• Interactive report Question (sort of)

  This has probably been concave, but I have not found how to ask the question to find the answer, so I apologize in advance.

  Running APEX 4.2.3 I need do the following:

  I need to be able to send an email to all registrants in a filtered interactive report, with one of the interactive report fields e-mail address.  So I imagine something like this:

  1 run an interactive report and it returns 1000 rows.

  2. I filter the report so that the subset resulting contains 30 rows.

  3. I click on a button that says Compose Message

  4. a box perhaps (a modal window?) to allow the body of the message type.

  5. click a button to send a Message

  6 to run a PL/SQL procedure cycles to each line of the EIS filtered to get the email address.  (This IS THE PART that I KNOW not HOW to DO it)

  7. use the same PL/SQL procedure from step 6 to send the e-mail message.

  I understand how do anything but striking since the interactive report filtered e-mail addresses.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Now look at the process... You need build the e-mail process, but the query NOW respect filtering done on the report.  I added a function to your workspace that you want to download where you want to develop this...

  This function determines the ACTIVE query for the report, binds with the values bind variables and returns the query, where I add a selection to the e-mail address to select it and build an array of values to loop through...

• Question about calculating GOSI

  Hello guys, looking through the quick formula for the GOSI element SA_GOSI_CALCULATION, I see that he takes the gosi_base of a balance "GOSI-reference salary. Now, I understand that this value must come from the (Basic + house rent allowance) unless a reference salary is defined.
  My question is, am I supposed to create my own version of this formula to say something like this:
  
  IF GOSI_REFERENCE_EARNINGS_ASG_YTD = 0 then
  (
  gosi_base BASIC + ACCOMMODATION = / * get these values * /.
  )
  on the other
  (
  gosi_base = GOSI_REFERENCE_EARNINGS_ASG_YTD

  Or maybe I'm supposed to add the basic allowance and the housing allowance that flows for balance "GOSI reference salary"?

  The best approach is to write the code for the form 'GOSI_FEED_FORMULA '. This formula must return a "GOSI_REFERENCE" variable, which will be used programmatically seeded to calculate GOSI on the exact amount. Your calculation may look as follows:

  GOSI_REFERENCE = L_Emp_Salary + l_Housing_Value

• Strange question Essbase - calculation doesnot return good result in MaxL

  All veterans of Essbase, need your help for this strange issue.
  
  We run Essbase on UNIX and we have an OSI application where a daily batch process works for aggregate database of real-world scenario and Budget. Strange things, it's the night aggregation process is not correctly aggregate data, as we see variance between stored and shared hierarchies. But if we manually execute the same aggregation through the service console Regional, aggregation gives good results with zero gap between stored and shared hierarchies.
  
  In the script of aggregation we clear senior level blocks (with UPDATECALC on OFF), and then use CALC dim on the accounts and the entity to aggregate the results.
  
  This question has been very strange to my little experience the same calc behaves differently when called in MaxL.
  
  Any suggestion useful to nail, they are welcome.

  If the dimension is marked as the size of accounts and and you have two pass members that are not dynamic calc, running the default calc will do the calculation in a single pass. Otherwise if they are stored members, then you must make a twopass calc. If you have twopass in another dimension the dimension of accounts, it must be dynamic or or it will not calculate in two passes

• Question about calculating

  A user of the previous forum help out me by giving me this code:

  This allows me to calculate a rental date based on the start date and length lease. It works like a dream. My question is once I have chosen the term of the lease and the lease start I have to manually click the Term_End_Date to have it fill properly. I have this code in the section "exit." Is anyway to have the field auto fill once a user choose a start date, essentially eliminating the need for a user to click on the field of Term_End_Date?

  You can place it on the event of changing the start date field. Who will fill the enddate if you selected a start date. Now if they decide to change the lease period after the start date has been selected the calculation won't... East - this acceptable?

• HP question first calculator spreadsheet App on data entry

  On my current spreadsheet that I work on (and in fact, this question would apply to these 2 cards I have to do as well)... I have my column A implemented as labels and my column B put in place as input. So A1 tells me what type of input B1 is expected, and A2 tells me what type of entry B2 is pregnant and so on.

  When I enter data in B1 and press ENTER, instead of going to B2, happening to cell C1. So I have to press the arrow and arrow to the left to reach the cell B2. And this gene continues for B2, B3, B4, B5 and so on. Is it possible to set an option so that when I integrate the data in B1 and press ENTER, it will go to B2 and B3 and so on?

  Unrelated to the above, but another question concerning the application of the worksheet. Is there a way to set the FILL color of the cell based on an IFTE()? By default, I want the FILL color to be WHITE (by default). But, in this case particularly, IF the cell B4 has a value greater than B1, I want to change the FILL color for, perhaps, red to warn me that values have been placed "backwards".

  Regarding your first question, use the menu 5 button (which allows to switch between GO↓ and GO→) to select the direction in which you want to go.

  On the first HP Calculator spreadsheet application, is it possible to use the logic = IF() as you can with a typical spreadsheet? All I want to do is simply check if a cell is a 1 or 2, then convert them accordingly. Simply if 1, add these two cells, if NOT, add a different set of cells.

  Yes, it is quite possible. The command you need is XAVIER.

• Script Question of calculation tables.

  Hello, I'm not sure that it is still possible, but is it possible to have a table from indesign Calculate column B and column C for example.  Here's how its implementation.

  JOB #	#up	NECESSARY	TOTAL
  JOB1	5	500	* formula to multiply the B2 - and C2.*
  JOB2	3	250	* formula to multiply B3 - and C3.*

  and so on until 14 rows.

  I looked in the Indesign forum and didn't see where it was available in the program itself.  SO I hope theres a way to do this in a script.  I'm having 14 rows if all what matters.

• Question of calculation Script

  Good afternoon

  I'm trying to get a form to do a bunch of different calculations. Included in the image, I will reference only the items Property A. A customer hit their "monthly income" and the "annual income" in the appropriate fields, with "advertising, Auto and travel, cleaning and maintenance, etc. ' field ' Total annual expenditure ' must calculate the sum of all entered costs (I need a script for this). Then, the scope of the "NET REVENUE" (read only) should subtract (read-only) ' Total annual expenditure ' entry 'annual income '. My problem is that fields that display calculated values, display "$0.00" when it is empty. So I used this script to hide them until something was entered in the "NET INCOME" field:

  For some reason, it not calculate correctly. Don't know why, as I've never really programmed before.

  In addition to this, when I get home "expenses", rather than get the sum, it is literally brings together the numbers. For example, if I have $1.00 in the field 'Auto and travel' and $25.00 in the field "Cleaning and maintenance", the total should be $26,00, except it shows as $125.00 in the field 'Total annual expenditures. Here is the script I used:

  I'll ask again, because the answer is important: you confirmed that the field calculation order is correct?

  Where it is unclear what I mean by that, you set the order of computation of field in Acrobat 11 ranging in forms editing mode (Tools > forms > change), and then selecting: tasks > other tasks > set field calculation order

  You must order the fields according to what makes sense. For example the Net Revenue field should be last, and the Total annual expenditure should be second to last.

• Interactive pdf question, text will not be displayed during playback of the slidewshow

  I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how I can add text high file mp4 am and do work when exported as an interactive pdf. For some reason any the mb4 plays very well, but the text will not appear. It looks like it will work fine when I look at the windon preview swf in indesign. I can add text has to a page with a picture im in the back and works very well. But do not know why the text will not appear up if its a mp4 file instead. someone at - it suggestions?

  Interactives to go above the static elements. You can try to convert the text to a button, but I don't know if it will work in a PDF document.

  Send a report as an e-mail requires an SMTP server. You must configure your instance settings to point to the SMTP server.

  Im trying to create my own cusotm btn in indesign and when I open the library and try to drag the drop, or choose its greyed out.

  When I try to drag - move I get this symbol in black and I see also that the library Panel has a white lock with 52, can I unlock or do something?

• Acrobat/PDF interactive forms are a unique technology, correct?

  I was talking to a potential customer and they mentioned they have a system that:

  (1) accept scanned forms and places them on the screen in a WYSIWYG mode.

  (2) gives the user the ability to interact (fill, have spreadsheet calculations, etc.) with such forms.

  My doubt was triggered when the person told me that his system does NOT rely on Acrobat or PDF. They could not give me more details.

  I guess it's the PDF fan in me, but I have worked under the assumption that a system such as that described above does not exist, period. There may be a few mini - me technology roughly trying to imitate the monumental work that Adobe did.

  I guess that my task is to find what technologies approach distance of Acrobat Forms.

• Problem KB2550581 FCB might also other types of non-response (including a few "calculation... ("freezes). Check and ideas to fix?

  I was debugging delays depot system move/delete/rename on my PC and LAN and came across some curious info, I saw not elsewhere reported anywhere that suggests

  1. the hotfix in KB2550581 is not his comprehensive work;  and
  2. at least some aspects of the question of 'Calculation' notorious and other excessive production of Win7 system breaks that have not been resolved so far, perhaps because of problems of KB2550581

  I get exactly the same on multiple computers, Sony laptop to a visitor, a file of Intel Server, Asus desktop computer and a few others, with a different hardware, drivers, network and config PC, Windows installers, history, use and maintenance, and even when non-essential services etc were disabled and without worrying about any registry tweaks history , the results below are 100% compatible between any of them.

  Reproduction ('works for me')

  1. Pure install Win7 both x 64 SP1 up to date PCs on a modern good quality material.
  2. Run any basic settings that you would usually use to prevent the normal question "calculating...". ».  There are many pages on this, they cover LargeCache, LANMan settings, icon of the caches, thumbnails... a range of possible corrections suggested in these forums.  Use everything that seems sane to eliminate the causes of 'normal '.
  3. Use msconfig and ShellExView to disable all the but the most critical services, shell and startups to run extensions. In testing, I have disabled about 60% of the entries not only 3rd party Microsoft.
  4. Link them via a 'transparent' good connection which does not add unnecessary complications (simple Gb Lan/Cat6 used here).
  5. Create a file share to R/W on a single machine ("B") by "sharing advances" ("simple networking" and "homegroups" disabled). I shared the root of a partition of test data. Use a different machine ("A") to perform actions of system files on this share.
  6. On computer A, in Windows Explorer, by using the context menu "New->" in Windows Explorer, verify that creating files and text files etc. on the machine B file sharing are almost instant, as is the removal.
  7. Now repeat, but instead of New-> folder or New-> text file, click New-> shortcut. For me it was unlike any other New-> action, there was a blockage or a gel to explore for 35 seconds, and then the action began as normal ("place of the entry shortcut') as if nothing unusual had happened.
  8. Repeat this process as much as you want, time delay in the second.  For me the timing was precise, reproducible and this telling, was the same every time and between any pair, A-> B, B-> C, A-> C and same D-> E, all different hw, installers, drivers, config and use, suggesting it is coherent and not down to the a machine problems. This exactly matches the description in KB2550581: -.
     (a) network shares on Win7 SP1 (title says Win7 but text says "or SP1")
     b mapped drive
     c activity of the file LAN via Windows Explorer which includes the files of navigation and querying "extended attributes" - I don't know what is an 'expanded' attribute, but I'm sure a shortcut may be what it takes as a text file or folder may not for this purpose, so it would fit the description and comments
  
  (d) a precise and accurate 35 freeze second where "explore unresponsive" exactly like the KB said.
• Check - anyone can reproduce what I found, that this second 35 late is considered, but it does not resolve the hotfix in KB2550581?  To me this suggests that the fix is on the right track, but something is missing.
• During this time, Windows Explorer running on the remote computer displays the contents of the folder shared Exchange in this way: originally an item of "New shortcut" is created.  In the second 35 gel, a temporary file with the name of the form "new Shortcut.lnk ~ RFxxxxx.TMP" can be seen and disappears (deleted) at the same time, the second 35 freeze finishes.  Without doubt, in normal cases without freezing, he created and deleted too fast to be seen.

Interim thoughts

1. Probably, KB2550581 is not completely resolved the problem it addresses.  Creating shortcuts is always subject to a delay of 35 seconds in what appears to be almost identical circumstances than described KB, which is likely to be the same cause that the fix is trying to fix.  Deletion of the shortcut has also the second 35 exact same freeze exactly as described in the KB, too. If the fix is not completely fixing the issues of the KB.
2. The notorious explorer.exe "Calculation."... "question where actions such as the file rename/move/delete seem to lock up or freeze for a long time, then suddenly run or prompt"as planned"can have several causes, but KB2550581 is likely to be one of them and
3. I didn't know the question KB2550581 or behaviour directly related to the issue of "Computing"... "on these pages so maybe it's known or perhaps new knowledge.  That's why issues KB2550581 could therefore be a less well known cause of some reports by users who have tried everything and still no irreparable problems with the behaviour of 'calculation. "... "unresponsive Windows Explorer in some situations.  A fix improvement could help here too.

It again for someone else, or affect other types of activity files and suggestions for plausible workaround solutions?

  I have to add 60 days to a date and then roll forward to the first day of the following month.  Date format is dd/mm/yyyy.  Original date field is "Hire Date".

  There was a lot of similar questions on calculation of future dates. You searched these items?

  First of all, it must convert the date string in the JavaScript date object. Add then 60 days for the date object. Set the 1st of the month. Finally, add 1 month for the month of the date object and format the output for display.

  Script possible custom logic for the anniversary date is:

  get the rental date string;

  var cHireDate = this.getField("Hire_Date").value;

  Converts a date in the date object string;

  Kai var = util.scand ("mm/dd/yyyy", cHireDate);

  Add 60 days;

  oDate.setDate (oDate.getDate () + 60);

  the value date oject first of the month.

  oDate.setDate (1);

  Add a month;

  oDate.setMonth (oDate.getMonth () + 1);

  format the result;

  Event.Value = util.printd ("mm/dd/yyyyy', letter);

  Note the format of the date field is 'None '.
