• Mounting USB keyboard freezes internal keyboard and trackpad

  Spent an hour looking for a solution to this so I hope this isn't a problem of repetition. I am using a wired USB keyboard (DYNEX model No.: DX-WKBDSL) with my MBP end 2011, but whenever I have set and keyboard Setup Assistant appears my internal trackpad immediately stops responding and my internal keyboard sounds fair to me if I tap on a button. This keeps me from hitting continue setting. If I unplug the USB keyboard, I immediately regain control of my internal input devices. Disks hard USB and flash drives cause no problems. I need to be able to use my usb full keyboard, so I have a 10 key. Can someone help me?

  I noticed the guys like the thing EtreCheck here so I just ran on my machine (obviously without my keyboard usb attached since that would freeze everything). I hope that helps!

  And why shouldn't t someone recommends you to check the functionality using the external keyboard?

  It s recommended to connect an external keyboard to verify how the BACKSPACE key would work using 2nd external keyboard. In case the back might work properly using USB keyboard, the question is very clear; in such cases its main shortcomings. The key cannot be replaced or changed or fixed. In this case, need to replace the entire keyboard!

  In case the BACKSPACE key does not even using the external keyboard, then this would mean that the internal keyboard controller is faulty and in this case only the replacement motherboard would be useful.

  But to be honest, I think that its simple keyboard failure and a replacement would solve this.

  I'm completely stuck I have a portable satellite c660 keyboard did not work.
  So I bought a replacement keyboard and installed and checked in the Device Manager and it says it is there and works correctly, but the replacement keyboard still does not work.

  In case the external keyboard would work properly, you had any luck with the new keyboard. It might be possible that the new keyboard is malfunctioning.

  I have a Satellite P10 with WinXP (SP1) for about 1 year.
  Symptoms: it's the internal keyboard. I used the key pipe <|>indeed, not every day, but it worked. And suddenly, I see that it does no more: it is 'dead', while all other keys work correctly...

  My next steps:
  (1) I uninstalled the driver of standard keyboard (101/102 keys) or Microsoft Natural Keyboard (PS/2) keyboard, and were found after Windows starts. There is no material conflict under the Device Manager or the information system, the driver runs correctly...

  (2) the keyboard layout is German. But I have already tested the English (United States) too: the result is the same.

  Questions:
  (1) is the key physically damaged?
  (2) otherwise, what I can do to solve the problem? Where can I get a newer driver perhaps?

  As far as I know that it is not necessary to install a driver for keyboard. The driver is built into the OS. If the button is dead and doesn't work at all, it is probably defective.

• Satellite U305 S7446 - internal keyboard delivers outdoor work but

  I'm having a problem with my keyboard on my Satellite U305 S7446, that I bought in 2007 in the United States. I live in Ireland. It is rarely used agao and 2 weeks, I discovered that my keyboard has become intermittent and sometimes would not work. The touchpad is very well. Due to various problems with VISTA, I reinstalled the operating system and drivers but could not complete the installation because I had no keyboard.   This very strange boyfriend s, but to me it sounds like that, the keyboard is defective. I mean normally during installation, the keyboard should work without any problem.

  Have you tried an external keyboard that works which means that the internal keyboard is defective.

  To check the laptop, you can go to an authorized service provider. On the Toshiba site you can search for one.
  Normally a new keyboard isn't so expensive and perhaps you can sent if the keyboard isn't defective.

  Hello, I just installed my 12 MacBook with Windows 8.1 Pro with bootcamp provided tools (6.0), but international keyboard apple does not work as expected because the other accents special characters do not work. • United States International keyboard option does not properly

  Hello, I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.  I had been using the option of United States International keyboard, but it has stopped working.  The keys as the "quote mark and the tilde ~ print twice instead of the combination with the next character."  I tried to reinstall the keyboard option, but I still have the same problem.  I don't know when it started so I can't link to a particular Windows Update but I not made any changes to my hardware or installed new programs.  I use the Avira Anti Vir personal.

  Took me a little while to understand it as it is not obviously accessible somehow...
  Please, try the following. Go to 'Control Panel\Clock, language and Region\Language', click English (United States)... 'options', then 'Add an input method', search for [QWERTY] United States International Touch Keyboard layout (in my case) or similar; then 'Add '.

• Internal keyboard and mouse do not randomly respond time forcing me to restart my laptop 15 times until it works again

  1. sometimes this feedback haptic on the mouse is not triggered, leaving me by clicking on the mouse, while feeling against nature - something that is not supposed to happen

  2. after I close my laptop / closing of the lid/Eve (do not turn it off) the keyboard and the mouse literally don't work - it forces me to restart my laptop several times (sometimes around 15, take me 5-10 minutes just to get my laptop to work)

  Additional details:

  -J' tested a USB keyboard and mouse with my laptop and it works perfectly, even when the internal don't - maybe it's a hardware problem?

  -I went to the apple store a few weeks ago and spoke to someone at the "Genius Bar," which really helped at all - he told me I have to restart my laptop every time I open and I should do another user account - although I was skeptical about the logic used to arrive at these "solutions" I tried them anyway , here we are with the same problem - also, I don't have to close my laptop down 15 times every time I want to use, it's ridiculous, and that's why I bought a mac rather than a pc.

  -I'm not running any software/battery intensive programs on my laptop - especially just the word and the Google Chrome, which is not a lot

  One thing that causes the mouse further trolling, is if your CPU is completely consumed by something. This can be checked in activity monitor CPU (all processes).

  Two other things can keep your Mac to be properly adjusted:

  GPU is suspended. These are cases where the GPU is no longer and can usually be seen in the console log, with symptoms such as GPU hang or WindowServer does not.

  Disk crashes.

  I have been using the keyboard configuration United International (see 306560 KB) for some time now and there is one thing that I find really annoying: the keys for the ' (APOSTROPHE), "(QUOTATION MARK), '(ACCENT GRAVE), ~ (TILDE) and ^ (CARET) are 'dead' in that provision, which means that they do not produce immediately a character when I press them.»

  I use this keyboard to enter German text and I did "dead keys" behavior at all, because all the German special characters (such as umlauts) can be produced by pressing the right ALT (ALTGR) while pressing another key (for example I can produce u pressing ALT GR + y).
