iOS 10.1 (Notes App) cannot access local notes

Just upgraded iPhone 6s more iOS 10.1 of the latest version of iOS 9.x.x

Used Notes app all the time without ever upgrade to iCloud version.

Notes were always stored locally.

Never signed in iCloud for Notes app.

Now after the upgrade to iOS 10.1 I am unable to access my notes.

Whenever I start the application notes I'm only given the opportunity to UPGRADE NOTES.

How do I access my local notes?

Can't update my notes to send to the cloud.

Never received the memo that I loose the access to my notes after upgrading to iOS 10.1 without upgrade to iCloud.

To the best of my knowledge, the upgrade does not require that you store your notes to iCloud. It updates of features such as the ability to add documents, photos, etc. As long as you turned off in the settings of Notes > iCloud, they should continue to be stored locally.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "Cannot access local files" error when syncing with Outlook

I have an old BlackBerry Bold 9780 which works well. However, just yesterday, I started getting a "Cannot access local files" error when you try to use BB Desktop to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook 2016. I uninstalled and reinstalled the BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1, but the problem persists. There is no error when using Outlook or other aspects of synchronization in BB Desktop.

I am running 64-bit Windows 10 on my desktop computer. I got no synchronization issues in the past until yesterday. To my knowledge, nothing has changed.

A Google search for the error message returns questions posted on several different forums, but there is no clear solution given.

The problem seems to be in Outlook, rather than with the BlackBerry Desktop, at least in my case. I solved it by repairing my Microsoft Office installation. For most versions of Office, this is accomplished by going to the list of programs installed in the Control Panel, highlight and right-click on the desktop and select the option to repair or change.

  • Apps cannot access the images after 9.3.2

Until recently I had not being updated in a very long time and noticed that some applications I tried needed updates higher than mine, so I did and now none of my apps can access my images. When I try to get a picture it will show all my images for a few seconds and then crash, referring me to the home page. I tried it on several applications, some of which have had recent updates and they all have the same put end. is there a possible fix, or do I just wait and hope the next software update works?

The only application that I can successfully get to work on images is message, as far as I've seen.

  • Cannot access local disk c after the healing of the bone!

I recently did a system recovery using the CD provided by the manufacturer, and after that I could not access my main C: partition directly, although I could type the address of a folder in C: into the address such as "C:\Program Files\" bar and access it normally but when I double click the icon in my computer I get an error that says "C:\ is not accessible. Hello mohamed090909,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I'll first see if you have a system restore point to restore from before you couldn't access C:\.
Use the following steps from the article below:
936212 KB - how to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212

If you do not have a restore point available system, then look at the permissions at the root of C:\. You will have to take possession of the root and all
records and then possibly to set permissions to read all files.
It is a good tutorial for the ownership and file permissions.
    http://www.vista4beginners.com/change-permissions-take-ownership

Go to your C:\ drive and check the security permissions.

System and administrators: to allow for the following permissions:
    Change
    Read & Execute
    Content of the file
    Read
    To write

Users: To allow for the following permissions
    Loan & run
    Content of the file
    Read

    Authenticated users - special permissions

Note that when you take possession of the files you need to disconnect then
log on or restart the computer before you can modify the permissions.

You could also do a upgrade in place to repair the operating system, but you don't need an installation DVD disc and not an OEM recovery disk.

If please reply back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem or if you still need help.

    Sincerely,
    Marilyn

  • Network sharing - cannot access local share of localhost on public IP - wrong password

Hello. I have a PC that has a shared folder. This PC (A) a public static IP 192.168.1.1. This (A) PC, I try to access \\192.168.1.1 and it works fine.

This PC (A) has a public IP 1.2.3.4 (roads of firewall on the router on 192.168.1.1 points). I can access both \\192.168.1.1 and \\1.2.3.4 of any PC on the network. Form (A) PC trying to access \\1.2.3.4 - he asks user name and password. After you have entered the correct user name and password it goes back to the connection with the error box that username or password is incorrect. I tried to enter user name & password of every user on this PC (A). I see that it selects the correct user (because of avatar), but don't always accept password. Of course, the same credentials works fine on any PC on the network. Password sharing out of switching does not work - it is still asking for password. There are Windows 7 Professional installed on PC (A).

EDIT: I can't access from outside LAN network using \\1.2.3.4. Disable the firewall does not help. I have access to the remote desktop on 1.2.3.4 without problem.

  • Cannot access local data store after the upgrade to build 158869

I've been running ESXi 3.5 on a Dell Optiplex GX620 (A07 BIOS, a single SATA hard drive) for a few months now.  This morning, I applied the update version 158869 in the system with the Infrastructure Update and rebooted, it.  In the Infrastructure of the customer, I now get a banner stating "VMware ESX Server has no persistent storage" and I'm unable to access the local storage on the system.  I have tried rebooting, changing the SATA operation mode and a rescan for new devices storare and VMFS volumes, all nothing will do.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get the server to see the data again, store or otherwise, what would be the best way to mount the drive in another system and copy virtual machines off of it?

Welcome to the VMware community forums.  See if that helps - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/no_persistent_storage_after_upgrade.php.

  • Browsers & Apps cannot connect to the Internet

IE, Firefox, and Chrome all report a problem when I try to load web pages. Apps cannot access the internet (for example when looking for updates).

    • IE reports: "cannot display this page".
    • Firefox reports: ' unable to connect - Firefox can't establish a connection to the server... ". »
    • Reports of chrome: "unable to access the network."

I have a NAS on my home network, and even if Windows Networking and Sharing Center can 'see' the SIN, browsers cannot access.

In the command prompt window, I can ping a number of web sites.

It comes to my son the laptop which is an Acer Aspire 7750 G-6645 running Windows 7. The problem has been known on his home wi-fi, my home wi-fi and when it is wired to my router.

I tried the following without success (many of whom are in this troubleshooting thread):

    1. Exact date/time;
    2. Check that the proxy servers are disabled;
    3. Install and run MalwareBytes (no viruses were found, and all the puppies have been quarantined).
    4. Disable Windows Firewall;
    5. Winsock Reset.
    6. Empty DNS;
    7. Specific modification of the DNS server to the IP address settings.

I hope that someone can suggest additional troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you

    Mike

    I could solve the problem.

Norton Internet Security has been altered. Although he was not running, it is somehow preventing Internet connections.

After you uninstall NIS, everything works fine. NIS is now re-installed and everything is working again.

  • Cannot access the Media folder via App IOS Readycloud

I have a RN204 4.6.2 running in an OSX system which will not allow access to the Media folder via the IOS app on iPhone or iPad. I can access the media folder via the ReadyCloud portal or the finder on MAC without problem, but the IOS App shows "Access Denied" and requests user & password, which, when entered, does not. I can access all other folders via the application, just not the media folder. Permissions are set the same as the other issues so I'm not sure what the question is that if she's Readycloud app for IOS. I guess the user & password requested is for NAS, although I tried the credientals of Readycloud just for fun but no help. As a note, I don't get "Connection failed" but "Access Denied", so the network access is OK but access to the file is doesn't understand why all other folders are accessible but not the media folder. And that's on both VPN connections & local. Any ideas?

OK, get it fixed. I have changed the name of the folder, allowed full access, then he changed the name of moose. Now I can access the folder via the ios app. I'll have to rescan the actions in my media streamer, but to the East, I now access app.

  • Cannot access PC settings, Apps installs not opening and closing, updates

So... i started with a connection internet dropout. No matter how many times I've selected automatically connects it kept being changed. Used scans etc, found nothing. The problem then grew a slower connection and browser. I use IE and Opera. Opera is my default. A few days later I can't open all the apps without them immediately close it before they were properly open. I can't access PC to change the settings. I tried various solutions of MS and other Malware software. Both have had some effect, but not resolved the issue. I can now open apps, limited reach 95% of the installation of an update of windows instead of 0%, have the automatic internet connection... still have slow service, part 3 and MS preinstalled apps cannot be opened and no access to notebook settings.

Somewhere along the way 20 + new apps appeared, all administrative tools.

With steam, it happens 100% of the time when he tries to update. I am trying to troubleshoot with them, but I strongly suspect that there is an underlying problem related to Windows. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

It may be relevant that all my files have the blob (not checked) in the box 'read only '.

There has been no recent changes to my computer.
