  • Re: Satellite U300 hibernates when the battery is very low

    Hello

I bought my satellite U300 141 two weeks ago.
The computer is not put into hibernation when the battery is very low.

I checked the settings of vista, default 2% of the battery capacity, the laptop must Hibernate. But mine is not.
But I noticed that the battery level does not fall below 5%. I tried to change the setting of vista from 2% to 5%, but it has no effect.

Telephone toshiba support told me to update the package of the value 'stretched out' or something like that, but it has no impact too.
    the problem is still there.

    Anyone have an answer?
I also tried to update the BIOS, but during the upgrade process, the software told me that I can't because I'm not the administrator of the computer, I am sure I am.

so, if someone can help me please...

Please check first if hibernation was enabled in Vista power options.
Then you can assign to hibernation level up to 10%

Maybe then your laptop will be able to enter hibernation mode

  • HP 8440p: need to part number to replace the internal battery

Hi, I got error Code 601, stating that my storage capacity of the internal battery is very low.  I'm trying to find the correct replacement part number.  I have searched the site but don't have the confidence that I have the correct part number.  My laptop is essential for my work and I need to order a replacement as soon as POSSIBLE.  I appreciated the advice!

It is a message of error somewhat misleading because it actually refers to your main battery for portable computers, not the battery cmos. The reason it's call that an internal battery is to distinguish the extended battery that you can buy with some models that attach outside the laptop.

Your battery should have a label with P/N.

  • internal battery issue

By turning on my computer, it indicates that the internal battery (610) is low on storage. Is this something I can replace and if so where is it?

    Hello

The error ' internal battery (601) actually refers to your main battery of notebooks (not the cmos battery) - see the document at the following link.

  • Internal battery low - error 601 before Windows starts

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 (XG737UA #ABA product number and model dv6 - 3163 cl) under Windows 7 Home Premium.  I tested, tried callibrating and nothing helped.  My battery meter shows that it gets only a max of 77% support and then stops to load.

Then I turned off my laptop, unplugged the power cord from the laptop, then took the removable battery Pack, connected plug it back in and then laptop powered on with only the power cord is plugged in.  I don't have the 601 error message while booting.  Issues related to the:

    (1) this means that small piece of internal clock battery is not the problem, but rather the removable battery black, great is the question?

    (2) If Yes to the above, just replace the battery 593554-001?  I want a 6, 9 or 12 cells (I guess that the largest cell, the years more it will last)?  I found these: http://www.battdepot.com/us/search/opn/hp/593554-001.aspx

    (3) while I wait for the battery to arrive, is - it safe power the computer with the battery pack intact and functioning, or I want to only run the laptop with the battery and connected computer?  The latter will be difficult because I need to walk from one place to another with the laptop.

    Thank you!

    Hello mikechicago,.

I see that you have an error message internal battery low. I'll try to help you.

To answer, you have any questions.

    (1) is based on the fact that if the removal of the battery at the back, the error is gone, this would imply that the question is indeed with this paste and not the battery cmos.

    (2) on page 53 of the maintenance and Service guide, you will find the support of the spare laptop battery you with reference numbers. Who should answer this question.

    (3) it has not recommended to continue to use the battery. For now until you receive the replacement, it would be better to use it plugged in.

I hope that it has been able to answer all your questions.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Internal battery

    Hello everyone,
A few days ago my laptop during the phase of start-up, began showing the following message in the black screen:

    HP battery alert
The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low. For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.
    Battery (internal) (601)
    ENTER - continue starting
For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup.

I have to say that a few months ago, a warning message used for pop - up, saying that the battery (external) would lose. But, being busy I did not replace. So, right now, I'm still using my laptop with the charger plugged. This new notice of caution upset me because it refers to an "internal battey. This is another type of battery of the usual external battery?

The laptop model is HP Pavilion 1353el g6

I apologize if I don't post this topic in the right section

    @MiloBera

Just my opinion, but HP screwed up using the word INTERNAL.

Your battery MAIN/EXTERNAL must be replaced.

This error message appears when the battery life is less than 25%.

  • Error internal battery 601

I use my mini 110-3700 hp since 2011 and just today, I received this error on start up

    HP battery alert
The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low. For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.
    Battery (internal) (601)
    ENTER - continue starting

I ran a check of the battery on the hp support assistant and it said that my battery status is 'calibrate (20).

What it means? And how much is the replacement of the internal and external battery?

And also what will happen if I continue to use the laptop without having to replace the battery? Would it still work when it's plugged in?

I inserted a photo of my check of battery on advanced mode. Please can someone explain that I would really appreciate it a lot.

Batteries gradually lose their ability to support up to full capacity - as is the case with your battery now. Calibration sometimes helps.

Even if the battery does not charge the mini may work on the power adapter.

  • Is it right to keep my Aspire V3 - 575G (with internal battery) plugged when working 8-10 hours?

Hi, I'm new to the community and just recently bought an Aspire V3 - 575G, if I have owned sucks since 2009.  Is it good to keep my laptop plugged in all the time I'm in the office, amounting to about 8-10 hours a day?  The laptop has an internal battery and I'm afraid that keeping plugged in that long every day could overload and damage the battery if sooner.  My old Aspire has a removable battery and I used to consider whenever I use it over a long period, and the original battery is still good after almost 7 years.  Thanks for the ideas!

    Hi Sirbutch,

Suggestions of a lot of Angie1 are very good and have been for some time. Fortunately, there are a lot of useful updates that have taken place in the battery technology, which is one of the main reasons they are now internal as opposed to the old style of removalble, you are probably familiar.

Today, laptops are now designed to minimize the effects of wear and tear that keep the laptop plugged in could have 5 or 10 years ago. These batteries have a cycle (a term for its ability to be depleted and recharged) several thousand now, compared to a few hundred in the late 2000s. In addition, the PC has controls to prevent overload and you don't notice maybe even an indication of 'AC plugged in, does not support' when more than 90% (this varies) on the power of your laptop indicator.

Overall, in my opinion, keep your connected system can have a VERY low impact on the battery life. That said, constantly plug and unplug the device would probably be the same percentage of the impact on the overall life of the PC.

  • Internal battery (601 error)

    Hello.

    If I get this message:

    "HP battery alert."
The system has detected the following battery storage capacity is very low. For optimal performance, this battery will need to be replaced.
    Battery (internal) (601)
    ENTER - continue starting
"For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup."

and I tried to do the 'battery HP System Diagnostics Test ' while the computer is unplugged, but it keeps stop after 1 minute.

    I have a:

-Model laptop: HP Pavilion Notebook PC g6-2320dx g6

    -Product number: D1C00UA #ABA

    Where can I buy a primary/internal battery?

    What should I do?

    Hello

601 error code makes reference to laptops to your main battery (not the RTC cell on the system board) and occurs generally when the storage capacity fell below 25% of its original value.

The only solution is to replace the battery.

This is a warranty item, if your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange for a replacement to send - you can check the status of your warranty here.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L20-101 - very low sound

    Hello

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite L20-101, Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Yesterday, the sound of my laptop started to play very very low.

Drivers audio (conexant AC-link audio) seems to work fine, and I'm all set to maximum volume.
It was sudden. One moment he was working well, and the next time I start it the sound was strangely low.

I don't know if it's a hardware problem, or if she could we have resolved to restore the entire system with the recovery CD (I prefer not to do so).

    Any ideas? Any help?

    Thank you

    Hello

I think you should check the sound volume using the headphones.
If the headphones work correctly the problem might be related to internal speakers.

But to be honest it is really not easy to say what causes this problem as I said can be faulty speaker but you should also check all possible settings and perhaps a new OS reinstall would also be a good idea.

It would be useful to know if the sound issue would persist using the laptop with clean, factory setting.
