internal error of starting power

Hello I am running Vista Ultimate x 64 and when I restart my computer I get a BSOD (see photo ). I have to fight with it to get it to start up again, by either boot from the Vista DVD and do computer repair process, witch takes anywhere from 2 min to 30 min to complete and sometimes he says he cannot automatically repair or the last known good config, or sometimes both. I have not add new hardware, update device drivers or install new software this time I restarted. In fact when I do make it work it works fine, I kept it running for 40 days without problem. I'm always afraid to restart the computer ruined because of this problem. I'm the kind of guy who likes to keep my OSs to date (I do it religiously, so it kills me not to do the updates because I don't want to restart).

My config:
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x 64 (Service Pack 1)
Mobo: EVGA nForce 780i SLI
PSU: 1100 watt ABS Labs
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600)
RAM: 8 GB of Corsair PC2 6400
Video: XFX 8800GT (x 2 in SLI configuration)
Omitted hard drives (x 2)

Interesting, maybe they stuck in an ISO in its new version, my mistake. If this may or may do not apply to the problem you are experiencing, a failing hard drive will present problems on the road. Now DFT is a very simple test... and I insist on 'simple' fairly strongly. It will only resume the most basic problems.

My recommendation would be to try to start the machine until you get and immediately back up your data. Then find a replacement drive.

Hot spare! The reader is not, but 15 months... In addition to number one that I did not get any S.M.A.R.T error, and I think it's a false positive. I have another HARD disk to the witch, I can back up data on, but I just thought to just backup to re - install Windows. My question is that how it is that my computer works well when it works? If it's a default say HARD drive, why - it not crash my system during a full scan of the system (preformed every night)? I had a HDD failure before and it crashed my system while running. Also when I start on my Vista DVD and make repair system, says he can't fix automatically and in the newspaper, he said something about a driver problem (I think it's very strange because maybe I'm wrong but doesn't work for X 64 Vista drivers have digitally signed?).

I think that the Imma just reinstall Windows because I can't afford to go out and buy a new HARD drive... I make sure all my important data is backed up all the time anyway so even if the HARD drive is like the 500 GB one I have sitting in the closet and dies I don't lose a lot. I've suffered catastrophic data loss before and learned from him. :/

  • 'Internal error' when starting a machine virtual

    Hello

I'm under Fusion 6.0.2 on OS X 10.9.2.  This is a new installation of 6.0.2 on a machine which was new two weeks ago.  My VM is Windows 7 64 bit.  My VM worked before I upgraded to 10.9.2, but I don't know which is linked.  Now, when I start the VM, it quickly fails with a dialog box that indicates "internal error."

I found this thread where a few users have had the same symptoms:

Internal error when you start a virtual machine in Fusion 6 - Mavericks host

I tried a little things listed, with no luck:

You can also check $HOME/Library/Logs/VMware/and $TMPDIR/vmware-$USER for log files from the model vmware-vmx-* .log?  If there is none, would you mind to do what follows?

-Add the following line to $HOME/Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/config (please do not hesitate to change the path to something else)

    vmx.log.temporaryFileName = "/tmp/vmx-temp.log".

-Start the virtual machine.  When the error is observed, join the file specified above.

There is no files in a path.  I created the configuration file and added the line, set 777 permissions on the two directories, started the virtual machine (it failed once again) and verified: STILL no files in two places.

Thank you.  Could you do the following, and then try to switch on/off the virtual machine again?

      • Set your unlimited base file size limit: ulimit unlimited-c
      • In Fusion, go to settings-> advanced and choose ' Hang/Crash' to the way of solving problems.

Please let me know if the error message changes and if there is no base generated in /cores file.

The error message has not changed.  I had to force-shutdown my VM to change the ways of solving problems (which was not obvious how to do!).  It has not generated a /cores base file.

It's intriguing.  Let's try the virtual machine running from the command line.

      • Leave the merged UI.
      • From a terminal, run
        • sudo/Applications/VMware Fusion.app/contents/library/services.sh--debut
        • / Applications/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Library/vmware-vmx-debug - x Users/kamil/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/CentOS 64 - bit.vmwarevm / CentOS 64 - bit.vmx

That would be if all fine print some messages in the terminal that helps us diagnose the issue further.

  • Moved from VM with Snap Shots, doesn't start: cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Hello

Last week, I decided to move from a Windows host based Linux system. So I went through my VMs their power off and copied to another drive. I then installed 7 Centos and reinstalled VMWare Workstation 12 re-imported the virtual machine in VMWare and I tried to start.

    I received the following message...

"Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error.

Suspicious, I looked at the folder that contains the machine virtual and noticed it contained snapshots. DOH!

I guess it is pretty bad, not sure where to start?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    James

I copied VM, with and without clichés, without problems. Have a few running on OSX Fusion so

The first thing I would check would be for folders and .lck files. If so, remove them.

    HP eliteBook 6930

This error is a bit confusing.  At first glance it seems to refer to the CMOS/RTC battery but actually refers to the main battery to the laptop.  Even if the computer indicates that the battery is at 100%, it would be a good idea to check that it is in working condition.  I think that it is a good first step, because although it doesn't show 100% charge, you say the laptop does not work unless it is on current alternative.  This paper addresses the issue further.

As indicated in the document, the HP Battery Check will be performed to determine if the battery is faulty.

To perform battery check do the following and display the result.

    1. Unplug the power cord and turn the computer off.
    2. Press on the button / stop to turn on the computer.
    3. Press the ESC key immediately seeing the HP or Compaq logo screen.
    4. The Start menu appears.
    5. Press F2 to select F2 System Diagnostics .
    6. Select battery Test in the list of diagnostic tests.
    7. Connect the power supply cable.
    8. Click Start Test Battery on the battery Test page.

If your battery fails this test, it will need to be replaced.  To get a spare battery, you will have to contact HP Support.  If you are in the USA / Canada you can call to the 1-800-474-6836.  If you are located outside of this area, you will need to go to the HP support site and after selecting your country, search for "Customer Support" in the lower right corner to get contact information for your region.

    I hope this helps!

  • Error 244: The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.

I have LabVIEW 2010 and, during Windows startup, this error message appears:

"The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.

(244): Please wait until the National Instruments PSP Service is running and try to start the DataFinder or restart your computer. »

I got this pop error during the past year it's a recurring thing. He began to show a few months after installing the LabVIEW program on my computer, so I'm not sure on what caused this message still appears. I find that it causes also a delay in the start of my computer - my other startup applications starting to show only when I close the error window. Help, please! Thank you.

    Hi xcontradictorx,

Looks like National Instruments PSP server locator cannot be started. Could go you to the control panel > administrator tools > Services and locate the server National Instruments PSP Locator? Double-click it and make sure that the service is started. If this is the case, stop and start again (just by pressing the stop and start buttons). If this is not the case, run it, and then go in the Recovery tab and choose restart the Service as long as the action of first, second and more about chess.

If after changing the settings for the PSP the issue to continue service I think that for some reason any PSP service will just be started late for some reason any. Could you do a quick real test: disable the DataFinder in msconfig, reboot, then run the C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\DataFinderDesktop\bin DataFinder.exe. This should place the MyDataFinder app in your taskbar (that looks like a yellow gear).

If this is successful, then we will have to change the order of startup services such as the DataFinder begins just after the service of the PSP.

    Try the following:

    (1) locate the DataFinder entry from the registry. Located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    (2) remove the entry DataFinder
    (3) add a shortcut to DataFinder.exe in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu Menu\Programs\Startup
    (4) restart

This should make all the standard Windows startup (as from services, etc.) and then launch the DataFinder.

One question: do you use the DataFinder at all? Either with DIAdem or database search tool? If this isn't the case, you can try to remove it from the startup items. Simply go to start > run... and type "msconfig". Click the Startup tab, look for DataFinder and deselect. Click on apply. That will probably get rid of the error message.

Vista Ultimate - trying to COMPLETE the backup of a computer

    Hi people,

I had a similar problem with Vista (64-bit edition complete edition) machine. I run automatic backups for more than a year. Suddenly, backups started fail with the following error code:

"The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable 0 x 80070570.

I thought it would be my external drive - so I tried an another one - same error. After a search of different topics around, I tried various fixes (similar to above), but none of them worked.

I managed to find the problem though. The issue is not with the drive being written - it's the current backup disc that is the problem. If you want to save your primary drive (C:, for example), try to perform a check of the errors on this drive (right click on your drive home, you are trying to save, choose 'Properties' then go to 'tools' - click 'Check now' under the control of errors - and check both boxes). Since this is the current drive, you must stop and restart - the system then automatically checks the system files and windows files on the next boot.

After doing this, my problem cleared up. Apparently, the backup software was crashing trying to read a corrupted file or a sector of the hard disk, that he was backing.

    Hi Zanadu,

It could be a problem with the backup USB drive that you created by using the Paragon Software.

I suggest you to contact Paragon as it appears after taking the backup. You can check the link to contact Paragon support team:

  • Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Hello

I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.

VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Here is my log file

Thanks a lot for your help

PS: I'm leaving a beginner in the Linux world, so explanation would be welcome

    Hello

Welcome to the VMware community forums.

I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.

If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.

    vmx| E105: PANIC: VERIFY bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr=148722

If you then put the bug number into google, you get:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1227

Which indicates in return you can set a configuration file to specify the actual frequency of your processor.

Your processor is an Intel (r) Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

The linux variant of the config.ini file they speak on windows hosts is/etc/vmware/config

  • Cannot start virtual machines on Windows - get "internal error."

After restarting my computer, all the virtual machines in workstation that allows you to start now will no longer start.  Currently to get the super useless error message: "Internal error." which is of course totally shameful.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, tried searching for "cpuidHash" in my registry to reset, which curiously is not there as part of the services, I tried to remove / delete the VMEM and even tried to create a new VM and start it without an operating system and all attempts to start no VM result in the same message.  Also get the same error when trying to boot from VMware Player.

Key in the log error can be: "E105: PANIC: CHECK bora\vmcore\vmx\main\timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr = 148722 '.

Any help on how to get VMware software to service is appreciated - thanks in advance!

Thank you Darius - had already tried.  It turns out that this specific response of spoonalious solved my problem.  Not sure what caused the problem in the 1st place, to my knowledge, nothing had changed, but after completing these steps and restart services the issue was resolved after much work.  VMware software are extremely fragile and breaks easily it seems:

New host PC - VM will start is more (internal error - VMWare Workstation 11)

Thanks to Darius and spoonalious for the position of solution!

Is - the name change "vmware.exe" with something else?

  • AddNode cmd failed for the secondary node: internal error of AAM - agent could not start. : unknown error HA

I'm testing paths to upgrade to vSphere ESX 3.5 update 4 on an IBM BladeCenter with 2 hs21 xm Server blades; I am going through several problems, and the last is the one mentioned in the subject of this thread.

In this scenario, I've upgraded successfully vCenter then I took all the virtual machines on a single host esx 3.5, I removed the other host in the cluster, and then vcenter, then I did a new install of vSphere, I reconnected it the host to the cluster then I did all the procedure with the second node. In the end, I have two installed vSphere hosts but I had to disable my cluster HA always been, I get this error when I try to configure HA agents on the hosts, but I must say that the DRS ok works.

In the release notes for vSphere, in the section known issues, I can read:

"Upgrade of an ESX/ESXi 3.x host an ESX/ESXi 4.0 host results in a successful upgrade, but VMware HA reconfiguration may fail.

When using vCenter Update Manager 4.0 to upgrade an ESX/ESXi 3.x ESX/ESXi 4.0 host, if the host part of an AP or DRS cluster, the update succeeds and the host is reconnected to vCenter Server, but HA reconfiguration may fail. The following error message in the summary of the host tab: HA agent has an error: cmd addnode failed for the main node: internal error of AAM - agent could not be started. : HA unknown error.

Solution: manually reconfigure HA by right-clicking on the host and select Reconfigure for VMware HA. »

The problem is that of workaround does not work for me, so I was wondering if someone, is once again able to help me with this problem.

Thanks in advance for your support.

    Hi Caddo,

I had the same problem with one of my hosts.  It was resolved after disabling HA on the cluster and enabling again.

  • Power error: internal error

I have a new installation of windows 8.1 with all the latest updates installed. Whenever I try to turn on a virtual machine, I get the error "error when switching on: internal error". I have searched the forums and tried all the suggested fixes include ensuring that the authentication service is running, when you rename the file vmware.exe and vmware.exe running as administrator. Looking through the logs, it seems that there is major permissions issues, but I have no idea how to solve. Can anyone help? I have attached the affected log files.

Hi hyjkimand welcome to the VMware communities!

What is your host system?  You may need to check the updates to the BIOS/firmware for your host... He reported information of nonsense to us, which is the cause of the failure.

If you are sure that your host machine has the latest updates of BIOS/firmware applied, let me know and I'll provide a workaround solution for your system.

    Thank you

  • Internal error starting the Virtual Machine after Crash

I'm in Yosemite and when running a virtual Windows 7 machine it suddenly stopped working. The beach ball slider off for half an hour and I was force quit Fusion 7. While trying to launch the virtual machine again, I get a message "Internal error" generic.

Already tried: restart my Mac, repair permissions, uninstall/reinstall Fusion 7, even try to fix the main VMDK file (it is divided and returned without error).

    Any suggestions?

Looks like you run your virtual machines from a disk formatted in NTFS by using the Paragon NTFS driver.  Have you tried to use disk utility to check the integrity of the NTFS partition?  Error messages suggest strongly that the NTFS file system may be corrupted or there may be a problem with the NTFS driver.  (I think that the NTFS driver is not available when you used the recovery environment to check disks).

If this volume extracted also OK through the disk utility first aid option, you pourriez either requires an upgrade of your driver of Paragon NTFS since version 11 to version 12 (which their Web site claims is the first version with support of Yosemite), or you may need to set the drive on a Windows machine and have windows to control its own native on the volume file system in Paragon file system audit case missing something.

    See you soon,.
