Internet s DC every 30 minutes - 1 hour for just a few seconds

Hey everybody.

I recently had a problem since I reformatted my computer about two months ago.  It happens randomly, most of the time on every 30 minutes to an hour and disconnection only lasts a few seconds and will automatically reconnect. I'm the only computer using this router. My router is a newer router with a built-in modem. I am direct connecting the router/modem for my computer.
At first I thought the network card on my motherboard was just going bad, so I bought a well known & reviewed internet card. Has worked for a week, now same problem. I tried ipconfig/release, /renew/ and / flushdns - still dc.
The only other thing I know to try replace the ethernet cable, but I didn't yet. So if you guys have any possible solutions I'd love to try them. Looks like I can't play a game without worrying about dying during disconnection.
Thank you!
Cody v.

  • Internet connection drops every 30 minutes

I'm chasing a frustrating problem on one of our HP laptops.

The laptop loses its internet connection after 30 to 60 minutes, and the only way to get it back is to restart the PC.

The PC is a dv6 Pavilion with Intel Core i5 processor chip.

Operating system is Win7 Home Premium SP1

Network adapters that I show are:

    Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN

    Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

    Antivirus is MS Security Essentials

    Router is a Cisco/Linksys E1500

    The modem is Actiontec M1000

    Is DSL through Qwest

The error message we get when internet stop working, said something about "cannot find DNS", I will copy it down the next time it happens.

The PC only to lose the connection is this.

Reset the modem and the router not to find an internet connection.

The problem occurs if the PC is connected via a cable or wireless

When the PC loses the internet connection I can still see and ping it to other PC, and you can still see the other PC.

Here's what we've done so far without success:

Run the Network Diagnostics can not find the question

    Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface

(all these returned when we restarted)

Change DNS servers on the local network, Wi - Fi and on different servers

Change the DNS from the router to the same servers 2 servers

Restored the PC on 2 previous restore points

    Update Intel WiFi driver

Don't scan last Antimalwarebytes - no problems found

    Turned off the firewall

Removed McAfee (hate this stupid show)

I am at a loss what to do next.   Any ideas?

We try to be methodical obviously, starting with the simple and more complex.

I'm sorry that you run on the wireless issue. I need to know your number of complete product, the Intel wireless driver version number and the version number of the BIOS.

    How can I fix

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer network adapter?

    2. you made any hardware or software comes to the computer before the show?

    3. are you aware of the damage to the cables connecting the modem, the router and the computer?

    4. do you have a third-party security program installed on the computer?

This problem may be caused by a bad network adapter driver or network cable is loose or unplugged.

Here are some ways you can follow to resolve the problem:

    Method 1:

Check out the link and follow the steps in the article:

    Wireless and wired network problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/network-connection-problem-help#network-problems=Windows-8&V1H=win8tab4&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

    Method 2:

Temporarily disable the security software and check if it helps.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

Reset TCP/IP and check if it works.

    Follow these steps:

    (a) press the Windows key + X, and then select command prompt (admin).

    (b) at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following command and then press ENTER:
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Note: If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command:
    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    (c) restart the computer.

Hope this solves the problem. If the problem persists, you can write to us and we will be happy to help you further.

  • My internet quality drops every 5 seconds - 3 minutes for 1 to 5 seconds while playing games.

    * Original title: quality Internet stutters?

    The problem:

My internet quality drops all the 5 seconds - 3 minutes for 1 to 5 seconds and I have no idea if this is my system, my router, my card or my internet provider. It is to play games almost impossible.

You can see dips in connection on the chart on the attached photo.

    Complete test results: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3591022597

    Info:

My current provider is Xfininty (Comcast Cable) and we have a bunch of 25Mbps (it's what I think it is.).

My current router is the "double AC1900 - router Linksys band SMART Wi - Fi" and the card to go with it is the Linksys AC1200-free wire-USB AC adapter ("Linkysys WUSB6300" in the Device Manager) and "Rocketfish USB 3.0 PCI Express Card" for the adapter to be used for my computer. I need the adapter so I can access the two Wi - Fi signals, the router clears.

    |-------------------------------------|

My System Specs are as follows:

    Processor: Intel (r) Core S 860 @ 2.53 GHz 2.53 GHz

    Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB

    System type: 64-bit Operating System

    Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT440

    |-----------------------------------------------|

    Other info:

I used to have an old router a NetGear, and there was the same problem, but with a slow connection constantly. We have since then replaced by the current one and that did not help, wait for the best connection. I found a new router would fix it, but it didn't. This is why I think it's my system or my internet provider.

My router is in the basement and I am on the 2nd floor of my house, but that has not affected all the world, so I don't think it affected me. Other dips in the connection, the quality was great and constant.

    What I tried:

I contacted Xfinity and chatted with an agent and described the problem I did here, and they said that nothing was wrong, on their side, as they watched it. A friend suggested may have my system. In this case, I made sure everything is up to date, and I believe that it is.

All the cables that are used for the router are correctly connected.

    Reasons:

-Why I think this is my System: offset varies in different games. For some games, my ping will increase and it will be a "big shift" and the shift happens from time to time, rarely, while for the other games it will lag very frequently, it will be a "small shift", while there will be no change in the ping.

-Why I think it's my internet provider: even if I got a new router and adapter, there are always these tips little lag as it did before.

    ----------

For me, it's quite confusing, because there are reasons pointing in all sorts of directions and I don't have no idea what direction to go. I tried as much as I can, although apparently not liked very much.

    ----------

Thanks for reading and thanks for helping if you do.

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. I was talking about the pre-installed games that I was online with like Team Fortress 2 and League of Legends. But due to another question earlier about another problem, I deleted Norton Security Suite and who seemed to have it fixed. I just hope that is not temporary.

If you update on this, I'll post it here.

    Thanks for the help.

  • wireless radio turns off every 2 minutes

I have a Thinkpad Z60t, running on Windows XP.

I have the wireless switch physical on the side panel on the position we (that is to the right).

At the beginning, I can't connect to any wireless network without problem. However, after about 2 minutes of not actively using the internet, the green 'radio Wireless' on the front panel turns off and I lose my internet connection. Then I do "Fn + F5" (or ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> Radios in Wireless Power on / off) to activate on (and get the light to go back to being green). Then I have to reconnect to the wireless network.

I think that this is a common problem. I tried several suggestions that I found on other forums, including ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> select location-> Open Access Connections profiles-> Configure-> location of switch-> UNSELECT "enable automatic location change". Actually, this method seems to work for a few hours, but then stopped.

I am sure that my wireless network is stable - my roommate's laptop does not lose the signal every 2 minutes as I do. I think my laptop wireless radio turns off automatically after 2 minutes of no use, and this feature should be turned off somehow.

Help, please. I'm frustrated to have to reconnect manually every 2 minutes.

    -Ed

Open Control Panel, go to the system, the property of equipment/system, then go to Device Manager.

Under the ownership of the wireless card (right click on the wireless card and property select), there are settings for the roaming of aggressiveness, energy saving and power output.

  • Why should I clear my cache on average every 30 minutes?

On average, every 30 minutes or so, when I opened a new tab or refresh only a current tab, the page is completely distorted, links or text missing and other various caching issues. Why this happens so often? It is very annoying that I have to manually clear my cache every 30 minutes... If I get up to eat or to watch a show or any other number of things... when I return from my browser does not cache pages correctly and I have to delete it manually each time.

This happened to me in the past and finally disappeared... but after I updated the browser, he began to do this again. I'll have to resort to using Internet Explorer against my will just so that I'm not bothered by that. How can this be fixed for good?

If you happen to have a PC/computer Samsung laptop, this problem of random cache of compensation has been associated with a program called Samsung Help Center. You can search around to see if there is a fix, or if he's still the best solution to uninstall.
