power options set to High Performance.
- I installed inSSIDer and I'm the only broadcast network on the 5 GHz bandwitdth (so there is absolutely no interference whatsoever)
- I spent between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and the same thing happens. See below
My laptop to find < 50 meters from my wireless router (no walls between the two) and I connected on 5 GHz bandwidth. I get random disconnects all along the day make a red X on the network icon in my taskbar. The only way to correct 'temporary', it's completely restart my computer.
On the other hand, my mother's laptop is in the other room, also connected to the 5 GHz range, ran into problems of ZERO at all.
What could be the problem?
If anyone else knows this problem, are the only two (solutions)
- "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option checked
OR (if this does not work)
- 802.11n mode Disable
802.11n mode for Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN for operating system Windows 7 and 8 is buggy. Which causes intermittent wireless disconnection.
I have a Satellite P100-429 with a 3965abg to intel, I have a few router purchased months ago Netgear wnr834b n project, then think, it is high time, I upgraded my internal adapter.
I wanted to know if the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN adapter would fit that is a right with the 3965 swap, as it says it's connection is Mini PCIe card * and I have no idea if it would fit?
Yes, she should go, because the W-LAN-mini-card slot is a PCI-Express, so you'll just have to swap the cards. But be careful with the antenna connections, if you bend them too so they break very quickly and then there is NO WAY back and you will pay for the exchange of
the whole cover, where are the antennas of screen.
Best is to contact a local service partner if they exchanged, you don t therefore the risk for the guarantee void if you do something 'not very good' on your machine. :)
I hope someone can help me here. My laptop keeps giving up the connection to a modem within 20 seconds after the connection. I run XP Professional, my ISP is sky and I have a Netgear modem provided by Sky.
I have another machine running Vista (an Acer Aspire 5670) here and I'm having no problem with stay connected on this computer.
I am able to stay connected on any wireless network, except on my own modem. (I recently traveled and was able to connect in hotels, airports and conference centre without losing the connection once!)
I recently moved and the problem existed at the old House and now in the new House too. Initially we thought it would be more aggressive radio trying to get a signal strong (er), abandoning the connection looking for another, but it only happens with this modem. There are approximately 11 other networks in range. I changed the radio signal to all channels, nothing did.
Sky said it is not the modem and they can't send a new one because clearly there is no problem that the other laptop is connected correctly. I am at my wits end here because I couldn't stay connected wireless to the House since I have this laptop (almost 3 months now) HELP!
PS, Connection to the LAN is no problem through the same modem, it's just the wireless connection connects and then abandoned.

You have a few options in my opinion please try these steps can help you solve your problem.
(1) unplug the battery adaptor & then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.
(2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.
(3) try to do a system restore to the date where unit was working fine.
(4) Please update the Bios driver & wireless from the HP website.
(5) click on start search type Recovery Manager, and then click on it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver and select request recovery driver wireless and install it and then restart the device.
(6) If you are comfortable with reinstalling the wireless card that will be on the rear panel of your device you can try this steps as well.
If you still have the same question so you must call HP tech support and get the replacement of the part.
I recently lost network connection using the-built in Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN. Stupidly, it happened while I was still under a contract of Service, but because of the holidays, I turned it off and the contract expired in mid-December. I have a Studio 17/1745, I disconnected the internal WI - fi card and use an N of D-Link USB and I now have a WI - fi connection. Should I buy a new internal WiFi card and if so than that.
Places to look to see if your connection is activated
What program anti-virus and firewall are you using? I see virus program lead to problems of connections.
Hi allI have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525, I can not solve... so please help me!My Windows Vista Home Edition crashed while installing an update and now could not start more (I always get this bad blue screen during startup), so I would like to repair my laptop using the Dell factory image.I'm doing... .with related problems1. I press F8 during startup, but there is no entry "Dell factory image restore" or something like that (I even tried each one entry but nothing factory imagine restoration).2. by starting with a Ubuntu live cd, I can see that there is a partition that contains (among other files and folders) that image (
:\dell\image\factory.wim) and a Tools folder where there are files imagex.exe and pcrestore.exe3 one... Using a pen drive usb bootable containing a bootable back version, I Prime the system. I also put in the usb pen, ntfspro.exe in order to read the ntfs partitionb. I went in D:\Tools and run this command:> PCRestore.exe --> but I received an error message indicating that this program cannot be run in dos modec. so I tried this other person (I've read here in the Forum):> imagex/apply c:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\ --> but I got the same error as above, it is impossible to run this program in dos mode4. in addition (and I think it's weird), I tried to boot with the dvd operating system shipped by Dell with the laptop: loading at startup of Windows, but just after the progress bar (green) appears at the bottom of the screen, it blocks showing again this bad blue screen! Now I don't know what I can do!.. .Please help me!Is there a way to restore the laptop with the Dell factory image?Thank youOrlando
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
When you press F8 and the menu, choose the option which reads 'Repair your computer' and follow the menu to restore the system.
This utility formats the partition of hard drive to the operating system before you restore the original image. This means data on that partition is deleted and cannot be retrieved.
If you create a second partition with a third-party utility, Dell Factory Image Restore remains unchanged until the partition of the image is not deleted.
I have here a new ISA 570w with the latest firmware (1.2.17).
Anyway, I can't get wifi to work in mode WPA2 Enterprise with RADIUS authentication.
Mode WPA2 PSK are not a problem.
I have configured the BEAM properly and I can connect directly to him via NTRadPing without any problem. Also the test in the web interface works without any problem (see Figure 2, 3).
The RADIUS server is a server Synology RADIUS on a Synology NAS, which is a FreeRADIUS server under the hood.
In the settings of the ISA wireless, I put this RADIUS server for authentication (see screenshot 1, 4).
However, I can not connect to connect to the network:
On the iPhone (iOS 6.1.3) I get a prompt for a user name and password, but when I click on connect, it says 'connect to 'cisco3'... ". "and stays there.
In ISA 570w newspaper, he said:
MSG = add MAC station in the list of the ATU. VID = 5; MAC = 5 C: 59:48:02:78:3E;
MSG = Wireless mode is a 802.11 mixed b_g_n
When I cancel the connection attempt, he said:
MSG = the Client has dissociated;
On my Thinkpad with Windows 7 Professional I have everything configured as usual (see screenshots 5,6,7,8) but when I try to connect I do not get a command prompt where I wonder username and password, and finally the connection cannot be established (see Figure 9). Also tried with the same configuration on an another Windows 7 Pro installed costs for laptop with the same problem.
I can't see any attempt of 570w ISA to authenticate anything in the logs of the RADIUS.
Also the capture of network traffic on the LAN to the Synology NAS port does not show the RADIUS datagrams.
I already disabled COP because I read that it can cause problems, but it did not help.
Can you please suggest something else I can try?
Thanks in advance!
I saw these screenshots, but that screen settings just select the button set up next to the authentication method in the section user authentication, under users. In each of your screenshots, the RADIUS server identification number is 1, so I would also ensure that I configured the server ID RADIUS 1 that can be configured by going to users-> RADIUS servers.
All that said, I have seen that your tests have passed and I also do not understand the point of having the RADIUS settings on other screens and then to have info ID RADIUS. My thought is that you'd be able to pre-set RADIUS users of-> screen RADIUS servers and then select the RADIUS server ID in all other screens without having to enter the RADIUS news over and over again. He also thinks that you could ignore the users-> screen RADIUS server and enter RADIUS information over and over again and it should work... as you set up initially. However, based on the past experience of programming errors, I recommend configuring the ID from RADIUS server 1 under user-> RADIUS servers if you have not already... just in case where.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and am unable to reach the Windows desktop. Embedded is Windows Vista, I tried almost all the options through the start screen Safe (F8). I resorted to Easy Recovery Essentials for Windows SystemDiscs.com download - allowed me to access the drive, but not to fix it. I also tried Windows Defender Offline tool nothing helps.
In things now, the laptop boots up to the point where 'another user' login screen is displayed, and no password on Earth will allow you. In addition, no matter how many times F8 is hit, the splash screen does not appear.
I have managed to copy all personal information off the drive, but I am not prepared to accept that the only solution is to buy a new hard drive. What about windows
platform? What I have to buy a new copy of the said so? Why not just take the loophole to buy a new laptop? Is there anyone here willing to put their knowledge and experience to the table? Sorry to her grumpy - any help would be greatly appreciated. Just an honest effort to try is all I ask. Thank you very much in advance.
OK, let's take it step by step. First, you must determine if the disc material is good or faulty. To do this, start on your drivers and utilities Dell disk and run the Dell diagnostics.
To test your hard drive using your Dell Drivers and Utilities disc:1. Reboot your system. When you see the Dell logo, hit F12 to enter the boot menu.2. Insert the Dell Drivers and Utilities disc in your CD/DVD drive.3. Pick the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.4. You will be prompted to hit any key to continue booting from the CD/DVD drive.5. You will be prompted to hit 1 to run the Dell diagnostics. You may see two such menus.6. Select Test System.7. Select Custom Test.7. Use the arrow keys or mouse to select your hard drive.9. Click Run Tests.10. Write down any error messages.
Second, if you need a replacement. Your Inspiron 1525 requires a laptop SATA hard drive. They are fairly easy to find at any electronics store or online.
Third, you the disks to reinstall Windows from Dell. You DO NOT need to buy a new copy. Your license provided with the laptop (it is on the bottom). Since you are outside the United States, you must call Dell customer service to order. They'll send you a Vista reinstall drive, as well as a drivers disk.
I have Windows Vista, Office 2007, and when I download the update recommended above makes my Internet become very reliable. Some Web pages is not affected, but some will not work. There is no obvious reason why this is the case for all advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
You tell us where you found the recommended update.
FYI for Windows updates:
Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.
You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.
But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.
You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:
'Remove an update'
When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again
"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"
Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:
"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;
Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.
Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.
But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system
See you soon.
I bought Toshiba Satellite L500-128 and have already 300N Sitecom Wireless Router
The new laptop has a wireless lan card with the 802-11 Draft-N support
I don't know the speed of my new laptop buth is continue about 48 / 54 Mbps
I have a second computer with a supported 802-11 Draft-N Wireless card and works very well with speed more than 136Mbps
I tried several things to change in the configuration of the card wireless buth without any results.
Does anyone have an idea? How to solve this problem?
Check if the wireless network adapter using the Draft N standard.
You can choose this in Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card
As far as I know that the WLan card is Intel 5100AGN.
Check if an update of the WLan driver would also help
I have the modem title in my laptop that I inherited from my sister. I got home and it does not connect. I ran a diagnostic and it says that there is a problem with the driver. I did the update and represented the diagnosis. Same thing is happening. I went to Device Manager and not the diagnosis, and he says: I use the highest driver so far and that the modem is working properly.
Help! A diagnosis says it does not work, it says it does. What should I do here? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community!
What is the exact error you receive when you try to connect?
You can uninstall and reinstall the drivers and check.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
You can also contact the manufacturer for the latest drivers.
I wonder if anyone can comment on a subject that I have with a (a) wireless on my home network devices. The problem is that a Dell laptop knows slow or no internet connectivity using wireless at all. Sometimes 1-2 minutes to load one page, other times the message 'not able to display the Web page' dreaded. That's using Ethernet. I have another laptop (brand/model exact even) and it has no problem. I also have a Macbook Pro and other IOS from Apple (iPod/iPad) devices which are very good. Several connected Ethernet devices are very good as well. The laptop in question had no problem with my previoius Linksys devices, which are a BEFSR41/WAP55AG and a WRT-54GS v2. This laptop was the first day or two on the EA4500, but something happened that causes this problem. I had to add the WAP55AG on my network so my son is happy again, but my plan was to dismantle the other devices. Suggestions regarding what I can do to fix this are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tired who, but it did not work. I then called Dell and they found that the wireless adapter on battery power has been set to maximum power saving. Changed for maximum Performance and it's been very well. Fortunately there is nothing wrong with the router. Thanks again for the suggestion.
I want to use the NETGEAR PTV 1000 wireless display device. The hammer on the Net says I should be able to use it if I change the operating system to Windows 7. I see that I need http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031059.htm Intel Wireless Display to use.
The Intel Wireless WifI Link 5100 wireless on the Satellite U400-157 is. Seems that it is not one that is required to run the PTV 1000? So an operating system for Win 7 can not allow me to use the PTV 1000?
Found a similar thread about the use of the Intel Wireless Display
I have a HDX18t, running Vista.
I have two things on course, that can be linked to another.
First of all is a problem with the wireless assistant. The wireless on the keyboard area light is always red/orange. It will not change to blue when you press. Wireless Assistant does NOT open when I tell him. Now, I had this problem in the past and was able to remedy somehow after research on the internet. After much searching this time, I can't understand what I did or where I found the solution.
Now, here's the other thing that happens. When I run the Diagnostics Windows network, one of the messages is "NIC"Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN"experiencing driver or hardware related issues.» It is a new motherboard, which I really hope has nothing to do with it. I hope that the Wireless Assistant holds the key...
It won't let me connect to internet to even try to fix or something. I know that everything is fine with my wireless network, because I have another laptop which works very well with the wireless netowork.
Well, we discovered that 'someone' has put the WLAN module in the spot of TV tuner! We changed it and now the blue light comes on, and we are able to get online! Thanks a lot for your help! I'm sorry, we didn't know about this before, but you said that it must be related material! You were right!
