  • PersistentObject and problem SendListener

I recorded a SendListener in order to intercept outgoing e-mail. When my manager is called I want to access my application stored in PersistentObject settings to determine what I should do in my manager of sendMessage.

The problem is that I can't access any information contained in my application. I suspect that it is because my manager sendMessage runs in the context of the mail application.

Should which design I follow to access my store persistent since a manager like this?

    Thank you

    John.

I must admit, I have not really tested recently myself, but as far as I know, you should be able to access your persistent objects - assuming that you are running by using your own code and persistent objects classes, the framework should not matter.

Can you describe the problem when you try to access the information?  If your objects seem to be "null" then I guess you use static references.  static variables are specific to a context, then your listener will see different static variables for your application.

The reason why I've not tested this recently is that the normal practice for Auditors is change in context of your Application, and the usual approach is via a GlobalEvent

  • Interception of notifications of calendar/SMS/Mail etc?

I know how to add my own opinion to the profiles via NotificationsManager.registerSource, but is it possible to intercept these notifications from other programs (those you define in Blackberry profiles)? I'd be more interested in notifications triggered by the calendar application ("Calendar" and "Tasks" in profiles).

I don't want to modify or cancel the initial notification. I just want to know he died at recorded.

I thought to implement and register a NotificationsEngineListener could give me this information, but I tried and didn't get anything, so I probably misunderstood this API?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Pflüger

For calendar events you can use the PIMlistener, you will receive notification in itemUpdated().

  • At random intervals, sometimes twice a day, sometimes twice a week, I get a popup when searching mail saying my certificate is out of date. What is going on?

I'm currently not a screenshot of the "popup" that says 1) my 'certificate' is obsolete and 2) click on 'ok' to make a permanent exception. There is a warning on the popup that is unusual. It happens both when I check mail or try to send it. BUT it does not happen all the time. I was not able to detect a pattern to his accident. I have multiple accounts on my Thunderbird, with different ISPS and I think that's happening for them all.

As you can see in your second accessory, the cert for your server POP of Gmail was published by Bitdefender. It is not the original cert of Google.
Thunderbird does not know about the certificates issued by Bitdefender and therefore give you the warning. It is unfortunate that most people don't seem to have any idea what certificates are all about.
At the end of the day, this means that BitDefender is intercepting your connection to the Google server. They can see your Google password and your plaintext authentication token. It is not something I want.
    Your options are:

    1. accept that Bitdefender is interceptung your secure connection and install the cert of Bitdefender in Thunderbird as a certification authority
    2. ban of Bitdefender to analyze messages inbound and outbound on SSL/TLS, secure connections

For more details contact the Bitdefender support.

  • My email is being intercepted

For a few years, people have told me that a former employee was using my picture and name on his work through reagan.com email account.  She and I tried everything I could to remove my name and picture to be associated with his account, but we never found where my info was being pulled. She said she closed the account, but never did and then walked away and I lost track of him.

Yesterday, I was forwarded an email from it to a mutual friend. My former employee had responded to an email that was sent to me, and only me. When I checked the path to address, of course, my mail for Mac was the only recipient. But she has certainly received and answered, not noticing that it was not addressed to him in the first place!

On top of all that, in the last month, I had to deal with online identity theft and fraudulent transactions (for example, the opening of new lines of credit in MY name!) which are centered in the region, to what it is supposed to be re-located.  It could all be related, so I need to do some research. Is there a way to know if it intercepts emails all along?  She would get all my bank statements online, my credit monitoring reports, etc.  How can I determine if my email has been compromised?

Change the password on your e-mail account to something that is much more secure.

  • The vulnerability is the CC and the fields of e-mail when sending group messages?

I have a friend who is a challenge to me when I advised her to use the BCC field instead of the CC field to send group messages.
I've been in there for years and this was one of the fundamental pieces of advice that we would give users on our network to prevent the spread of the virus and spam and to be perfectly honest, I thought it was a given since e-mail is sent in plaintext and therefore can be analyzed.  The question I have, are vulnerable to what Email address when it is used in the CC field or virus and malware seeks to steal addresses?  Also to throw away spammers as well.

    Thank you, sugi2k.

    Hi sugi2k,

With assistance from the ICC is also how to send group messages, but I do it mainly for individual members of the group do not get to see all addresses of electronic mail to any person to whom I sent the message.  As far as I know, there is no almost difference between using the field or the CC field to send emails (although IAB a little better to hide the address, but it can still be found if you are the recipient or the sender of this JIU).  In general, this isn't how the malware and hackers work.  That's all simply too cumbersome and time-consuming to do by checking the addresses in the individual emails (if it is possible and very difficult to defend against if they can intercept the mail-, but generally found from the account of the recipient and not the sending account and generally because that most people choose to automatically add new senders of e-mail to their list of contacts and this is where the vulnerability usually occurs).

Here is an article on the differences between the BCC and CC: http://email.about.com/od/emailnetiquette/a/cc_and_bcc.htm.  You will notice that it addresses of anonymity than the main on safety (but there are benefits of security regarding anonymity and the inabiility of other recipients to view the BCC recipients).

Most malware and piracy occurs because someone comes to your contact list or address book or see everything simply your email address somewhere (maybe of you sent to someone who has been infected or a real pirate) and uses different techniques to make it look like SPAM and other things they send is from you when you're not actually send anything.  If they arrived at your list of book or contact addresses or someone that you are listed as a contact (probably using another method - I don't think these fields themselves are more susceptible to malware or hacking than anything else on your computer - if they have installed the keystroker malicious software or programs (everything that you type can be made available to them, unless detect you and remove malware or hacking tool), they can send to each of them (probably with an attempt to infect their systems included as well).

In short, while they are not invulnerable, they are as safe as anything else (although IAB will limit the number of people who see the addresses of any group that can help their share where you don't know if they have been compromised) on your system.  The real problem with the e-mails is not sending them, but to receive for having "a surprise" with her that compromise your system and allows a person access to your contacts or address book - but they will not often also for entries in the messages sent and if they do, then the entries to one of these fields on your computer If it has been compromised is possible (not only e-mails but documents and about anything).

If you are concerned that these things, use a program to encrypt messages and require recipients to have a decryption code to open.  It can still be broken by a pirate, but is much more difficult and requires a much more sophisticated hacker.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • My address book has been hacked and my contacts receive e-mail messages. How can I stop this?

Copied spam my address book so that I wasn't using email

I use Windows XP and Outlook Express 6.  Recently, while I was on the Net, but not by e-mail, spam has been received and sent himself to a lot of people in my address book under my own name and e-mail address.  He led "this kit changed my life", and it seems to research at various forums of discussion it has been around for several months, always with various English misspelled and poorly punctuated texts with without capital letters and a hyperlink to sites with names of different people.  I changed my e-mail address and password in a day, but my contacts has often received several versions of spam in the coming days.  My computer has been professionally checked and has no infection, and I thought that I was sufficiently protected by AVG Internet Security 2012 and my ISP (BT).  I hope that my new email address is more difficult to discover by chance, but is it possible that I can avoid this kind of thing does not happen?  For the moment, I completely emptied my address book and print on screenprints, which is a nuisance, but at least there is nothing to hack.  It is obvious that the text was spam when I opened then Outlook Express, because there were several notices referring to obsolete addresses NDR spam itself, I have the above would be deleted immediately if I had known, he had come, because it was so obvious, being on a scheme to get rich quickly and terrible English and sender's name was a pretty ridiculous (which I forgot in my haste of) delete spam).
