IOS 10 is compatible with iTunes 12.2.2?

My MacBook is old, and the last Mac OS can I run 10.7, which means that the last version of iTunes that I can run is 12.2.2. This allows to work with my iPad without problem from the Air, but never worked with my iPhone IS initially provided with iOS 9.

The iPad don't often synchronize with my MacBook as it backs up from iCloud, but I wanted to put a few audio tracks on it. I tried today and it does not work. I get an error message "iTunes could not connect to the iPad" * iPad "because an invalid response was received from the device."

I get the same messages with my iPhone SE. My guess now is the iOS 10 did update my MacBook even more obsolete by not being able to sync with my iPad. I searched around and can't find any configuration required for iTunes for iOS 10, so I'm not 100% it is the case.

Is there any solution for this? Or is my correct guess, that iOS 10 is not compatible with iTunes 12.2.2?

In addition, if it is not compatible, if someone has a solution of how to get music from my MacBook on my iPad (I noticed Amazon Music allows me to download tracks and then download them on my iPad, but with a limit) then I would appreciate if you could share!

Thank you

I'm afraid you're right. IOS10 requires iTuses 12.5

As workaround solutions, I'm sorry, I don't have. I'm not a mac I have sync music on.

But maybe someone else can help you

  • IOS 9.2 allow iPod Touch to be used with iTunes 9.11?

iPod Touch running IOS 9.0.2 cannot be used with iTunes 11.4 on a MacBook with OS X 10.6.8.  9.2 IOS solves this problem?  (Cannot downgrade to IOS 8).

It is not a problem to solve.

9 IOS and above is not compatible with iTunes 11 and there is no reason to believe that he will never be.

You must update your iTunes on your computer and your operating system on your computer, if your computer is fairly new to upgrade the software.

im running 12.1.3 - the latest edition of "known" compatible with win xp

I have an iphone 4S running current ios 9.3.1

Info for itunes 12.3.3 page said in effect update for XP, but the info sys req/software gives no indication.

Anyone have xp and know if I should update?

    2 sidenotes:

~ I updated itunes the last time (as prescribed by my itunes) and had to call apple as the update was not compatible with xp or my phone. and my phone would no longer synchronized, I had the chance to reach a tech that helped me to solve this problem quickly and had to be routed to another update.

~ I'd like to update my phone to the new 6 s, but if its is no longer compatible with my xp/itunes is useless I'll lose all my music capabilities of transfer etc., is there a way to get around this, or the 6s will work with my current/xp version since im running ios 9.3 on my 4S and it made? I am not financially able to update my computer and for what I use for this great short is.

Update from Apple system is broken in that it offers 12.3.3 as valid version on Windows XP.  Supported on Windows XP (or Vista) has been removed when Apple iTunes 12.2 released last year.  The latest (and certainly last) version in support of XP is 12.1.3.6 - this is an out-of-sequence of September 2015 version that adds support for iOS devices 9, but has no music to Apple and other features added in iTunes, 12.2 and 12.3.  Links for the installer:

This, however, will not be a solution in the long term as its very little unlikely that Apple will release more updates to support the new features of iOS on old Microsoft OSs.  Any PC running under that Windows XP is likely to be exceeded its operational life and (even reversing the vulnerabilities to viruses and other malware) is going to be prone to failures of major equipment - hard drives and power supplies in particular.

  • 10.8.5 OS is compatible with iOS 9?

I looked for an answer with no joy so thought I would post this quick question here.

OS x10.8.5 is compatible with iOS 9.3? I want to buy the new iPhone SE but worry I'm having problems with my current iMac 10.8.5, iTunes 12.2 configuration.

Much appreciated if someone could point me to the correct support document.

    Thanks in advance.

Your operating system is compatible with the iPhone, but you will probably need to install iTunes 12.3.

  • iOS on iPod Touch 5g 9 works with iTunes 10.7?

    * sigh * it's hard when something needs to be changed and that means that everything else could fall like dominoes!

Had to give up my iPod ooooold and now I am looking to buy a used iPod Touch 5th generation, but I need to be sure that it can work with the iTunes on my Mac.

I don't know if it's the material that must be compatible (in which case any occasion 5 g will be fine for me) or the iOS?

I know that the 5g would work with iTunes 10.7 initially, but as I understand it, the iOS is automatically upgraded to 9.x when the 'old' is wiped out and restarted... so can a used 5g with iOS 9 works for me, or I'm stuck?

(And if I'm stuck, is a 4 used old enough that he will not automatically at level that far?)

The last iOS, 9.2.1 requires iTunes 112,3 or later.

For a Mac mean OSX 10.8.5 or later version.

For a PC Win 7 or later

  • I upgraded my iPhone iOS 9 and now it does not connect with iTunes

I have a 4 s now with iOS 9. (I now use strictly just for music)

My version of iTunes is 11.4 and my Macbook OS X 10.6.8

It is an old computer and is not compatible with the newer OS X are available.

My iTunes suggested that updating my iphone to ios 9 so I was for it, but now I just get the message

"The iPhone is useless because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. "

So I go to the site and I can't download the latest version of iTunes because it is not compatible with the OS X version I have (and am stuck with)

My real question I guess is how Devil can I just the older ios back on my phone?

I tried to restore etc and no luck. Any help is appreciated because I suck.

You're out of luck.  For use with iOS iTunes 9, you need at least OS X 10.8.5.

You can't get an older version of the iOS either.  If you must live without using iTunes with your iPhone, or get a newer computer.

  • cannot sync with itunes 12.2.5 10 iphone ios

    Hello

I left the iOS 10 update happens on my iPhone 5.  I use an old 10.7.5 iMac to do all the backups of my iDevice.  Now, if I connect the phone to the iMac and click the button 'Trust The Computer' on the phone, iTunes 12.2.5 says "invalid response received from the device" and does not connect to it.

10 iOS devices work is no longer with iTunes 12.2.5?  It's obviously the last version that will run on OSX 10.7.5.  So I will now upgrade my computer at home because I upgraded my phone software.

What a pain in the *.

    Hello

I'm afraid you will have to upgrade your OS X to 10.9.5 or newer to allow you to use iTunes 12.5.1 that supports iOS 10.
