• Remote Camera Control (RCC) & intervalometer A7

  1. why RCC software developed only for laptops? Who wants to carry laptop to the field? It is not practical at all.  Please make it work with mobile devices: phones, tablets. Which means he has to work with Android and iOS.

  2. the application of time is nice, but it does not work for bulb mode. If the user wants to take more than 30 seconds, for example, star trail, this app is useless.  And the shutter release sold by Sony which cannot either.  Please include in the next firmeware update.  I think Nikon has done that Sony should too.  Don't make users feel regret the purchase of Sony product, in this case, A7.

• Recommendation of tutorial and software for streaming video?

  I work in a school and managing the "writing Center" in the library. I need a camera pointed at the writing Center cameras which broadcasts streaming to a Web page. Teachers will be able to click a bookmark to see the web stream, or a jpg "intervalometer" every 1 minute or so, to see if there are useful volunteers available to help their students. • Update firmware for HX100V?

  Request for update of firmware for HX100V to include photography in fast motion in the film section. Now I can record in 30ps (MPEG4) or 60ps (AVCHD). It should be possible to allow flexible adjustment for slower frame per second to produce the same photograph of time-lapse effects. No necessary intervalometer. My cheapie GE X 5 camera have intervalometer setting for interval of 30 s, 1 min, 5 min & 10 min. Kind of sad to see that you missed this feature in a perfect unit for photography accelerated. Get there in the guy.

• Time lapse EOS Utility

  I'm trying to use the eos utility to do some fundimentals time, but it seems that the shortest time between photos, that I can put it 5 seconds. It's a bit long for my purposes. Is there a way I can set the time to 1 or 2 seconds instead? I do not enough time to make it worth my time buying an intervalometer.

  The value of most short interval you can set is 5 seconds.  It cannot be set shorter than that.

• Slow shutter speed

  I have an a99 and I wanted to set the shutter speed to for more than 30 seconds, but I can't do it, even in manual mode. Help. Thank you very much.

  The A99 motorway has shutter speeds selectible of 1/8000 to 30 seconds, over the bulb. If you want to set the shutter speed to something more than 30 seconds, you must use the parameter B (bulb) and push the button for the desired exposure time. You can do this by physically holding the button, or you can use a remote control or an intervalometer.

• NEX-7 Time Lapse

  Why oh why, after the first update of the firmware I still need to buy a third part intervalometer for my NEX-7?   This camera is great and setting the video button with the latest firmware question he really had to do, but Sony needs to solve this problem in time-lapse.  Give me an intervalometer hot shoe for the NEX-7 Sony or build in the firmware.   I hate paste them stuff on the front of the camera.  And it makes your camera look like junk!

• Is there a way to make the time with RX 10?

  Are there options or remote controls on the horizon that would allow the RX 10 to shoot gaps of time?

  Frances: with all due respect, it's the kind of frustrating non-response that is very typical of the support on these forums.

  I don't know about the RM-VPR1 remote and I know (and I hope you do too) that it does not support the timelapse or any intervalometer function.  Then why you include it in a 'response' if it has nothing to do with the question?

  Because what you're saying is, indeed, that "no, there is currently no way to get time with the RX 10 differences." It would be a much more simple and honest answer.

  Moreover, I do not accept this answer as a solution, just to be clear. Another one of my unanswered questions was marked in this way and not by me. A little straight talk would go a long way here.

  I was wondering if you can make movies of TimeLapse sequenced in the body?

  I don't mean simply import an h264 and accelerating.

  I want to say, import RAW images taken with an intervalometer in the chronology of the Organization?

  First will not import the RAW files, I don't think; However, creating a timelapse the sequential use of the stills is not a problem. Read the help file under Import sequences of still images numbered as video clips for more information on this. You will need to process your RAW images in something else first, like TIFF.

  You can change the framerate of your sequence again by right clicking on it and seleting > interpret footage. You can also set a default images for all 'undetermined' media frequency in Edit > Preferences > Media; by default, it is 29.97, but you can assign it timebase you favorite. Of course, this can be replaced with the command interpret footage.
