Invisible graph

Hello

I am developing an application in labview 8.2 and I have a display problem pour my graphs. Indeed, I have two graphs on the front (graph 1 and graph 2) who launch are all two visbles with their curve. I wish to make a single visible on both using a Patterns. My problem is that when for example I put visible graph 1 and graph 2 invisible, the curve of graph 1 disappears (same conclusion if I displayed graph 2 and makes invisble graph 1, the curve appears more on graph 2).

Thank you pour your help and good day.

Djamel

Excuse me pay this oversight. This is the VI in version 8.2.

Well cordially

  • Panel to freeze after moving on graph

    Hi all

    I have a VI with a graph and various controls. The user configures the settings and see the results on the graph by using a loop of events and then press start. Once you press start, the block schema leaves the event loop and executes the actions related to the material.

    I discovered that, if after pressing start the user moves his mouse over the graph, the façade freezes. If I remove the event 'mouse move' in the loop of the event, it is not. This gel that happens after the user pressed start and once the event loop has been exited, so it should not affect anything. The block scheme continues to flow and the VI normally leaves, but for the duration of the user cannot press what either on the front panel.

    I have attached a simplified version of our code. There is a loop of events with moving the mouse and start, and after that, she left the event loop and waits 30 seconds. If you move your mouse over the chart during these 30 seconds, you will be able to press on tabs in the tab control. If you do, the façade freezes and you can not press these tabs any longer.

    The solution that I use now is to make the invisible graph after pressing start, but this is very inelegant. Removal of the mouse move event is not an option. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens and how to solve?

    Thank you

    Danielle

    Your VI is password protected so I have no idea what actually makes your code. If you are using a structure of the event, I think that your 'mouse move' event has verified the following. If so, then uncheck the box to see if that helps!

  • overlapping in an invisible line graph lines

    Hi Experts,

    I do a line graph in responses, and 2 of 5 lines in the response show exactly the same values.
    Therefore, the 2 lines overlap. Symbols that mark value is visible, but the line connecting the line is invisible.
    I have not seen this problem before, all solutions?

  • Using an algorithm of scaling of the graph of a waveform within a Subvi invisible?

    Hello

    I have a little problem with the automatic scaling of the graphs.

    First of all:

    For automatic scaling of the axis LabVIEW uses the set of data that was sent to the curve. If I zoomed in on the inside, the automatic scaling always uses all of the data even if it is not visible at the moment. To resolve this problem, I read on the positions of the zoom sliders and values min/max within this area of research. This method works.

    Second:

    Now, I want to the scale of the axis using the specified min/max values. Labview graphics using a special algorithm of scaling according to the format of the axis. I want to use it, so my idea was to send the cut data and format of the axis to a Subvi. Inside this Subvi, I use a waveformgraph to display the cut data and run an automatic scaling once. Now, I read the values min/max of the graph and set this values on the main chart, I see in my program.

    The result is, my main chart shows the data zoomed area in maximum size (to the axis scale) and hole data is always available, so I can still pass the data in the chart or others.

    Problem: The sense of scale with a grpah inside a Subvi only works if the chart inside the Subvi is visible. If it isn't, no scaling would be made. My solution is to open the Subvi as a small window and close automatically after the scaling. It's not very nice.

    Are there any other ideas how to use auto scaling without showing the front of the Subvi?

    Thank you very much and best regards,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    -show your façade out of the visible screen area, so the user does not notice the window...

    -Make your own algorithm of scaling based on these values min/max...

  • XY Graph-Y-scale visible on the scale of Y corresponding watch still false Max and Min

    Hi guys,.

    I use the XY graph to display the data with 3 Y-scales.

    When I put any scale Y property visibility to False, its display even the Y scale Max and Min range lines in the plot area of the chart and cross line or additional parallel line with other visible scales.

    Attached to the page Ref.

    And I know that the cross-line may be due to different ranges of scales is defining. But the XY graph does not show the scales are invisible and possessions as well.

    Please provide your suggestions to avoid this.

    Scales and lines associated with these scales are separate properties. I've never tried and now I'm not in front of a computer, but should have properties for the definition of the grid line color. Implement transparent.

  • invisible plots still under development

    Strange thing: when I have several plots, and they all are hidden (Visibility = Collapsed), and then when I got out of the data, it is shown first and then hidden (and not only not being developed in the first place). When I have at least a plot visible and invisible are not drawn as expected.

    I was able to reproduce this problem, when all parcels are hidden in a graph with a frame rendering mode. I created a task to solve this problem in the next version of Measurement Studio.

    To work around the problem, you can use this function to erase the graph:

    private void ClearRasterPlotArea( ) {

            if( graph.ActualRenderMode == RenderMode.Raster ) {

                RenderMode renderMode = graph.RenderMode;

                graph.RenderMode = RenderMode.Vector;

                graph.RenderMode = renderMode;

            }

        }

    When a chart is in raster mode, happening temporarily the graphic to vector, then return to the old way, forcing the target raster to clear rendering.

  • XY graph slow in response

    Hi all

    I have 2 XY graphs in my VI and for some reason any 1 XY is super slow in response. I enclose my vi here which shows the behavior.

    There are 2 XY graphs. The top is super slow in response and one below behaves normally.

    Could someone please look at the vi and let me know what is the problem with the slow chart?

    Thank you

    Ritesh

    Ritesh,

    I think the data are written for graphics before changing the Visible property to false. I ran the Profiler and saw indications of quantity of memory used which resembled a copy was made for the chart slow, even when she was invisible.

    When I put a structure of sequences in the nodes property and wired through the data in the graph, I can't slow it down or copies of additional data.

    Consider that your chart has only 800 + pixels in width and you are feeding 200000 data points. The internal code of the chart should reduce these data the number of pixels on the screen. The x-axis data is linear. If you have reduced the data, especially at the end of the high frequency, it would probably speed things up. Also because the x-axis data is linear, you can use a waveform graph, and not the graph XY. I don't have test intensively, but with a waveform graph, it seemed much more quickly.

    # I just noticed you have smoothed checked on the slow chart and not on the quick graph.  Turn on other charts that slows them, too!

  • graph XY on the TAB container does not update

    Hello

    I have attached a simple VI, and I understand why I see this behavior:

    When I run the VI then the first tab is visible (where the xygraph is located), I get what I expect: I calculate the offsets, and I redraw the graph with the property node.

    But if I run the VI during the second page of the TAB is visible, I get a wrong result, the graph does not the calculation of the compensation and modification on the chart. (Table gives zero element)

    This means that, if my graphic is in a TAB page which is not displayed, I can't use its property nodes?

    Thanks for the help!

    Are yous because this for any node property or specifically the sliders?  You see the same behavior if you do the invisible Grpah XY but leave on tab 1.  It seems that the properties of cursors do not work correctly if the XY graph is not visible.  I consider cela a bug.

    How do you determine the values of the cursor?  A user highlights them, or their calculation and setting in?  If hardset or calculated at a given time, store the values of cursor and use them instead of watching the cursor property.

    If the user selects the, use the structure of the event to trigger an event when the user releases the cursor.  Get slider right there, store them and use these values.

  • How can I make a plot in an invisible graphic 3d

    Hi all

    attached, it is only a halfway completed vi which shows how would I land/plots in the invisible 3d graph. Unfortunately as I don't know how "item" can make reference to the plot, I want to make invisible.

    any ideas?

    You are almost correct.

    The entrance of the element is a string whose value is the name of the plot of the target. You can view all the names of plots in the context menu-> "CWGraph3D" group-> item 'Properties'-> tab 'Traces'-> 'Plots' list.

  • View a larger version of a graph/cat on demand

    Hello

    I have a page with a dozen graphics - very small so that they can fit on the façade - showing all kinds of info. Now, I want to give a user the opportunity to see a much larger version of one of these cards, he can choose:

    Is there a way to do this?

    I can think of a case structure based on the value selected in the ring would be re - route one of the smaller cards in a big table. However, the problem is that the data in the tables of small are inconsistent - sometimes it's a conspiracy, sometimes 2 plots (say, a cluster of two doubles), sometimes 8 plots etc. Thus, this idea doesn't really work.

    Otherwise, I can think of creating large versions of all the small tables, put them all in the same place, make all invisible and toggle visibility based on the selection. But obviously it is very clumsy and not really scalable.

    Is there an easy way to do it?

    Thanks in advance.

    How about a graph mixed signals?

  • Best way to disable several plots on XY-graph?

    Hi all

    I need to hear here. I have an XY Chart with several plots.

    Here's how the VI would work.

    1. start of program, no parcels or scale is shown.

    2. several buttons are available to select who are plotting to TURN (corresponding scale is also ON / OFF).

    What I have now is to transmit the data to the first graph with all plots and invisible scale.

    I did it using the graphics property ActPlot, ActYscl and PlotVisble nodes, but I had to for this

    through each ActPlot/ActYscl. There are therefore several knots of property in all directions as

    in the figure below.

    My questions are the following:

    1. a lot of knots of property would require more memory or CPU resources?

    I do a lot of similar manipulation on the graphics property (cursors, scale, color, etc.). I'm worried

    the end result is a program that really doesn't do much, but a lot of memory/CPU hog resources.

    2. is there a better way to do it? Perhaps a property node that turns off all

    visible at once?

    I read in another post that suggests to use a loop to turn off one by one. I can

    certainly do it, but it would be a better way?

    Any suggestion or the part of the thought is appreciated!

    Thank you

    CC

    Certainly you must change the data that you pass to the chart, especially when working with lots of data. Simple reason: memory usage.

    Visibility of switching does not reduce the amount of data that you pass to the curve (that copy for display) as a result, you'll probably lose a lot of memory.

    But if you want to display all data at once and only give the possibility to hide the small amounts of data, the approach with the 'visible' property node is OK, but...

    hope this helps,

    Norbert

    EDIT: If you want to change multiple properties at the same time, you must include a control panel (Control Panel-property) defer updates.

  • Refining circular cropping a graph of intensity

    I am trying to create a more efficient and friendly programmer to circular harvest a graph of intensity. Currently I can crop the graphic with a matlab script but try to improve the process. I would like to be able to say where the image will be cropped before executing the command. My solution was to place an invisible plot with the same scale above the graph which can draw a circle around the area to crop. As you can imagine, aligning these graphs is boring and does not lend to rearraging my vi. I'm looking for a better way to draw a circle/say where it is harvested beforehand.

    This is a relatively simple method by using the PlotImage property and a slider.

  • create/remove graph sliders programattically

    Hello

    In LabVIEW 2011, we are working with a single-trace graph that updates periodically; We need to draw programmatically the sliders during the race, as new data become available.  Initially, we just create a static array of cursors, made all invisible, then moved and makes them visible as they have become relevant; However, now we want to make the dynamic list.  It is best done by reading the list of cursor, manipulate the table according to the needs, and then writing it in the chart, or is there better ways?  The process is to identify peaks and valleys in a plot in ever-changing data.  I find it interesting that the user can create new cursors manually, but there is no property to allow the same programmatically; Ditto for remove them; the user created cursors use the default attributes that are not adapted to our needs.

    I am looking for the solution less long-term, and rewrite the entire table seems to be unnecessary performance degradation.

    Maybe we should create new sliders in blocks to reduce the number of updates to list of cursor?  I'd like to think the worst case is about 60 sliders, but as the peak detect algorithm is automatic, an unusual data signal could cause several hundred.  The graph will survive even this?  All the data will be, worst case, be something like 15000 data points.  Experiences/pointers/warnings will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    I don't see any method to add a slider, so manipulate the table is the way to go.  You could save the time it takes for the reading list reading it only once, at the beginning and adding to what your field evolves.  You can limit updates to occur no faster that the operator can enjoy.  If your data adds dozens of peaks in a fraction of a second, you could get away with adding them at once per second or more.
