  It's great that you bring to your question on the deletion of all of your messages in the Mail application after installing iOS 10.  I know that whenever I update things may look and act a little differently, so I'm happy to help you resolve this issue.

  Follow these instructions and you should be able to delete all messages in a folder.

  1. Open the Mail application
  2. Select the mail folder that you want to empty
  3. in the upper right corner, tap on change
  4. at the bottom, you should see Mark All and delete everything in blue
  5. Select Delete all and it will ask you again, all delete or cancel
  6. Select Delete all and it will remove all the email in this folder

  It seems that after upgrading your iPhone 5 c to 10 iOS, the Mail app is not displayed to e-mail individual records of account which can be extended. I use it often myself, so I'll be happy to help you.

  When I open the Mail app, mine defaults to "All inboxes" and I type "Mailboxes" on the top left. In the next screen, I find 'All boxes' and a list of my email accounts.   Same question, very exasperating.  I noticed one thing was that if you delete the account and start over, shared folders are there, at least initially.  If you leave the app and come back later, they are gone.  I suspect that a prefix is stored in the application state that prevents later shared folders to be seen.  I noticed that other applications also have problems, see the shared folders, including by aircraft and shipping, though.  I really liked having access to those from before this update - difficulty please!

  You should be able to move your cursor to the top of the screen and the menu bar will fall.  So, you start with

  

  Drag the slider to the top of the screen against the edge and hold that and you should see

  

  Click the button of "green".  This should take you out of mode full-screen Mail.

  Command + control + F should do it too.

  Also when you have the cursor at the top of the screen and the menu bar comes down, you could also use Mail-> view-> full screen output

  You should also be able to use the command + Tab to switch to another application

  I had a problem with Mail crashing several times today and was close to restore my phone but am happy that I stumbled upon a solution until I did it!

  I had a problem this morning with the Mail App unexpectedly crashing when opening on my 5s iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 (last updated).

  In case someone knows something similar, I found a solution that was remarkably easy.

  Trying to open a mail, the app would show the display of messages for a fraction of a second, and then the crash. Nothing worked - quit smoking and a retry of the app, reboot / hard re-boot of the iPhone, leave all specific applications, disabling of e-mail accounts, settings etc.. I was beginning to think that I have to do a hard system restore, but thank God I have not, as it is a major PITA and I found the unexpected solution.

  In any case, I noticed that I could get in Mail by opening one of my emails from the Notification screen. Everything seemed fine, but if I close this message to return to the main window of Mail, the application crashed once more. The main window is appeared to be the culprit. I noticed that several new Spam messages were visible on this screen this morning.

  You could also try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. You may need to search the mail pane covering scribbles to the left. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

  In.app->-> your server settings, you can change the location of the Service data. This gives you the advantage of option two, while remaining compatible Server.app/serveradmin.

What I want is to move all messages in local folders and get rid of the old count IMAP.
