Iomega StorCenter ix4 - 200 d rebuild failure

I have a StoreCenter ix4 - 200 d, which had a disk failure. I bought another disc with the same model number and I replaced the damaged drive. During the restart of the screen on the StoreCenter says "disk 1 requires overwrite confirmation", but when I go to the dashboard, there is no confirmation message, and he has not lost all records storage and shows 0 stored data.

It sounds like the raid/pool failed. If you retrieved the data and not concerned about this on the NAS, you can try a factory reset. It is data destructive but should rebuild your raid and allow you to use it again.

    Hello

I just bought this NAS with a version of cloud is not installed and I want to update the firmware more recent.

I spoke with tech support and they were not able to help me to reverse this problem.

I hope someone has a work around to return this NAS to or to the new firmware.

    Thank you in advance.

    mfredo,

If it was a Cloud Edition device and this happened after an update of the firmware, the only way to restore it would be Imaging it.

I recommend re - contact you local support and stating that this happened during a firmware update and asks the imager.

  • Iomega StorCenter ix2-200

I had the ix2 for a while, it worked perfectly. Once before, one of the drives has failed and I got a replacement of Iomega. Reconciled unity drives and everything was fine. Since then the camera has worked flawlessly again so far.

During the last two weeks, the player became undetectable on the network of one of the two computers in the sharing network. The white light on the front flashes constantly. There is no indication that the drive is alive. I removed the disc and individually attempted to find any content on them. There are two partitions on each, but I can't get windows 7 to read on the part of the partitions. I don't know how they are formatted.

(Or both) installed in the ix2, still just white light flashes on relentlessly. With no disc in the ix2, the light still flashes. Press and hold the power or reset button and power cycling the unit have no effect of the flashing light.

What can I do? I have just the scrap drive and say good bye to my data?

    ARK,

You will need to contact a professional data recovery service if you need data from these readers.

The only thing that we can do that could get the NAS to start in the situation you describe is destructive data.

  • Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 how automatically save everything on the NAS to my external HARD drive?

Hey, I have a WD 3 TB my book around the pose I want to connect to my IX2-200 and use the external hard drive to automatically back up everything that's stored on my NAS.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you.

Not sure wheter ix2 is able to work with > 2 TB is spread over its USB ports, but normally you would create a copy job that contains "all directories".

If your ix2 doesn't detect your USB, try to repartition your drive USB-2 to + 1 TB

I recently got this unit and want to update to the latest version of the firmware but I get an error message stating that "this update applies only to version 2.1.31 and more.»

Try to upgrade to version 2.1.42.18967 - I think that it is the most recent?

    Hi Danp_Vic,

    If your StorCenter ix4 - 200 d runs a version lower than 2.1.31, you need to update using the ix4-200 d-ix4-200 d - 2.1.38.22294.tgz before the update to 2.1.42.18967.

  • Iomega IX4 - 200 d - Boot Loop

    Hello.

    Hello.

We currently have an Iomega IX4 - 200 d that is stuck on a loop of Boot Logo Iomega.

I have posted a youtube video showing the issue in order to provide a better explanation.

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=aGLS5HfHPLM

The unit worked perfectly well and all the sudden we noticed that we had any access to the content.

At the time that I arrived at the unit, it's this way.

Content have already been recovered using a machine linux, and now the 4 HARD drives have been tested and are 100% functional.

We tried a few methods found on internet, HARD drive partitions were removed and all, but we just can't get the device to work.

    Any help is welcome.

    Best regards
    Paulo brine.

  • Replacement of hard drives NAS Pro StorCenter ix4-200r 2.1.48.30125

    Hi all

I need your help with replacement of disks problem

I have an Iomega StorCenter Pro NAS ix4-200r (Firmware 2.1.48.30125) installed originally with 4 x 1 TB of hard drives.
I had to replace a faulty drive, and on this occasion, I replaced 4 disks, one at a time at WD 2 TB SATA - WD20EFRX.

My questions are the system will start after reboot?

How can I make the system to use all available capacity (almost 6 to)?

When I look at the folders I can still see the original capacity (about 2.7 TB)
However when I look at disk management I see 1.8 to 4 disks each.

    Thank you

    Michael

    Hello micshe,

After an upgrade of capacity, you must perform a reset of factory from the user interface in order to force a rebuild and prepare the SIN to use the extra space.

  • Replace HARD drive in ix4 - 200 d with 4 No 3 TB drives

I just traded all four 2 TB HDD in my iomega with 3 TB Seagate NAS drives. It was RAID 5 and I swapped each three days. All reconstructions of data protection took place without a hitch.

I was expecting when I replaced the fourth drive capacity would increase from 5.4 to about 8.1 but he didn't not. It shows all the hard drives 3 drives to and total size TB 10.9 but just under that number on the same page, total capacity is still only 5.4 and NAS still 90% full.

I tried to restart, but no change.

All my data is backed up on my Synologies, but after taking the time to rebuild the data on the iomega RAID and not to lose, I would rather unload everything if I can avoid it.

Pls advise. What should I do next?

    Hi Niko-Lenovo,

What version of the firmware on your ix4 - 200 d? You may need to do a factory reset of the web interface, which is destructive of data. When replacing all readers to improve the storage capacity, usually data are saved and removed from the unit, then transferred to the unit after the upgrade. Please see: upgrade storage capacity for an ix-series network storage device

    Hello world!

I can't manage to stop my ix4 - 200 d which is frozen (impossible to access data or the web interface). Using the button before turning off does not at all, even if I continued pushing on it for 30 seconds.

Is there only the solution of unplugging the power cable? The last time I did, one disc was missing after reboot... :-(

    Thanks for any help!

  • Iomega StorCenter ix2 Network Storage Cloud Edition upgrade 3.0.9

    Hello world

I have an Iomega StorCenter ix2 Network Storage Cloud Edition (ix2-200).

The NAS is currently leading the 3.0.9 software, which is the version it comes with.

The 'upgrade' button in the web interface does nothing, while the NAS should be able to run the 4.1 software being a "Cloud Edition".

Can someone tell me the procedure to upgrade the 3.0.9 software for the latest possible?

    See you soon,.

    Filippo

Nope. I know that you won't be able to pass the 'border' 3.2.6 join .x:

  • ix4 - 200 d IP problem

After spending a whole day trying to figure this issue out, I gave up to do what I don't know. I recently got an ix4 - 200 d from a friend. When I booted up the SIN for the first time that everything works as it should. The other day I moved and takes the SIN with me to my new location, now the thing starts fine, but no matter how to configure networks setting - after it restarts the software the setting looked back the default values (169.254.x.x). The only time I can have access to this device is if I plug directly on it with a crossover cable and install a network of Point 2 Point with her. There are several people who relay on this NAS for their use of personal storage and without my network came to a screeching halt. What should I do to get it working properly again? Here's what I've done so far: reset the NAS via the restart button powered down the NAS and held the button for 30 secs linked directly in NAS via splitter cable manually the IP address and gateway to the 192.168.X.X network pull on all disks in and started the downloaded NAS Lenovo Solution Manager - only to find out that I can't find the SIN at all. Connect the NAS directly on the router which has the internet connection - which is the same router, it was initially attached to when I arrived the SIN at this point that I am totally lost on what to do next. Someone please help!

Resolved - the NAS reset randomly and all parameters were back the way they were... Not my problems

    Hi all

I would like to know if there is a way to put an encryption of files within the NAS, not only the SSL protocol in the communication.

    Thank you all

    tstcweb,

I looked in the manual for the device:
    http://download.Lenovo.com/nasupdate/manuals/ix4-200d_cloud/ix4-200d_en_us.PDF

And it doesn't seem like there is no way to encrypt the data using native firmware.
