Internet from Smartphones blackBerry stuck on BB Bold

Hello world

Last year, I left the company that I worked and they gave me a spare BB "BOLD". They used to have a BED server until 2013, and that's they had a few blackberrys as spare part.
I use this phone so far, but after I did a hard reset I could no longer surf the Internet or add email accounts. It seems that the old BES server that they no longer have blocking somehow my phone.
I tried to contact the guys from my old job and they said that the BES server is not in operation for 2013 and that they can't do something...

Is there a solution for me please? How to break the link to an old Server BES completely and use MY phone as usual?

Thank you very much
Roger.

Hi @ROGERIOPCF

Today, after fighting with a customer service tmobile for more than 2 hours (one hour in con Conference Rim), I already solve the problem with the internet, I have to pay $ 10 more for months with tmobile and for this they add me Blackberry company Server, so when you have installed on your "BOLD", they will put the Blackberry Internet on your phone.

The only problem is that they do not offer the browser because they do not have the service exactly books the Blackberry "BOLD", but you can put the service books used by the Blackberry 8320 and you have the internet browser on your new Blackberry "BOLD".

Here is the exact way to do this, follow this link, read first and do it.

If you need some information, please report it.

  • Emails from Smartphones blackBerry, pines, text messages disappears from the device

    Hello

The TEXT from emails, pine, keep disappearing from Bold 9900. Device is connected to a BES server. Device has been replaced and account re-created on the server but still happening. No idea why and how to solve the problem?

    THX

Hello and welcome to the community!

Since you're on BES, you really should work with your BES admin... they have a lot of things and it is possible that they apply an expiration that you aren't aware of the control.

Otherwise, here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

    I have a curve 8330 with Telus.

I have a yahoo mail acct linked to my BBerry.

Lately all my emails appear as "Read" (on the two BBerry & Yahoo mail) shortly after receiving them.

I did not any changes recently to account for this. This isn't a huge problem, just irritating as... well you get the point

    Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Yes it's a little annoying feature of Yahoo. Here's a knockout who explains how you can deal with it:

    • KB13704 Received e-mail messages from the BlackBerry Internet Service through an integration of Yahoo! are delivered to the smartphone BlackBerry as read

I hope that it contains something useful

You are facing constraints of memory in your device. Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

    Check the below knowledge base-

  • Emails from Smartphones blackBerry takes 15 minutes to appear on my torch (from outlook)

When someone sends me an email, it takes 15 minutes so he can appear on my torch. If I connect to my account in outlook on a computer, I can see that the email was delivered to me.

I called support of BB, and they said there is no way I can do a moment of power on my phone from an outlook account. I don't think this is true.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem? I do not use company, I started ut as internet e-mail account

As indicated by knottyrope, the only way to get access to Instant Messaging is on BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server).  E-mail accessed via BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service - used for email outside the company) can take up to 15 minutes to arrive.  There is no way to change this and it's just how it works.

Sorry, the news is not positive, but you'll get used to it.  And as a heads up, from time to time your BB will receive e-mail before Outlook.  It depends on when BIS asked web emails.

  • OS from Smartphones blackBerry update disaster

Simply, I can't believe the amount of aggravation BB blithely inflicted on users by giving us a service of automatic update that, without warning, remove applications and destroys the data.  I highly dependent on my BB Tour 9630 and am deeply upset by the abuse, I have suffered in the past 18 hours.  I use Blackberry smartphones for several years and have found them extremely valuable.  But this episode will definitely encourage me to explore other options.  How could BB, you do this?

I'm not a mac user, and I seemed to have easily on this in your posts.  I'm not familiar with the function of automatic update in Mac Desktop Manager.  DM for Mac is pretty new, so there may be bugs in this system.  Just make sure that Desktop Manager does not work on the side Mac and, Yes, use Parallels to run the application loader.  There's a Loader.exe file usually located in c:\program files\common search in motion\apploader who will do that for you if you can find it in your Windows environment.  Loader.exe ignores all the extra stuff from Desktop Manager and takes you right to the OS loading screen. I use it for all operating system updates.   If you can't find it Application Loader in the DM will work well.

When you get your apps back, just return to the DM in Mac and restore your backup data file.

Is there any truth to this? I checked the link to Blackberry and got a message saying that the page was not found.

My favorite is the technical term that they use "very comprehensive."

    It is indeed a hoax.

A hoax message circulating on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) asks users to message BBM to their contacts in order to maintain the BBM service and claims to have been sent originally by Research In Motion (RIM).

Be assured that this BBM message did not come from the RIM and that it does not affect the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a string of hoax message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications in the face of this scenario, according to which no message, including a hoax message, can be transmitted to a user of one of their contacts. We recommend that users simply ignore the message and do not convey.

English version of the broadcast message illegitimate:

  • OS from Smartphones blackBerry update from 7.0 to 7.1

I have a bold 9790 running an OS 7.0. in checking for updates, through the OTA or Desktop Manager I get a message that no update is available.

I downloaded the OS7.1 version associated with my website fromBlackberry to network directly. I did the install but nothing happened, I followed some recommendations found on various forums such as to delete the Vendor.xml file and launch the application loader, even when nothing happened.

Would appreciate any help to complete the update.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Maybe it's that you're almost do everything correctly... first of all, some background.

The ability of automated processes (both on the device and the desktop software/website) update is based on the code of VendorID on the device which is placed in the material during the manufacturing process (and can never be changed). This code corresponds to only one carrier in the world and without the substitution of automated processes, only those carriers of OS packages are available to you. So if your BB is already run that this carrier is supported, automated processes nothing you offer.

But you can use other packages of OS of carriers - via the PC and the SELLER. Deleting XML thing. But what I think is that you deleted only one SUPPLIER. XML file on the OS packages later, there are two of them, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Good luck and let us know!

  • OS from Smartphones blackBerry torch 9850 7.1.0.580 not updated.

Hello, just download the last sprint update for my flashlight from the swdowload website and installed on the PC. When iconnect my camera it does not detect the update of the new facility of 7.1.0.580. I am currently using 7.1.0.402 which is a leaked version. I use the desktop blackberry 7.0 software

    Hello

You did not, so I can't tell if you are a Sprint customer or not... or, more specifically, whether or not the VendorID of your BB is Sprint. But, this OS package comes from one carrier other than the carrier that your BB was built, on your PC, and then remove all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Now run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

In addition, make sure that you just installed, on your PC, a packet of BB OS... with more than one installed on your PC can sometimes cause problems.

Alternatively, you can bypass the Desktop software and proceed directly to Loader... from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. As stated above, if this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC.

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

Good luck and let us know!
