Internet Explorer 8 has disappeared from my computer.

I have Windows Vista and for the last month ~ 4 have used Explorer 8 without any problem.  I also have Firefox on my computer, but E8 is my default.  Today when I turned on my computer, Explorer disappeared completely, but I can not reinstall it.  He said a new version of the Explorer is on my machine, but when I search, nothing comes up.  How can I reinstall it?

The "%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer" folder exist?  If so, does it contain iexplore.exe?  What happens when you doible - click on this image? Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

    Try this...

Go to control panel > add or remove programs > Add/Remove Windows components > put a check mark by Accessories > click Next.

MSPaint.exe is located in C:\Windows\System32. You might create a shortcut to the exe.

  • Color problems: the red color has disappeared from my computer

    Original title: color problems

The red color has disappeared from my computer. The moniter is ok.

    Hello

You did it changes on your machine before the problem?

It could be a hardware failure.

Things that can be loaded are listed below:

    broken monitor cable has...
    b. defective monitor.
    c. faulty graphics card.

    You can consider measurements:

    Step 1:

Double check that monitor cable is firmly attached. Try the Wiggles, see if the color returns.
    Step 2:

Test another monitor on the PC (Personal Computer), and/or the monitor on another PC.
    Step 3:

You may have a bad cable, or the monitor may be defective.

    Step 4:

Right-click on the desktop and select Properties. Go to the tab settings, and report on what choice was filed under 'Color quality' and what is the other choice in the drop-down list?

If there is no choice of color quality better than what you have, you may not use the correct driver for your video card or monitor.

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for video card and see if the red color appears.

Follow the steps in the link to uninstall and reinstall the video card drivers.

  • IE8 has disappeared from my computer and I can't retrieve it or download it successfully.

Works fully update Vista HP on a gateway DX4710-09, Pentium Dual core E5200, 6 GB of RAM DDR2, HD 640GO with lots of space empty.

Originally 32 and 64 bit versions of IE8 was installed and usable.  Just for a test, on 06/02/13 I installed and set Firefox as default browser but do not delete IE8 or other than to replace it with Firefox by default.  I used Firefox and IE8 such as required and all worked well for a while and then a few days ago two versions of IE8 has mysteriously disappeared from my computer and I was not able to get a return.  I tried to download but for some reason any that does not work.  I checked the list of installed programs and IE8 does not appear here and the two icons disappeared in the start menu, as well as in the Group of quick launch.  An IE folder appears in Windows Explorer in the Program Files folder as the Program Files (x 86) folders.  The subfolders in each list of files with a modification of 18/02/13 date I think it's the date IE8 disappeared.  Being not qualified for one more, I did nothing with any of the files in these folders for fear of making things worse.  Someone care to volunteer to get out of this dilemma?

  • My firefox has disappeared from my computer. I tried to reinstall, but it won't work. How can I reinstall the program?

The program has disappeared from my program list. The only thing he is an empty folder of Mozilla. I tried to re install several times but can not get fire fox for running or even provide an icon to launch it.

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission get full and unrestricted, access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See:

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if this will install Firefox properly.

  • The start menu has disappeared from the computer... With explore 7 and the upper part is not constant either. No miracle solution?

The start menu can only be achieved by using ctrl and esc.  Sometimes, it would be great if they kept things simple.

    Hello coinfused,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

The taskbar is visible? Usually when you ctrl + esc and get the start menu, it means that the hide feature is automatically enabled for the taskbar.

    ·         Move your mouse to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar expected popup.

    ·         Right-click on the taskbar visible now and left click on properties.

    ·         Search for auto-hide the taskbar, uncheck the box in the box and click ok.

    Hope this helps

  • Photoshop.exe has disappeared from my computer

Windows 10 Pro, Surface Pro 3. I have a full licensed version (perpetual) of PSCS6 + various plug-ins, etc.

Every 3 months, I start PS CS6 and I get some sort of opinion on "Your trial version" (is about to expire, etc.). I think the last time that happened, cat was always available and has been very helpful. In my view, that a registry key has been involved... Obviously, Adobe surreptitiously change from time to time some configuration settings, so when the PS is launched, it behaves like a trial version. I guess it's an effort to move the user to a perpetual a CC license. It is a tactical cheese and unethical IMHO.

I launched the PS today and there is a new problem. The PS shortcut launches connect to CC. The dialog box has the legend "Photoshop CS6 extended." There is a paragraph entitled "terms and conditions for the evaluation version. It is a new problem.

I checked the target of the shortcut of PS. It's "" C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit) \Photoshop.exe"" but there is no "Photoshop.exe" anywhere on my C drive, according to a research from Windows Explorer. Of course within 2 days since I finally used PS, the executable literally was removed from my machine. The one who deleted the executable file of course set the computer to open the CC dialog box...

So my first question is how to get back my original licensed executable and correctly configured plugins, brushes, actions, etc.

My second question is how can I get insurance from Adobe which will not get dirty with the executable file under license again?

    Thank you very much.

    reinstall your ps cs6.

  • My DVD device has "disappeared" from the COMPUTER screen page and is unusable/unrecognisable. Just gone.

I am running Vista.  My DVD drive is an Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 5560 a ATA DEVICE.  This has happened in the past, I think that as a direct result of the execution of "update".  I am not very computer but I think it has something to do with the filters.  Dell has fixed this for me several times, but he continues to to and I would like to know the procedure to fix myself (off warranty and Dell charges a lot$ $$).  Yet once, when I click on COMPUTER, this device is simply not there.

    Hello

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    Hope these helps.
