Intermittent network connection fall

Original title: Internet access

Once in a while (maybe once in 10 days) when I connect my desktop PC, running Vista Premium, I can't access the Internet through any browser: IE, Safari, Chrome.

If I open a cmd prompt I can ping sites ok.

That never happens on my laptop running Vista, or laptop running Windows 7.

If I reset my PC it is ok.

Instead of a reset, y at - it a program or a service, I can reboot to solve the problem.

Many thanks for any help

John

  • network connection is not available when using the photos on apple tv

While using Apple TV and pictures, I get a message that says don't: no available network connection.  I check other programs and they have an available network connection and all is well.  This happens intermittently, but once it happens, you will need to restart the apple tv several times and I hope that solves the problem.  I use icloud photo library and I am trying to access my photos.  Is this a known issue?

This could be one of those cases where the message is just a generic "connection failed" message. So he doesn't mean what he says, just that it cannot connect to the server iCloud.

  • G530 causes intermittent network Drops for all Machines on the network

I have a new G530 (Vista Home Premium, 3 GB of RAM) that will expose the weird behavior. Whenever he is on my home network, it causes all machines on the network to lose Internet connectivity for a few seconds every 30 seconds or more. Everything on the network is fine, and then I connect the G530 - either turn on the wireless switch or connect a cable. Therefore, network connectivity is interrupted periodically.

    Here's what I know:

    • I have plugged and unplugged it for more than a week. It is this machine at the origin of the problem. I can repeat on order by commissioning wireless switch on Lenovo or plug the LAN cable.
    • The network works through a router DLink wireless/wired. The wireless part is encrypted WEP.
    • The machines on the network are a mix of Vista Premium, basic Vista, XP, Win2000 and a wireless HP printer. They all display the intermittent network problem when the Lenovo is connected.
    • Lenovo has the problem when it is connected.
    • I made repeated IPConfig / release--> / renew on all machines. At one point, I did a manual inspection and there is no duplicate IP addresses.
    • The Lenovo worked fine connected wireless to the network of the local public library.
    • A suggestion of DLink had to give the different names cable and wireless LANs. I tried. Problem persists.
    • It is not the modem; We went from LILY at the thought of this week of cable modem - thanks to some misleading advice from our DSL provider - the ADSL modem was dying. The problem is the same now with the cable modem as it was with the DSL modem.
    • I can see the problem on non-Vista machines easily because the task bar appears whenever the network connects or disconnects. (Vista has fixed this particular annoyance.) The message is that a network cable is unplugged.
    • It's the question even if the Lenovo is connected wirelessly or via Ethernet.

Any ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? To cry on shoulders? Otherwise, it is a wonderful machine, but I need a computer, not a killer network...

    Thank you

    -Steve

  • How you would solve intermittent Internet connectivity?

How you would solve intermittent Internet connectivity?

    Hello Chit mickolo,

Thanks for posting. Intermittent connectivity can occur for several reasons. First to get a better idea of your installation. Do you use the dial-up or high speed internet? You have wireless or wired connectivity, and whether this happens at a time. You have multiple computers on your network? When this happens does occur with all or a computer? What troubleshooting steps have you made so far if necessary to solve this problem?

Once again thanks for posting and I can't wait to hear back on your part.

  • I lose the internet connection randomly but never lose my wireless network connection.

I use a hp pavilion dv9500 with 64-bit vista sp2 and built in a wireless adapter that will fall randomly my internet wireless connection, but maintains my wireless network connection with an excellent signal strength.

    My (non-permanent) fixed
I know how to reconnect to the internet, but it forces me to diagnose a repair my connection. It then displays "cannot connect to Server primary dns (75.75.75.75)"after which it gives "things to try" who never work and a button 'Reset the ip address' that I click. " repair bar will fill up to half way and go to a new screen solution that shows more 'solutions' and a "reset wireless adapter" button which I click. the remedy bar will fill and then display windows can not solve the problem and go for help. I then manually disconnect from the wireless network and my computer will automatically reconnect to the network and to the internet. It takes about five minutes to fix, but it happens so often that it is getting boring. The process will not work if I only to reset the ip address and then disconnect from the network, only to reset the wireless adapter and then disconnect, or just disconnect from the network and reconnect. I have to reset the ip address and the wireless adapter and then disconnect from the network.

The internet connection will tend to disconnect when I watch a lot of youtube videos, when I download large files like a game on steam, or just just randomly when I use it. I'll use it for a long time and he can't let it go, but sometimes it will go down to ten minutes after I had just reconnected in a drop-down list. It happens randomly without another warning that download time will increase from 2 mb to 50 k in two seconds all about or stop the loading of a youtube video when I look at it.
I searched everywhere for an answer, but it's as if it were a new problem for all humanity or just im the only person who does not know how to solve this problem, because there are no forums or FAQ not related to my problem. It is not so much a serious problem such as an irritating problem that appears at inconvenient times or when I just want to relax and watch a video. It takes some time to reconnect and even though I know how it would be better if my connection would just stay connected to the internet at any time.
I have no idea what the problem could be that whenever I have find I never get related problems. all advice or solution would be great.
I also share this modem with other three commonly used computers: a wired office and two other laptops that the two are connected wirelessly. both other laptops do not have the same problem as mine. My router is a linksys e3000 wireless router.

  • Vista's intermittent wireless connectivity

I recently bought a laptop Sony Vaio with Vista. I have Norton 360 installed. My modem is Netgear PK5000. The connectivity of the laptop to wireless technology is intermittent. Hello

Check with the Sony Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask questions in the Sony Forums on well-known
questions. Check also with NetGear support (are you sure it's a Netgear modem? PK5000 sounds like a
Actiontec?). Also check with the help of the internet service provider.

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

  • intermittent internet connection of HP pavilion x 2

    Hello

I bought a x 2 Pavilion 11.6 "2 in 1 15 days ago and I am constantly thrown out of my internet to explore link (says I have no internet connection) despite the internet access the bars showing the complete connection. My ISP is Virgin.  My old PC that runs windows 7 and new HP daughter divided x 2 13 '' who is running windows 8.1 that connect well to the router at my house and my new links pavillion x 2 fine for the interntet via wifi at home and work without any problem.

I tried to re-creation of my router several times and this solved the problem for about a minute at best.  We bought two laptops through Curry but they refuse to come to the House to make a configuration despite offering to pay for the service and they say that there is no fault woth the PC because it works in some places.

Sometimes to investigate the question of nework arrives with a (999) network connectivity problem, sometimes he said to re - configure the router/modem - but as stated earlier, this only solves the problem for a very short time as HP performs automatice reapirs - (reset the "IntelR wireless-N 7260" adapter) which lasts about a minute.

After having spent £429 on this beautiful piece of equipment please can someone help me to get my emails and the internet?

    Following my message of origin above;

    2 in 1 is a HP Pavilion x 2 11-hoo3sa 11.6 "F4T44EA #ABU

I've updated the media tek 802.11 wireless LAN adaper pilot.  He advised to remove the previous Chuck but I did not do what was not sure where to locate it - is this possible now?  I had already updated the network wireless driver intel 7260 (who had made no difference) there are two other di network = River updates, but they do not seem to be related to my problem, so I did not download them.  I did have the chance to try the new driver but I have to go elsewhere to access the internet to communicate with you all.  If I assign a fixed address as suggested before that would mean that it does not connect when I'm anywhere else?

I'm a pretty confident user of PC - the technical stuff moved from my comfort zone, but will try to follow the instructions.

    Help, please

I had the same problem of intermittent WIFI connectivity, but only on an old router on holiday in Spain.  Everything works very well at home in the United Kingdom.  My flag is fully patched for drivers and windows 8.1.  I just couldn't connect to the router for more than one minute at best.

the difficulty is to force the WIFI card to use the old WIFI Protocol:

    Device Manager-> network adapters-> Realtek RTL8188EE 801.11b/g/n-> properties-> advanced-> Wireless WiFi adapter is IEEE 802. 11 b

probably because that HP haven written their system software successfully to detect old routers that supported the old protocols... like millions of people around the world use every day...

I want a definitive answer for this! For some reason any that never seems to have been resolved. I'm on a Samsung qx410 computer J01 laptop with windows 7. The wireless adapter is an Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6250 AGN. I've tried making it so the adapters could not be disabled for reasons and basically all of the steps for this energy saving. I did everything with the drivers and software. In the event log, it has this event where he falls TCP/IP NetBIOS support apparently without reason? I then immediately lose my connection and it never seems to happen with the rhyme or reason. Any suggestions? It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem either. Where is microsoft on this topic? It seems to be a Windows 7 problem...

    Hello

1 have had any changes made on the computer before the show?
    2. do you have a wired or wireless network connection?
    3. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the full and exact error message?

If you use try Method 1 of the Wi - Fi connection.

    Method 1:
    Disable authentication IEEE 802. 1 X.
This problem can occur if authentication enable IEEE 802. 1 X for this network checkbox is enabled. If this box is checked, but there is no server to authenticate the connection is interrupted. If you turn on the wireless network connection, it disconnects again after a short period.

To disable authentication IEEE 802. 1 X, follow these steps:
    (a) click Start, type ncpa.cpl, and then press enter.
    (b) with the right button of your wireless network connection and then click Properties.
    (c) click the wireless networks tab.
    (d) under preferred networks, click your wireless network, and then click Properties.
    (e) click on the tab authentication, click keyar authentication to enable IEEE 802. 1 X for this network check box, and then click OK twice.

    Method 2:
Try the procedure described in the link to create a new network profile.
    Create or modify network profiles
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-or-modify-network-profiles

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, you can try the procedure described in the link and check.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

    Method 4:
If the problem persists, you can try to reset the Internet Protocol.
How to reset the Protocol Internet (TCP/IP)
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Method 5:
If still the issue remains, control whether or not the service is set to automatic.

    (a) click Start and type services.msc in the search box.
    (b) search of the computer browser.
    (c) series the service to automatic.

Steps to set the auto services

    a. Locate the service (computer browser)
    b. right-click on the service
    c. If the service is stopped , then Start the service
    d. Select Properties
    e. and in the Startup type , select Automatic.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • With device log Insight network connectivity problem

We manage the virtual appliance 1.0 - beta and I noticed that the virtual appliance will fall the network periodically for a short period. I had constant pings, it will and it will just stop respond for anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. You can also see in the capture where the data is missing in the user interface of screen attached. I know that we are not the problems with our ESXi hosts or dvSwitch because there are many other virtual machines running on the same host ESXi and same VLAN and they are not network connectivity problems. Does anyone else know this?

Sounds like a network problem. Perhaps you have a dual IP / MAC address on the network? Do you perhaps have a routing problem on the network log Insight's sitting on that?

  • Sierra periodically drops network connection

I installed Sierra last night.  For the third time today, I was told that I was not connected to the internet.  The first two times I have recycled my modem and returned.  This time, before that I did, the system which I would put in sleep after that I lost the internet, woke up spontaneously and I was connected. And now, the same thing that happened to me last night also happens to know that after you put the system to sleep, in a few seconds, he wakes up immediately without doing me anything. (Which had itself set last night, but now it is again).  No doubt these two are related?

No idea what is happening and how to solve this problem, so it doesn't continue to occur?  Thank you.

Tonight after the system into sleep, I woke it and again, for the fourth time today, I have had no network connection.  I waited a while and was connected again. So I think that there is something of how Sierra handles sleep taking offline or something similar.  I always hope that someone here can help with advice about what to do to fix this problem.  Thank you.
