Internet Explorer hanging up

I recently received assistance on how to uninstall IE7 so that I can download and reinstall again. I had trouble with it hangs up on me and I was unable to uninstall the previous version. I got help and it worked that I was able to uninstall the old file. Then, I went ahead and downloaded/installed copy the most recent. It appeared to work for one or twice, however, now I'm having the same problem; in other words, sometimes it will load, and sometimes it won't.

The previous programme of assistance suggested that I try Opera... I will, but I would always like to have IE7 available and functional. :-)

Any thoughts? Thank you.

Thank you... I managed to uninstall the Google toolbar and perhaps the Yahoo one? I am alittle uncertain on Yahoo, one as 'part' is always there; Maybe it's the way it is supposed to be. The original Yahoo toolbar took two lines... it is now fairly well short. I'll have to see if that makes a difference.

I smiled at your comment about our tech being lazy... in fact, we have a Department wonderful tech on our campus. The problem I had with the test prints were actually at the site of a Publisher, and it was their tech people who gave me this info. She knew my problem before I even spit out as soon as I mentioned the transition from IE to Firefox.

I'm so glad I found this site... I can't believe how long we get his questions answered... and so good!

Thank you for your time and effort!

I have a 32-bit Vista, which has worked perfectly for almost 4 years until yesterday. Freeze the icons on my desktop and internet explore cannot open any other web site, after having opened the first web site. Once you close the web site, and then try another icons do not work for short cuts. The taskbar remains functional. I have to go into the Task Manager to close Explorer which rest spinning means that it cannot open. I tried a system restore to two days ago and he said there is a mistake, and he couldn't change my settings. Then I went to windows defender under programs to view current programs and I found several programs window internet explorer running even though in Task Manager, they were removed. Once I erased these stars, the icons would work, but only for the first attempt. Then I went to the Windows Defender and 2-3 lines of windows internet explorer is numbered. Why is this happening? For every time that you access internet prgrams multiple of the same are running and then hang up the entire internet and shortcuts icon freezing. Help, please.

    Thank you

Success!  All I had to do was reset internet explore windows. Fortunately, this did not clear all of my passwords or settings which I expected. The only change I noticed was the size of the screen. I had to change to fill the computer screen. I don't have to do a system restore.

  • Tecra M5 - Internet explorer "hangs".

Sometimes when web pages loading my internet just hangs - and load in a few seconds, but it can do several times a day, doesn't seem to matter what I loaded, it happens even with Google page. Anyone have any ideas why or how I can stop it? Thank you

    Hello

Don t worry. This also happens on my unit.
I think that this problem is related to Microsoft Windows and IE.
Sometimes, my OS is not able to update the IP address and I have to restart the laptop.

In any case, I don't think you'll be able to fix this short interruption with the internet. Sometimes also the provider connection could be responsible for these issues. But in my opinion it s not very annoying.
