Interfacing arduino PCI in labview

Hello community OR.  If someone had the opportunity or requirements to interface an Arduino programmable card in one of your LabView test processes?    We explore this option because we need to 'control' the voltage of a DC power supply that illuminates our LED light panels.  This will allow us to progammatically set the intensity of the light instead of manually.   Thank you all for your comments.

Yes, I do. The term PCI was my mistake.  Cards programmable Arduino has apparently been integrated into LabView.  I discovered this research via google and looked at the material NOR earlier this afternoon.

Given that, I appreciate your quick response.  I'm going to close this message and let everyone know that responded to our request.

  • How the pressure transducer Validyne system-> Validyne CD280-Dual-> SCB - 68-> PCI-6024E-> LABVIEW works and how we can calibrate the pressure sensor?

    Hello

    I am completely new to LABVIEW software.

    I learn a LABVIEW code existing my pressure (attached) acquisition system which has the path of data as follows: pressure transducer Validyne--> Validyne CD280 - Dual--> SCB - 68--> PCI - 6024E--> LABVIEW and I have a few question:

    1. How does the complete system of the transducer to the LABVIEW work? That is, if we apply the pressure of the transducer, it will change the resistance of the probe then...?

    2. How can I find the equation that expresses the relationship between the pressure and the tension to the keys of the Validyne double-CD280 in the LABVIEW?

    3. If I want to do the probe calibration, what are steps?

  • How to interface ADAM 4060 in Labview 7.0?

    I had difficulties in interfacing ADAM 4060 with Labview 7.0. I tested the device by using the utility software of Advantech ADAM and it works properly. So, its not the hardware error or failure.

    However, when I want the interface using Labview, I couldn't make it work. LabVIEW does not communicate with ADAM-4060. I try to use user libraries > Advantech DA & A > Advanve > SlowDIO > DioWritePortDword.vi, DioWritePortWord.vi, and also library standard srandard, COMWrite.vi

    Hi a - kay,

    Where did you find this instrument driver? I'm not on IDnet. What is the manufacturer? They may have more documentation?

    In the other thread, you will notice that it is simply a communication series. You may be able to write your own driver quite easily.

  • How to read the Serial Arduino data using labview VISA?

    Hi =). Im a beginner work reading data series from an arduino but im facing... Lets do it step by step

    I built a voltage divider circuit which gives from output
    from 0 to 5V. The output of this circuit is sent to a 0 analog input pin
    of a Committee of Arduino Duemilanove.

    (1) Firstly, I connected the cable to connect to my laptop USB the Arduino.

    (2) I went to start-> control
    Control Panel-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager. Check the Ports (COM
    & LPT). In my laptop I can see USB Serial Port (COM4). Now I know only in
    LabVIEW that I must read the data series COM 4.

    (3) to the side of the arduino, here's the code to read changes in voltage
    entered to analog pin 0. The last line of 'delay' determines the sampling
    Rate of how we want to taste the output of the voltage divider:

    int potPin = 0;    Select the input pin for the output of the voltage divider
    int val = 0;       variable to store the value from the probe

    void setup()
    {
    Serial.begin(9600) (9600);    Opens the serial port, establishes the rate of 9600 bps data
    }

    void loop() {}
    Val = analogRead (potPin); read the value of the voltage divider
    Serial.println (Val);
    Delay (10);
    }

    I slightly modified the basis series reading writing VI... I have
    attached the block schema used with comments. Basically, I tried to read
    data series, divide by 1023 and multiply by 5 to graphic voltage
    variations of the voltage divider circuit.  But Im not getting
    the correct voltage output values. The value of the tension just keeps go
    0 and coming again, as shown in the photo.

    Could you guys please guide me on what went wrong?

    Thank you!

    -you read the data, even if there is no data on the port. If 0 bytes are read => «»

    -in the case of false, you resources VISA wired for the output of channel tunnel?

    -There is no close VISA at the end of the VI resources

    -you're not a loop this VI reading bytes

    I added an addaption of your VI that you should give a try maybe

  • Interfacing Ensenso SDK using labview

    I am trying to Ensenso SDK interface using labview. The company provides a .net dll, however, all available functions are not accessible from labview. They also said that labview is not yet officially support for interface with the Ensenso SDK. But C, C++ are officially supported. Now my question is, is it possible to write code c or c++ to control the Ensenso SDK and then access the C or C++ works using labview? If so can you help me how can I do? Thank you very much for your support.

    With sincere friendships.

    Sewyew

    If you can not get the .NET DLL to work with LabVIEW (for example the use of the call library function node), you could create a C/C++ DLL wrapper that allows you to access the functions you need. I don't know too much about the details, but it is certainly possible.

  • How to implement interfaces or inheritance in LabVIEW?

    Hi all

    I try to implement oriented OBJECT in my LabVIEW code and require heritage or just an interface (such as might be required in java).  I have a good knowledge of OOP is just how do me in LabVIEW, I'm curious.

    I'll try to stick with my own example for now, so that someone is able to tell me exactly how to implement this.

    in any case, I have two different DMM and each come with their own GPIB commands to get the measures and set the measurement configurations.  This seems to be a perfect example to learn how to use inheritance.  I figured out how to make a class for each DMM but was curious as to how I might be able to create a parent class for each of them because they both require the same fields in their configuration (AC/DC, Measurment Type, rank, address VISA).  I think that I could create a parent class with these fields, then the methods of use of these fields and have then child classes inherit fields and override the methods of the parent class so that depending on what the user selected DMM, it would be able to use the correct class to issue the right GPIB commands.

    If anyone can point me to a good example or explain how this could be implemented in labview that would be super.  I'm also browsing the forums LVOOP to LavaG trying to figure this out, thanks!

    Brent,

    LabVIEW help contains a lot of detailed information on the use of classes.  I recommend reading through it, before we begin with OOP in LabVIEW.  In the content of the Help window tab, search for "Fundamentals > LabVIEW Object - Oriented Programming > How - to's»  There is an article entitled 'change the legacy of a LabVIEW class' that should be what you're looking for.

  • labVIEW Arduino interface

    Hey,.

    I've interfaced arduino and labVIEW 2012. I run the LIFA_Base file in the window of the arduino and then close it and run my program in labVIEW. whenever I have stop the labVIEW program and the next time I run the program in labVIEW, that it's not until I reupload the LIFA firmware. So, what is the solution such that I did not download the LIFA firmware every time.

    Good quick response.

    Rich.

    Rich,

    I think your code is good enough to read the data in series.

    Please check the attached sketch (which is the same as what you have downloaded to the arduino) also I join the LabVIEW VI to read data series.

    Please make sure that the COM port that you use for arduino should be the same for LabVIEW.

    Also close to the arduino.exe (the software through which you have downloaded the sketch.

    Then, run the supplied LabVIEW VI.

    Better use of the arduino with LabVIEW, you can find step by step here information

  • Why can't the PCI 6040E under devices and Interfaces

    Hello!

    I intend to use a PCI 6040 E connected to a BNC 2010 to measure 3 different voltages as an entry. I installed the mx of NOR-DAQ 9.7.5 on windows 7 (64-bit). My question is why I can't see my devices under the "devices and Interfaces? even by Labview, DAQ assistant, acquire the signal, anaolge of entry... I can't configure the devices of this error: no supported devices found.

    Any idea? Thank you

    You're going the wrong way.  The latest version of DAQmx that supports PCI-6040 is 9.5.1.  See this article for more information: OR-DAQmx and NOR-DAQ Driver Support: PCI/PXI devices.  And LabVIEW 2011 is the latest version of LabVIEW that supports DAQmx 9.5.1.

  • The Web of LabVIEW user interface directly to the sensor with Ethernet connection

    Hello

    Is it possible to connect to the interface user Web of LabVIEW directly to a sensor with Ethernet connection?

    By directly, I mean without using any Web Service LabVIEW VI.

    Thank you

    Marcelo

    Hello

    The only communication with other devices using the Web user interface designer is through web services, either motorized or not LabVIEW. To connect with a sensor with the generator of the user Web interface without using LabVIEW, the sensing device must be accessible via HTTP and give you a way to read its data using XML web services based on.

  • Arduino Uno + Labview 8.5

    Hello

    I am trying to send commands to the Arduino Uno using Labview 8.5. Tried setting basic series writing and Read.vi the baud rate 9600 and rest of the default parameter, selected the correct COM port and wrote the command

    i5000\r\n

    This command is to rotate a plate of rotation using a motor, 5 degrees. There is no response.

    I can run this command by using NOR-MAX and the Arduino terminal and the motor move.

    Could someone please tell me what am I doing wrong? I had done my own vi using VISA initially, but it didn't work so I tried the example of OR. Is the example for a reason any not applicable to my case?

    There is no error but the motor does not move.

    Thank you very much..

  • LabVIEW - Arduino TCP/IP, connecting multiple Clients

    Hello

    I'm working on a connection TCP/IP between an Arduino shield WIFI control with several sensors and a LabVIEW program. You use a router, I set up a wireless network without internet that allows me to transmit the readings from the sensor of the MCU and send commands to control LabVIEW program. Currently, the Arduino is the server with the program LabVIEW connects to it as a customer and I would like the opportunity to add other clients such as a smartphone application at the same time. I am not able to connect several clients for my server Arduino based and wonder if and how this would be possible if the server was created on my computer using LabVIEW instead.

    I searched for help on the Arduino forums (http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=268578) and comments ranged from "Arduino can support multiple clients" to "Arduino can support multiple clients but it is full of errors. While it would be easier to achieve my goals by having the server on the MCU, as much data would be sent directly to each poll, the client I plan to switch to a server on computer using LabVIEW. My question is whether it would be possible to have multiple clients access to my new server, and if so, how it would be difficult to relay data from the sensor? The old plant requires the same data string for each client connected to my server. The new configuration appears as it would take the server to treat customers differently; Send commands to the MCU customer and data of the sensor of the MCU customer to everyone. Another layer of complexity is that I would need to relay controls of other clients in the same way, as the phone app smart sends a stop test command, to the Arduino via the LabVIEW program.

    Would be very grateful of entry to the community.

    Best,

    Yusif Nurizade

    You can create a server in LabVIEW that accepts connections from several clients. There are examples of different approaches to this in examples of shipment of LabVIEW and on this forum. As for the challenge of sorting where to send the data and how to transmit orders, it is-there is nothing that would make whether easier or harder in LabVIEW that in any other environment.

  • Using interface controls Teststand user to load a file of sequence into Labview

    Hello community,

    32-bit Teststand 2014

    32-bit Labview 2015

    I'm trying to make changes to the provided Simple Interface for Teststand in Labview called first level VI.vi.

    I don't want to search for a sequence file by using the open movie file.

    I want to be able to load a movie file selected by the user as a string or a path.

    So, if the value of the string changes, I want an event handle to update the file of the sequence to use.

    An example of how I want my project to work...

    User runs the VI program.

    The user selects which file to load sequence and is displayed as a string.

    Once selected, the string value has been changed causing an event handle.

    Handle event inserts the new movie file of string as the new open movie file.

    I came across a few examples, but none was exactly what I'm looking for.

    They preloaded during execution of the program, the movie file or used a button native to call the sequence open file button that brings up the file browser.

    Any help or examples on how to go about doing this or leading me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated please.

    Thank you

    It should be as simple determine you how you want to manage your list of channels in sequence, then creating a new event in the case of "Manage events" on the evolution of the value of your channel. The NewVal is passed into a method of 'OpenSequenceFile' of Application Manager.

    As suggested, use http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052J-01/tsuiref/reftopics/applicationmgr_opensequencefile... method with filepath as a parameter.
