• Anyone know of any compatibility issues with Windows 8 and RV series routers?

  I have a small network with a laptop computer, Windows 8, Windows XP desktop computer and a network MyBookLiveDuo storage device. I have sharing enabled between these devices. Everything worked well on a network switch. I replaced the switch with the RV110W VPN Firewall Router to add better security to my network before I have expand it. Since then, I have a laptop Windows 8 intermittent connectivity while the connectivity of the XP desktop computer shows no problem.

  On the laptop Windows 8 I ran network troubleshooting, and he complained that two devices on the network are (NAT) network address translation and the symptoms he describes is what I see. Problem is that I don't have a network Analyzer to look at the network in more depth.   NAT must not play unless your applications on the internet. The "port Internet" or "WAN port" is a NAT port that converts your public IP address from ISP to your LAN subnet addresses. NAT allows multiple computers on a network to use 1 public IP address.

  If your devices are connected to the Ether "LAN ports" they are not affected by NAT unless they are Web applications. 4 'LAN ports"are 2 layer switch ports. This means that all local requests are forwarded by the switch ports.

• Compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes

  I downloaded iTunes 9 on my Tobisha laptop Satellite last night and put about 2.5 GB of music on it. I didn't upload the music from the internet. I used MP3s, I had for a few years.

  When I went to boot up the laptop this morning the loading process took some time, but it never loaded to the login screen. I just see the bottom of MicroSoft. Is there a compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes? Maybe I put too much music on my laptop?

  Boot in safe mode and delete iTunes and all the music I downloaded would solve the problem? Or it is less simple than that?

  Don't know where to direct this question if any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

  Hey I just got a new 'game' PC with all the good things like i7 processor nvidia GTS 250 graphics card. So I guessed I would setup games.   I think that if you had a problem with Windows Installer, then you would have also had a problem installing the games themselves.  If after installing just the game, you are able to start the game, then you will need to determine if you really need the patches you install.  If they fix game issues and do not add any content, then you may not even need of patches.  If it turns out that you do not have the patches and they are self extracting\installing files and then save them to your desktop and then right click and select run as administrator and see if that helps.  You can also check with Activision support , because this can be a problem they know. • Problems with Windows Update after uninstalling SP2 (Vista Home Premium)

  Two days ago, I tried to install SP2 through my Windows Update. During the installation and then restart, it stopped on step 3 (0%), ignored and open Windows normally. But, I realized that I had totally lost Aero (I didn't even have the option in the window color and appearance), and also Windows Update constantly gave me the message that I always important updates - SP2 has not installed correctly (I rebooted the computer several times to try to resolve this problem, but everything remained the same: stop on step 3) ", running Windows, and once again the message that I've updated important). I searched in various forums, but could not solve the problem, so I decided to uninstall SP2 via Control Panel. But it doesn't let me do that - whenever I clicked on the button uninstall, it says that the installation is not finished yet. So, I went into safe mode and tried the system restore and it worked (Control Panel uninstall option does not in Mode safe either), and everything is back to SP1. I tried everything I could find in the forums (the thing with automated updates service does not because I don't have this option in Services), but nothing works. If anyone has any advice whatsoever, I would be really grateful for that, because I don't know what to do.

  For safety, I use NOD32 anti virus, Tall Emu Online Armor and ThreatFire.

• Big problem with Windows XP, IE8

  I have a big problem with windows xp. Many things do not work as they had passed him. For example the personal setting are not recalled from session to session.   It sounds like you have a corrupted for your user to administrator user profile.

  You may be able to recover using System Restore to restore to a point in time before your problem.  Based on the F8 key, you bring in a command prompt window, try to start restoring the system to the command prompt by using the following procedure:

  In the thread above, I was following the post on 30 August.  According to Option A, I completed step 5 for the uninstallation of McAfee Security.  At this time, my network card has stopped working.  On the recommendation of the officer, I posted to the Malwarebytes forum.  The officer determined Malwarebytes that I don't have a malicious software.  I ended up posting on forum McAfee to get my network card works again.  Then I reinstalled McAfee and start to run Windows Update.
