Interactive report with filter Date

Hi out there,.

I've created an interactive report that contains a date column. Default filtering options only work very well. But my users need to filter the data contained in the report, for example if a line contains 21.06.2000 they want to see the value in this column to date filter list and not the default predefined (five years, last day and so on).

I already tried to specify the date string and made a select... wanted my users to_char (date_column, 'dd.mm.yyyy') who beat the sorting, but gave me the filter options. Specifying the date as yyyy.mm.dd is not an option for my users.

Is it possible to get a filter that displays the 'real' data and maintains the right sort order?

Best regards and thank you
Markus

Replace with a greater - than sign and which functions as expected maceyah.

Make sure that the screen - with respect to the column is 'delete the HTML code... '. ».

Kind regards
Malcolm.

  • link to the interactive report with filter

    I tried to put in place a link to an interactive report in passing along a filter setting using the method described in the user guide. I've tried everything I can think of to make it work, but the report always ends by displaying as unfiltered. I don't get any errors, I don't see any filtering. I tried to directly modify the URL and adding the filter data (that is, add IREQ_ParentSeqID:2 to the URL) and I also tried to pass the filter data by creating a branch from another page and have the branch collar data. In both cases, I was unable to make it work. When I create the filter directly in the report, it works fine. Here is a sample
    URL: / f? p123:1302:3440331697632217:no:IREQ_ParentSeqD:2

    The URL takes me to the correct page but no filtering occurs. Here is the definition of the column in the interactive report:
    Column name: ParentSeqID
    Column type: NUMBER

    I'm under APEX version 3.2.0.00.27

    Dale,
    What happens if you remove the EQUALIZATION of the setting? Theoretically, it shouldn't matter, but I always send my equals as just IR_COLUMN and it works fine.

    You can try f? p = 123:1302:1023072115021841:NO:IR_ParentSeqID:25

    and see if that makes a difference? Just a shot in the water.

    If this does not work, try to delete the alias for the moment and sending the column full name and see if that makes a difference. I wonder if its because your alias is in a specific case (per the "")

  • Interactive report with Null columns

    I have a user who wants to export an interactive report, and there need to some columns will appear on export so that he can fill the data later (there is an intermediate step, while we work on getting all the data they need in the database). I created the report query, and there are a handful of columns null or empty (to keep the correct order for export). When I try to add this query to the APEX, in an interactive report, I get an "ORA-00001: unique constraint (APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS_UK2) violated" error.

    Googling autour shows me that this happens because of the columns the same name, and the solution is to provide aliases for all columns. My report has alias on all columns, but I can't yet create an interactive report. I tried to change the columns null of empty strings, as well as encompassing the alias in double - quotes, but nothing works. However, I can use my original query to create a standard report, but due to export, this is not ideal.

    I was able to create the interactive report with a null and then edited the source column of the report to add to the others. This had to be done one at a time, given that you are trying to add several null columns at the same time gives the same error even once. Unfortunately, when I try and you run the page, I get a ' ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined "error.

    My original query:
    select customer.customer_name as customer,
           project.name as project_name,
           trunc(project.estimated_end_dt) as due_date,
           project_status.project_status_desc as status,
           null as revenue,
           project.baseline_effort as baseline_hours,
           null as projected_cost,
           null as est_gain_loss,
           project.actual_hours as actual_hours,
           project.estimated_hours as projected_hours,
           null as projected_cost,
           null as projected_gain_loss,
           null as roi
        from project,
             customer
      where customer.customer_id = project.customer_id
      and project.inactive_ind = 0
      and project.customer_id is not null
      and project.estimated_end_dt >= :DTP_P50_STARTDT
      and project.estimated_end_dt <= :DTP_P50_ENDDT
    order by customer.customer_name,
             project.estimated_end_dt;
    Can someone tell me a way to create an interactive report with multiple null columns?

    Hi shimmoril,

    The problem is probably that you have two columns aliased as 'projected_cost' (columns 7 and 11).

    Hope this helps,
    John

  • Interactive report returns misleading data because of the limit ROWNUM

    Hi, we have relied on the internal decision-making interactive reports widespread in our society, and they have been very popular. However, a user has found an inconsistency of data when sorting to a report because the ROWNUM limit: APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT is applied before the user requested the ORDER BY clause. We run Apex version 3.2.0.00.27 on a 10.2.0.4 database.

    Request quotes from our application IR returns citing custom and the number of lines by default is 100 (and is editable by the user). The user wants to see the most recent citations, so he chose the column heading "Date of creation" and simply applied a descending filter. The last quote returned was dated last week. However, if he has applied an additional filter of "date of creation last week", he sees today date and for most of the current quotation lines.

    When I ran on its IR application debugging, I see that the ROWNUM limit is applied first, followed in ORDER BY. This means that the database retrieves the x first lines that match the provided parameters and then orders the result set. However, this isn't what the user meant, he wanted the first lines of an ordered set.

    This is the result of the query to debug (deleted community because it is long):
    select
           "QUOTE_NUMBER",
           "CUSTOMER",
           "CUST_CONTACT",
           "QUOTE_STATUS",
           "TOTAL_PRICE",
           "TOTAL_WEIGHT",
           "WHSE",
           "SHIP_DATE",
           "PO_NUMBER",
           "ORACLE_REFERENCE",
           "INSIDE_SALESREP",
           "OUTSIDE_SALESREP",
           "CREATION_DATE",
           "ID",
           "ORA_CUST_ID",
           "CUST_CONTACT_ID",
           count(*) over () as apxws_row_cnt
     from (
    select  *  from (
    SELECT
      kh.id,
      kh.ora_cust_id,

      k2_customers_pkg.get_cust_name(kh.ora_cust_id)customer,
      k2_customers_pkg.get_cust_number(ora_cust_id)

     ( ......... more sql goes here )

    AND k2_customers_pkg.get_outside_salesrep_number(kh.ora_site_id)||'%' LIKE :P64_OUTSIDE_SALES||'%'
    AND kh.whse_code like :P64_WAREHOUSES||'%'
    AND ((1=
        CASE WHEN :P64_ITEM_ID IS NULL THEN
            1
        ELSE
            (SELECT 1
               FROM k2_quote_lines kl
               JOIN k2_ingredients ki
                 ON ki.quote_line_id=kl.id
              WHERE (1=1
                AND kh.id=kl.quote_id
                AND ki.ora_item_id=:P64_ITEM_ID AND ROWNUM=1))
        END)
        OR 1=(
            SELECT 1 FROM k2_quote_lines kl WHERE kl.quote_id=kh.id AND kl.part_id=:P64_ITEM_ID AND ROWNUM=1
        ))
    )  r
    ) r where rownum <= to_number(:APXWS_MAX_ROW_CNT)
     order by "CREATION_DATE" DESC,"QUOTE_NUMBER" DESC
    However, what the user must have the ORDER BY applied first, then the limit. I realize performance can be affected, but users are now alarmed that they cannot trust these reports. I'm tempted to connect a SR with Oracle on it.

    Any ideas on that? What is this problem fixed in 4.0?

    Thank you, Moritz Wolf

    Hi Wolf,

    I don't think that the problem is with the number of rows displayed. I think that it is a function of the attribute of the ratio "number of lines". And as assistance at the level of the elements of this attribute indicates "defines the maximum number of rows in the query. Note that this attribute impact on performance. Get fewer lines can improve performance and get thousands of lines can adversely affect performance. »

    You can set the maximum number of rows to an artificially high - greater number that we'll never be your total number of lines. But this does not alter the fact that the ORDER BY still apply on the outer part of your query.

  • Interactive report with the hierarchy

    Hello

    In Apex Oracle 5.1, I tried to use an interactive report to view details of employee based on a hierarchy. I used the query to display data below:

  • Generate report with a date picker. Help, please

    Hello

    I'm building an interactive report which should display the records corresponding to the date picker.

    I'm going to pull a report emp_name and LOAD_DT.  LOAD_DT is a date column from table1.

    Select "emp_name," LOAD_DT from table1

    where LOAD_DT =: P44_PICK_A_DATE;

    I chose article page to submit P44_PICK_A_DATE

    When I choose a date, he gives no error data

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    KJ

    Bind variable in the APEX will behave as strings. I normally apply TO_DATE(:P1_MY_DATE) without the date format and rely on application session formats / align.

    In your case, it would be more efficient to

    where load_date = to_date(:P44_PICK_A_DATE)

    unless you do something specific with date formats, then you would be just details the to_date

    Keep in mind, this also applies to the numbers, it would be more explicit

    where id = to_number(:P1_ID)

    Which is related to why there is a function v() and nv().

  • Interactive report with display of the icon to set the page element

    Hi all

    I am currently using Apex 4.2.4, I have an interactive report using icons, each icon has a link to another page but a few I want to set a value in a page hidden in the same page element which is then used as a variable for a classic report.

    I have this work via link href in the icon as f? p ='|| FA.page |': 1 :'|| : app_session |': P10_ID_ITEM :'|| FA.link_name without error.

    My problem is that I wanted to put the value of the element without using a link href that I could handle the clicked icon to change the background color so that the user can have a Visual representation, where it was clicked, then using the value of the page item appears the classic report in another region with a partial refresh.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Can you provide a detailed explanation of the purpose of this report and the logic used in the report query? What are the rules to control which icons appear in the IR, what icons link to the second report on the page of IR, and icons to link to separate pages?

    For me, the report query seems too complicated and inefficient by returning the data it does, and if another level of data is added to the hierarchy or more data is added to the second level, it fails with:

    ORA-01427: einreihig subquery returns multiple rows

    I'm guessing that the intent is that the IR displays only the icons at the top level of the hierarchy and icons for posting a link to a different page when they have no descendants, or to display the related lines in the secondary report below the IR when they do. I created a new page with the report query modified to a route of tree and keep the upper level lines. It is much more effective than the original query and simplifies the logic necessary for the verification of end-nodes. Instead of generating a URL link (which violates the separation of concerns), the query returns of the discrete values that can be used to implement the HTML link in the Icon View link Custom property:

    with icon_tree as (
          select
              ic.id_icon
            , ic.icon_name
            , ic.link_name
            , nullif(connect_by_isleaf, 1) is_parent
            , level depth
          from
              icons ic
                connect by
                    prior ic.link_name = ic.id_parent
                start with
                    ic.id_parent is null)
    select
        id_icon
      , icon_name
      , link_name
      , apex_util.get_blob_file_src('P10_ICON_IMAGE', id_icon) img_src
      , nvl2(is_parent, '586', link_name) target
      , nvl2(is_parent, 'P586_ID_PARENT', null) parent_item
      , nvl2(is_parent, link_name, null) parent_id
      , :app_id app_id
      , :app_session app_session
      , :debug debug
    from
        icon_tree
    where
        depth = 1

    In the interactive report, Use Custom Icon Link is set to Yes, and the custom link is:

    #ICON_NAME#

    Public static ID icons and results are applied to the IR and the regions second report respectively for use as selectors in action dynamics and CSS. The protected value property for the page P586_ID_PARENT element must be set to No for the value can be defined by a dynamic action.

    Dynamic action with several real actions is needed to bind alternatives click behavior to the links on the icons that have descendants (i.e. where the data-parent-id attribute has a value):

    Event: Click

    Selection type: jQuery Selector

    jQuery Selector:.apexir_WORKSHEET_ICONS a:not([data-parent-id=""])

    Real Actions

    Seq: 10

    Action: Delete the class

    Class:selected

    Selection type: jQuery Selector

    jQuery Selector:.apexir_WORKSHEET_ICONS a

    Seq: 20

    Action: Add the class

    Class:selected

    Selection type: trigger element

    Seq: 30

    Action: Set value

    Wait for result: Yes

    Type of value: Expression of JavaScript

    JavaScript expression:$(this.triggeringElement).attr('data-parent-id')

    Selection type: Agenda

    Point: P586_ID_PARENT

    Seq: 40

    Action: Discount

    Selection type: Region

    Region: results

    Seq:50

    Action: Show

    Selection type: Region

    Region: results

    Seq: 60

    Action: Cancel event

    Finally, add a style sheet to the Inline CSS property page. Initially, this hides the secondary report and select the parent clicked icon:

    #results {
      display: none;
    }
    #icons .apexir_WORKSHEET_ICONS a {
      border: 1px solid transparent;
      border-radius: 3px;
      padding: 0.8em 0 0.5em;
    }
      #icons .apexir_WORKSHEET_ICONS a.selected {
        border-color: #6a9cda;
        background-color: #bbd1ec;
        transition: 0.6s;
      }

    However, after all it is the question of why you use an interactive report here if you turned off all the features of the IR? A dynamic list with a custom template box seems to be more applicable?

  • Call the procedure to set the context before interactive report refreshes the data

    Hi guys,.

    I have a question mind an interactive report which takes the data in a view.

    The problem is that whenever I take the data from the database I need to define a context (user name and password) before running the query so the view will be taken into account the context and return only the lines that I have access.

    Everything works fine when I'm first loading of the page: I have first to define the context, then load all the data I need on the page, including the IR. But when I try to apply IR filters, or even don't go to the next page no data is returned. I believe this happens because the context is not defined before the execution of the query to load the data and I don't seem to find a way to put it.

    I tried to add a dynamic action on some events on IR (change, clicking, etc.) that executes the procedure to set the context, but without success - even if the event is raised, the report still doesn't return any data.

    Can someone help me with this issue please?

  • (Interactive report) IR filter does not work, how to debug?

    APEX 4.2.2.00.11

    Firefox 24.5

    I have a complex page, which includes an interactive report.

    For the most part works fine, with the exception of the following:

    Under Actions menu - click Filter results only Firefox show the circle 'Treatment demand' (ajax - loader.gif), that it will never show the details of the filter.

    The action of this button

    JavaScript:gReport.dialog2 ('SHOW_FILTER');

    This page has the same result.

    Some other Actions such as "Select columns" properly.

    Other Actions as "Emphasize" also does not work.

    Other pages with IR work fine with Firefox.

    Given the complexity of the page, I prefer is not to simply rebuild the page from scratch.

    The problematic page works fine in Internet Explorer and Chrome.

    How do I troubleshoot / debug this?

    (Most of the people in our office have no Chrome, so telling them to use Chrome is not an option.)

    Internet Explorer is way slower and has a few other problems).

    I found that a small piece of Javascript on my page there was an error.

    Not directly visible in Firefox, but Internet Explorer gave a message "error on page".

    This javascript was supposed to set a focus on the page, but could not find this object.

    Nothing to do with Action in the IR, but apparently no error on the causes of pages which IR filters do not work anymore...

  • Interactive report uncheck filter when you add the new filter

    Y at - it all possibliity to uncheck all filters that are already defined in an interactive report when you create a new filter?

    My first approach by adding a dynamic action that is bound to the search field:

    key_down = event
    jQuery Selector = #apexir_SEARCH
    scope = live event

    The Action contains:
    $('input:checkbox').attr ("checked", false);

    At present, there are 2 problems:
    1. when the user presses 'go' or 'enter' the check box is checked again when the result is displayed
    2. If a filter is defined when the search box is not used, it does not work

    Hi Oliver,.

    too many problems I think. You can try to hack any POST message, analyze it, and if it's p_widget_action = FILTER stop action and interfere with an AJAX to APEX_UTIL call. IR_FILTER or IR_RESET. After the AJAX request was returnd (synchronous), you can start again the original MESSAGE that defines the new filter.

    Hmm. sounds to me like you'd better ask the customer if he is willing to pay for this kind of convenience.

  • Sort the results of interactive report in no data found message

    Hello

    I have an interactive report that returns results based on the: bind variable QUERY - I have a list of navigation on the side where all the elements to link to the current page with different values of request. The IR works fine until I try to sort the columns by clicking on the heading and selecting increasing / decreasing, how it returns no data available.

    It starts to work again if I change the last line of GOLD: REQUEST IS NOT NULL but this breaks the functionality of the report, I would like to return only selected articles or all if no query variable is present. I'm guessing that sort sets: ASK something temporarily and divides. My query is below, any ideas?
    SELECT   id,
             job_number,
             appt_start,
             domain,
             pwa,
             status,
             tstamp_created
      FROM   fail_jobs
      WHERE  (status = 'NEW' AND userid_created != 'SYSTEM' AND :REQUEST = 'ARD')
         OR  (status = 'ATR' AND :REQUEST = 'ATR')
         OR  (status IN ('ERR','REV') AND :REQUEST = 'REV')
         OR  (status = 'COM' AND :REQUEST = 'COM')
         OR  (status IN ('PCD','PCA') AND :REQUEST = 'PCD')
         OR  :REQUEST IS NULL
    Thank you

    There are problems with interactive reports referencing known: DEMAND value, probably due to an internal logic that manages also simultaneously - potentially cause a malfunction or blockages.

    A workaround that I learned is to create a calculation to assign: APPLICATION to a temporary element (a PXX_REQUEST, for example) and reference it in the query, instead of: ASK. This has worked well for me in my experience.

    I would like to know if this helps - pls sign the thread as 'Useful' or 'Correct' if so, so more people can benefit.

    I have an interactive report that lists the contents of a table. Since there are a lot of columns in this table I would like the report to only show that some identifier columns and all of the currently selected folder is displayed using another report in a separate area on the same page.

    The 'link' on the interactive report column is almost that, except that he jumps on another page; I would just like to have a subreport, updated with the data that is selected instead of a new page is displayed. Does anyone know how to do?

    Thanks for your help,
    Chris

    Chris,

    This looks like what I usually do in my referential data.

    I use the wizard to create the "report."

    I make sure that the two regions (the form and report) will be created on the same page number

    so I check/change the order of regions (second report in the first place, form)

    then I put in the form to display in the column 2

    Kind regards
    Richard

    P.S., the report shows only enough columns to recognize records. the screen displays all records

  • Link to the interactive report with comma

    Hello

    Anyone know how to create a link that will go to an interactive report and add a filter when the filter value contains a comma?

    The URL I have looks like this...
    f? p = & APP_ID.:40: & APP_SESSION.:CIR:IREQ_Name:Guy, some:

    The problem is considers the value past the comma is for another article. I tried %2C with no luck.

    Kind regards
    Dan

    With javaScript, you need to escape the backslashes. Put two slashes return each place that you are currently using one.

  • Problem when creating a report with a date of schduled

    When I tried to create a report with a schedule (any option except now) I get the error 'Date of the first report occur must be after or equal to the current date", unless I have use a date of 01-10-2012 or later in the first report occurs on the field.  Current date is 2012-08-23.

    Let me know if you can recreate it and if or when there is a fix.

    Hi Tim,.

    We have fixed the problem now. Could you please check that you are able to schedule a report now with start date of today?

    Thank you
