Invalid key product (you have 19 days to activate)

I have a three pc activation code, which is now appear as invalid on the third computer. What can I do to make this work?

Activate manually.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

    Hello

    1. are you using a CD provided by the manufacturer of the computer, or you use a retail XP CD?
2 is the key that you are using a sticker on the computer or the one included with a purchase XP?
    3. What is the exact error you get when you enter the product key?

If you use the key of a sticker on the computer, you need to be sure to use an OEM provided the CD to reinstall.
The key to the sticker on a computer that says "OEM" will not be able to activate on a Setup from a retail CD.

Follow the steps in the article.

I restore an HP Pavilion computer and try to install Windows XP Home Edition, with the button on the side of the computer.  I contacted HP and they no longer have an available for this computer recovery CD.  So, I tried to install a copy of Windows XP Edition retail family, but when I enter the OEM product key I get "invalid key".  I read on this forum that you can not mix the OEM disc/keys with detail, but it seems that I don't have to buy another copy of Windows when it came with my computer.  What choices do I have?

    None!

So I don't Support HP and Microsoft no help either.  Activation Center asked me to call the Department of parts (which is incorrect) and the parts Department told me that they cannot provide Windows which was distributed by HP!  Microsoft changed this start with Vista, so I do not understand why they are always telling customers that.

  • Lost my product key after you have reinstalled Vista caused by a virus

I had a nasty virus on my laptop which has not been picked up by my anti virus software.  I had to have the hard drive wiped and reinstalled everything, however, I have more the validation for preloaded delivered Vista key.  Vista has now stopped working.  Anyway is to discover the key?  I always use the same laptop so hope there is a solution.

    Hello

as you reinstalled vista but not activated key finder programs may not help you find lost product keys

Look on the underside of your laptop for the product key

It will be on a sticker and contain 25 digits divided into 5 groups of 5 digits

If it is not there, contact the manufacturer of your computer

  • invalid key product

I try to install my genuine copy of xp home edition on my Vm ware player but the product key for the invalid message States. Now I install this copy on my old laptop which is now abandoned so im assuming it has something to do with it. I have probably not yet pay as long as it is only used on a single computer. What can I do to fix this?

Usually, invalid product keys is a result of "mistakes" when you enter the numbers.  Sometimes, the letter 0 may resemble that of o..

However, if you were connected to the internet at the time wherever you tried to install xp, then perhaps given that microsoft has the OS enabled on another computer, it would be not to activate again on the new computer.

In this case, it must be 'disabled', i.e. not installed out of the Microsoft anti piracy system...  Otherwise, you will need to purchase a second license.

  • Invalid key product (already in use)

    Hello team Microsoft,

Moreover, my name is Tomylight and im from the Philippines. I really need your help please respond to my problem. so there it goes, I bought a new laptop (Compaq Presario) and when I bought it, they gave me my 1st full genuine copy of Windows Vista (Home Basic) with the COA, holographic image to the CD too... it was the first time that I formatted my laptop but after all the minute wait when I checked my computer information it says that I have to activate it then I did However, it is said that my product key is in USE? What is quite comfusing coz this is the first time I coded it. Help me please. I want that my Windows Vista genuine.

Hoping for your response guys. Please help me.

    Hi Tomylight,

The product key is used because 'you' use it. In other words it has already been activated once and the number of product key appears on the activation of Microsoft database. This isn't a problem, instead of activate over the internet, a simple call to the activation of Microsoft, line will solve the problem. When I look at the bottom of my laptop, I don't see the product key!
I have 29 days to activate.

I don't see any real alternative to return to the manufacturer of the system. Even if it is simply a bug in the validation system, the original owner of the product key, it is the only one who knows what can happen to her. Not having is not a certificate of Authority (COA) on the back and no drive home with one, implies that the OEM you bought at some explainng to do. Ask for a certificate of authenticity for your machine.
