Internet TC hangs on all devices, all a few minutes

Hi all!  I have a model A1470 Time Capsule router that I have problems with.  After owning it for a few months a thing began to happen where every 20 minutes or so internet cling, as in pages Web would fail to load all devices.  All you can do is to wait about 5 minutes and then he'll come back.  Sometimes he would go hours without any problem, but generally it is quite common.  I tried a factory reset using the button on the back of the CT, but no luck.  Then I tried downgrading the firmware to an earlier version, but no previous versions are available and the current version is the only option.  My modem is new and is a Motorola SB6183 (the problem that happened before and after the purchase of this new modem on the other hand, the old modem was also a motorola).  I had the ISP check the modem at their end and everything was fine.  My last attempt at a fix installed an old ASUS router I had, that works perfectly and connection problems have disappeared.  I would of course use the TC rather well, but not until I find out what is the problem and how to fix it.  Someone had a similar problem?  Any ideas on a possible solution?  Thank you!

Your problem is common... Is the modem SB and the airport of AC combo. (Influences the TC and AE)

Substantially both themselves very well... Although I would like to reserve my judgment on the TC. When tested with any other router modem SB is very well... and the TC works very well with other selected modems... Although the choice must be made with care... There is certainly a problem. Apple have never acknowledged nor attempted to fix it. I still don't know exactly the problem... as I cannot reproduce with my own questions on the TC.

For now, you have two choices...

Replace the cable modem... zoom is recommended to work well.

Intermittently, Time Capsule does not connect to the cable Modem

OR

Replace a router better. Exactly what you were doing.

My last attempt at a fix installed an old ASUS router I had, that works perfectly and connection problems have disappeared.

As long as the Asus is dependant, you can simply as a router... wireless. (even if it is fine to use also wireless asus and TC)

Connect the TC and use the TC in bridge mode... Then you can configure the TC for handling wireless to your network, but also TM backups. As long as it does not work as a router, it will work fine.

Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.

Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.

Some third party routers have advanced that you may need to change the settings:

The encryption algorithm must be AES.

The group key interval must be 3200.

I can't give you specific instructions on how to change these settings, because all routers are different. Refer to the documentation for the provider.

  • All few minutes my computer has an error

All few minutes my computer has an error: plugin - container.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. -What it means and how to fix it?

Maybe as Support engineer who is hired by Microsoft does not know this plugin - container.exe is part of Firefox and has nothing to do with Windows XP.

You must be sure that you are on the latest version of Firefox (currently 11.0)

You need to clear your cache/temporary Internet files.

You must scan your system for malware.

It could be that you have a distressed Firefox extension, so you should check for updates too.

If the problem seems to occur regularly on any particular WWW site, this site could be afflicted in some way.

You should then see if the problem persists and if so, display the full message, you see.

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

These comprehensive analyses can take some time, but you really need to run.  SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them.  Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

In 1985, there were 11 known computer viruses.  Today, there are over 70,000 and new threats are detected every day.  Always update your virus definitions before running a scan.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

    Hello

If IE is involved and of the foregoing did not help.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - IE with no Addons - what works best?

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK

    Close and restart IE

    not better?

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if she's here, it is no longer necessary but Java
installs and it causes more questions - have you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again.) Glance
    for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right.
Allowed are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program, ask
    topic here.

Could be a free - BHOremover - BHO - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run.

  • When I open a web page any using firefox, its ok for a few minutes, then he opens another page saying it is redirected for no reason at all

When I open a web page any using firefox, its ok for a few minutes, then he opens another page saying it is redirected for no reason at all, the homepage remains open, but the other page start for no reason at all in another tab

It's very consistent, he arrives a few minutes? In this case, I suggest this test:

To find out if one of your extensions is the culprit, could you test mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    Any difference?
