Internet slow (ping) on Macbook (mid-2012)
I a mid 2012 macbook pro (non-retine) and recently started having slower speeds of the internet. When you use the Ookla speed test, my ping is generally more than 200 (sometimes as high 700); my download speed is around 3 Mbps, when it is usually around 7. I thought it was the internet connection, but then I checked with an Ipad on the same connection, internet speed was 7mbps (ping was 40). When I try the speedtest on some sites powered by Ookla (like my Qwest or at the & t support site, it won't even run the speed test, saying that there is a latency error, or there is a firewall between my computer and the server).
What I tried that did not work:
Turn off the firewall in my security/privacy settings.
Removing a silverlight program I had downloaded recently play video on a local Web site, so I don't know if that would be a factor.
Remove the DivX program, based on what I've read in another similar post on the forum.
* I did not run an uninstall on these programs, but just moved to the trash, then maybe it is needed?
Change my DNS openDNS numbers numbers. I've since changed my original numbers.
Any suggestions?
Also, I tried to plug directly into my DSL cord and without wifi. The same problem.

Hi, would appreciate help.
Yesterday, MacBook has been works ok, but I noticed a few beach balls, lasting a few seconds.
Today when I turned on the computer, this means balloons lastminute beach. I.e. of clicked on my user login, 3 minutes. Start typing pw, I press the first key and have to wait 3 minutes, then once, every action leads to a beach balls, lasting 5 minutes or more.

I am tempted to delete but with deletion problems
Impossible to uninstall programs Adobe
When I try to run it, it says failure, try restarting the computer, etc..
(It worked 1 time, but uninstalled stopped at 99%.) During the reboot, the program is still there)
Impossible to delete files
Deleting files coming with the error - 50
(On a few restarts I was able to delete the files. Isn't every time)
I tried to reboot in safe mode. It took 10 minutes to restart.
He showed SafeMode on user login screen, but then, once connected, it resembled normal mode? (Not sure if this is how it is supposed to be?).

Should I upgrade my macbook mid 2012 lion 10.7.5 pro to El capitan?
Some things have worked odd how wifi does not immediately connect and safari in place, and El capitan appears to be sound got some interesting features and is relatively stable, so I think the upgrade.
However, I wonder if my material from mid-2012 (macbook pro) be able to match with the El Captian software?
People have already done this without problems?

Basic steps for the OS X upgrade
Save the installer somewhere before you actually install El Capitan because Setup deletes automatic after installation. If you get a 16 GB USB flash drive and download DiskMaker X , you can create your own flash bootable installation USB key.

Cannot install Windows on MacBook mid 2012 El Capitan 10
I struggled for a few days to the new installation of Windows 10 on my MacBook Air mid 2012, 13 ". I just upgraded to El Capitan, but my bootcamp still shows the version 5.0.4 (473) when I go to install Windows 10 via USB bootable 64 bit, bootcamp opens with "older versions of Windows are not supported. Please use a Flash DRIVE or a Dvd that contains Windows 7 or later. "I don't know how update bootcamp separately, because the only updated to bootcamp 6 can I download is a .exe, which does not work on my Mac. Is there a way to get around this? Am I missing something? I also saw on other forums where there is a menu actions in bootcamp to download windows drivers, but my bootcamp is not a drop Action. The usb key that I use is a Samsung 32 g (fat32) 3.0 flash drive. Help, please. Thanks for your time :)
1 is it possible have two installations of Mac OS X or your upgrade is not yet complete. Please check the about this Mac and confirm.
2 has been upgraded to El Capitan made using the App Store?
3. you have more than one boot disk for your Mac?
4. you can always re - run the upgrade of El Capitan, which will be re-install/update the missing files.
5. What is the name of the .exe file that you can download? What is the source?
6. If possible, use a USB2 flash drive. USB3 drives can cause problems.

Hi all, updated for the most recent updates earlier, airdrop no longer works. Can confirm that the laptop could see the iphone until both have been updated (but the phone could not see the laptop).
I tried to delete the plist bluetooth here: / Library/Preferences /-I've seen it mentioned in old messages. He did not contribute if.

Support on this community has helped me tremendously before so I thought I'd post again about a new problem.
I upgraded my Mac with an SSD, which works very well, with more RAM; However, recently, it has been very slow and train, and I don't know why. RAM is not being crazy, so it must be something else.
After reading the other posts, I'm thinking maybe I need a new battery? I mean I have 893 cycles ahah. Could someone help with this?

Hello. Try restarting your Mac.
Try to start:
-Stop your Mac
-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button
-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key
-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar
-Once your Mac boot, restart dhcpd as you usually do.
If this does not help, follow the instructions below:
-Stop your Mac
-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button
-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key
-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar
-Once you see office, start a scan Disk Utility to detect and repair file system errors (remember to choose your primary hard drive)
-Click on the disc to check, then, if requested to solve the problems on the repair disk
-After that click on verify disk permissions, and then click Repair disk permissions
-Once the process is complete, stop your Mac and turn it on again after 30 seconds

Very slow Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012
Hello world! I'm not savvy at all, so my apologies if something is not clear in my message below.

Processor: Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

Storage: 139.3/499.25 GB in use; 359,95 GB free
For the last two weeks, my Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) has been extremely slow. The colorful beachball (aka the wheel of death) often shows up, even when I'm just trying to type something, such as now (I'll have to type really slowly, so it can track). This slowness came very suddenly.
I tried resetting SMC/NVRAM, repair disk permissions, then by restarting in safe mode, but the problem persists (I also tried to upgrade to El Capitan, but was met with a loop of reboot delicious and recovered my time machine backup again to the recovery mode). I think I can also try to reindex spotlight, but I may or may not succeed.
I was not able to create a Time Machine backup successfully for the last month, because it gets stuck on "preparing for backup...". "(not sure if this could be related). I also wanted to point out that Dropbox is one of my startup items, but I got it for centuries, and it has never been my Macbook it ridiculously slow. Before this slowness, I would leave it and my Macbook would be back up to speed. I also tried to remove the list of startup items and slowness persists even after rebooting.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Run the Console application in one of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

All of a sudden c. slow Macbook Pro mid 2012

A few days ago, my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) began to slow all of a sudden, often due to frequent beachballing of the cursor. I've had it three years now, and he never ran so slow. So it seems that you need to develop your ram on this model because your running a lot of things at once, or the system is spent as you have used. Its pretty easy to install new ram on your template as well.
Your computer can be upgraded to 16 GB of ram on this model. There are several kits out there to buy for this as well with. Let me know if you need help.

Hi dude, I would ask why, after I upgraded my MacBook Pro mid 2012 at Kingston XFury 240 GB SSD, my MacBook Pro take more than an hour at the system boot? The purpose of my mac said the SSD (S.M.A.R.T. is checked) and RAM information. I also restart the EL Capitan already.

Install OS X using the recovery network
Make sure that you have backed up your files because the following procedure will remove all of the hard drive.
Start on the recovery of the network server:
Restart the computer after the ring, press in and hold the COMMAND + OPTION + R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15 - 20 minutes - until the main recovery menu appears.
Partition and format the hard disk:
- Select in the main menu disk utility and click on the continue button.

MacBook Pro (3-inches, mid-2012) suddenly started running very slowly; Beach balls very common
About a week and a half, it started running very slowly with the spinning beach balls popping up all the time. This reminds me of how when I have too many tabs of the browser as in the past, but now, even with browsers had closed, open Word or Skype is really slow. (I'm sorry for any confusing formulation; I'm not very computer customer connected, unfortunately!)
Some of the things I've tried so far and EtreCheck below):
-safe mode
-detection of hardware problems (control + D)
-reset the PRAM
-using the utility disc for repair/first care; also check
-wipe the hard drive and reinstalling original OS X Lion (was still slow with beach balls; I tried to install OS X El Capitan to see if that would help, but installation could not finish)
-wipe the hard drive and restarting from a backup previous (one month before the problems started)

You Mbps HARD drive is suspect. Start the recovery (COMMAND-R) partition and select in menu 4 disk utility. Run disk utility > first aid > repair.
Unrelated, but your battery has seen a lot of use. I suggest to replace.

Do not start (El Capitan, mid 2012 Macbook Pro)
Hi all!
I'm having serious problems with my Unibody Macbook Pro mid 2012 since a few days ago.
On Sunday, all of a sudden the computer really slow and G.Chrome used a lot of CPU, so I rebooted the machine, but on reboot, I couldn't get the operating system to start. I kept getting a white screen with the circle-slash (prohibitory sign) and a file of o Apple logo with the question mark that would Flash briefly before returning to the slash of circle.
After leaving the computer alone for half an hour, it starts without a problem. I rebooted again to see if the problem disappeared, but he returned to the circle-slash.
I tried the resets of LANDAU and SMC but no result. I couldn't enter Recovery Mode (via CMD + R, because he just left me a white screen). I got the computer to reboot again and ran first aid to disk on the disk and partition utility and I got a message that says that there is only a problem with the map of partition with could prevent from starting.So, I downloaded El Capitan on the App store, is an installation of the flash player program, reformatted the whole drive and reinstalled the operating system but I always get the slash circle approximately 85% of the time and cannot set the Mode of recovery without the flash player. Also, I can't access Single User Mode (CMD + S) I get an error that says something about a problem loading the kernel cache.
In summary: when the operating system loads (15% of the time), it works well; but can not access the Recovery Mode in single user Mode.
What are my options?

Your HARD drive may also be suspect or the connection with it. Try to access the Internet, OPTION-COMMAND-R recovery on startup. Then run disk utility > first aid.
