Internal memory access

I only post this question because I am currently using a SE Xperia Ray phone and can not access its internal memory on the PC via a USB cable. You can access the SD card using the USB.

I think of buying an Xperia M4 Aqua. but since it has 8GBs internal memory (less), I intend to use option of Android Marshmallow to convert an external SD card to internal memory in order to increase my memory, once I get the update of Marshmallow.

But because of the issue that I am having my Xperia Ray I am now worried if if I not transfer my personal files (music, videos) in the internal memory, once I have converted the SD card.
Who had a problem with only the phone Xperia Ray or is it common to all Xperia phones?

Please help me solve this problem before that I can't buy this phone.

Thank you!

You should just like with the other Xperias, so if you have pictures, videos, downloads, you should

Once you have opened in the browser use the menu to copy the page addess, and then paste it into a memo of something to see at what URL it actually used.  Compare this with that you try - maybe that will show you what you need to specify.

  • Memory access Internet via USB...

How can I access the internal memory? When I connect via USB, only showed storage is the SD card, I installed. I don't see the internal storage. I would like to add my photos of my old Captivate to my new Atrix 2, but I can't. I have a 2G SD card, which has been very long since I save the images in the phone's memory and make a back up periodically. So, how can I put my old pictures on the phone, not the SD card? I tried the port USB, MotoLink (which I discovered is not compatible yet) and the portal of phone... nothing. Help please!

On the Captivate, I could plug it into the USB port and two drives will appear... one for the internal memory of the phone and one for the external SD card. How it works with the Atrix 2? Thank you!

The Captivate and Atrix 1 have an external SD card and what is called an "internal SD card" - not really an SD card, but the system thus so you have storage even if no SD card is connected.

The Atrix 2 does not have an "internal SD card." The internal memory is for only - just like unreachable on the Captivate application storage.

You need to get a bigger external SD card if you want to take more pictures. I know that Buy.com just had 8 GB for $10 while they are very affordable now--yet more low-speed 32 GB are less than $50.

  • Satellite A60-672 has an internal memory that is immovable

NEBIE here with what is probably a stupid question.

I bought 1 GB of DDR Ram to upgrade the laptop above (which is currently a very limited 256 MB RAM) and removed the access memory based slot then... confusion.

This model has an internal memory that is immovable?
There is a black sticker on the memory, the levers to release the memory are blocked to other areas of the motherboard that makes me suspect that there is another angle.

If Yes, where is the actual expansion slot?

Sorry if this seems a bit thick!

    Hope you can help.

    > This model has an internal memory which is not removable?

Yes, the Satellite A60 supports a 256 MB internal memory and this memory may not be withdrawn. There is therefore only ONE slot of memory which is expandable.

So, you will be able to upgrade memory only to 1280MB

    See you soon

  • Motorcycle G 3rd GEN cannot transfer files from internal memory to SD card.

    Hello

I recently bought this mobile and updated the marshmallow immediately. I formatted the SD card to internal storage and I have no problem to move applications (a little), but I'm unable to move or copy the music or files.

There seems to be no the mobile option (settings > storage & USB), since the applications themselves (like Google Play or Gallery), or from the camera to set the default value for the storage location.

I tried for hours to check in different forums, but I'm not able to find anything conclusive.

All I can do is Exchange of files between my PC and the internal memory, but I can't access the SD card in the PC (I already read that it is impossible, as it is encrypted), but what I didn't expect is unable to do the same between the internal memory and the SD in my phone.

Anyone has a solution or explanation or why I can't do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Oh Hi, me again.

I found a solution and I want to post here, just in case someone has a similar problem.

Apparently, the first time that I formatted my internal SD card it was didn't appropriately. I don't know why, but it happened.

From settings > storage & USB > SD card > tap the three vertical dots on the upper left corner and choose "as portable Format. I advise you to remove all apps before do it for return to the internal memory of the mobile. Once empty to proceed, you can choose the same menu last for formatting as internal (again). Follow all the steps in the procedure to move the files to the memory of your mobile phone to the SD card.

I did and I can transfer files from my computer it, music, videos, photos and everything.

    Great!

  • Question about HP Slate 7 more 1301 (internal memory and USB)

    Hi all.

I plan to buy a HP Slate 7 more 1301 soon, however one thing confuses me.

On one of the user guides I've read online, for this, he says:

"A micro SD card must be installed before you can transfer files between your Tablet and the computer."

Now, I've read that for many tablets, 'internal memory' can be used only for applications and others, but not for data.

So, how does this Tablet? Would I be able to access the internal memory it comes with (the 8GB Nand flash player) and transfer files to it? Or do I have to get a microSD card to add data storage capabilities to the Tablet?

In the case, I can't use the internal memory to store data via the USB connection, I can at least transfer data to it with another method? As methods based on a cloud, or WiFi apps?

In my view, that it runs Android 4.2.

Thank you, any help is appreciated.

    Hi Bremsstrahlung,

This user's guide have you seen that in, could you put a link? On tablets (especially those without a Manager installed files, or 4.4/KitKat tablets) you would need a computer in order to transfer files between the Tablet internal storage and microSD card, but I have not heard any model for Tablet from HP that require a microSD card to transfer files between a computer and the tablet. All of HP's tablets have a standard micro-USB port with a USB data cable you can connect your computer and access the files stored on your tablet (regardless of the fact that it is equipped with a memory card).

You can certainly use the Tablet for data memory. Expandable storage (microSD card) is completely optional.

  • Cannot select internal memory on the Vixia HF 600

I have some videos saved on my 'internal memory '. Now that I've inserted and the external memory card format, I can't go back to the internal memory to download.

I followed the "instructions" in the manual, but once I get to recording options, there is no place on the menu/options to change the internal memory.

Calling for a "help" about it, because it's frustrating me no end.

    Hi JHAstrello!

    Thanks for posting.

The VIXIA HF R600 lacks an internal memory for video recording.  Any video that you recorded previously would have been recorded to external memory card.  Any video that you tried to record without the memory card in the camcorder would not have been recorded.

If you use another card before memory, in other words than in the camcorder to access the video recorded thereon.

If it's the same memory card like the one you have now, the initialization of the card erases it.  If this is the case, you can recover the contents of the map with special data recovery software.  Canon does not have this software, but it is widely available.  You can contact the manufacturer of the memory card you have for more information.

  • microSD and integration internal memory

    Hello

I wanted to know if we can play the mixed songs of microSD + total internal memory in the same joint session.

If the songs/playlists in the microSD space have the same reading and navigation also has available for songs to internal memory.

(The Creative players have fewer features for SD cards, compared to internal memory)

I read Clip + user manual and it seems that microSD is treated differently

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Thank you!

Well, I think I have my answer...

I was reading the comments on the Clip +, and this one had the following fragment:

(...) The Clip + will integrate content on the map with your library of music on board, so you must Access the two separately. The exception is when you use cards SlotRadio and SlotMusic, which are separate from your library because they are both organized in a very special way (...)

    Solved!

  • Playlists spanning the internal memory and SD card?

Anyone know how to point to songs on the card or on the internal memory?

I can create a playlist that can access only files on memory in-house so it playlist is kept on the 'rocket' or on the SD card if the playlist is maintained on the SD card.  I can't understand how to have a playlist saved about the ROCKET on the SD card.

I don't need anything fancy... just need to know what path qualifier I put in my path, m3u.

    Thank you

    Cartman

You can also create yourself these .pla playlists. Apparently you just need an empty file "playlistname.pla", and a text file called 'playlistname.pla.refs' that contains a path per line, with the prefix /mmc:0: for the internal memory or /mmc:1: to the memory card. For example

    /MMC:0:/music/somesong.MP3

    /MMC:1:/music/someothersong.MP3

Too much work of the backslashes for the rest of the way, just the first character must be a slash. And the file should BACK line breaks, UNIX line breaks do not work.

  • Android update 6.0.1 impossible to format the SD card internal memory cannot move the app to the SD card

I've just updated to Android 6.0.1 yesterday evening and I realized a lot of things has changed. I can't access my store apps on the SD card in Android 5.1.1. I was able to move apps to the SD card on 5.1.1 to free internal memory. Update Marshmallow supposed to have better functionality. It can mount the provided internal memory SD card I have to formatted as internal memory. I have bee playing around with my phone all day and I made during the liberation of Sony, they do not have this feature. I've been YouTubeing autour and found in 6.0.1 in the submenu settings/storage/SD card, there should be 3 possibilities. Eject, Format and format the internal memory. That's what Miss me. Also if you insert the SD card for the first time, it should appear a notification asking you what to do with the SD card. He don't ask me. This is a feature known with Marshmallow. My phone have 16g, it won't hold all my apps, which was the reason why I spend a few apps to SD on Android 5.1.1. So what's happening?

I have also factory reset my phone and format my SD on my computer, it still doesn't work. He only treats like a portable storage.

    @CameronT

    Problem solved

I don't know that it's a bug or not. the reason why he did not move the app to the SD card was because the SD card has been beyond 32 G. Since I was a 64G with a total of 59G free. It will not transfer.  So I downloaded my photos, music and videos to take 1/2 of the memories. Now I have 29G left, restarted my phone and transfer of applications very well. go figure.

A solution has been published on Androidcentral.com

    http://forums.androidcentral.com/ask-question/598712-can-t-move-app-not-enough-storage-space.html

It's just a work around now, it would be really nice to have just mounted as internal memory memory card.

  • Internal memory

Is there a way to save internal memory on my iPod Touch? According to Apple's site, they claim iOS 10 built-in apps use more than 200 MB. Is this true?

Manage how much music and other media keep you on it and unload your photos to your computer on a regular basis. Other than that, get rid of the applications that you do not use.

  • I moved it to the SD card, why still do 30 MB (and growing) internal memory?

I see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=615519 said CHECK FIXED the profile data should be moved to the SD card as well as the application and about: hide-and-seek said should take only 10240, but Android noted as taking 30 MB internal memory (1.75 MB app, the rest for data).

When I went in: config and set browser.cache.disk.capacity to 5120, Android has reported its use 25 MB. Yet there are 20 MB reported missing. What can I do?

(I use nightly, Aurora 17.0a2 2012-09-24 on a plain HTC Desire with Cyanogenmod)

This is not Firefox for Android. It's only the older XUL based mobile browser development was halted on about 10 of Firefox.
