iOS 10 Mail app - threads are impossible to read with style answer-everything Outlook (without quotes)

Outlook and the Mail app both old showed you a list of e-mails in a thread; If you want to dive to an email, you must click on this email.

The new view of thread is essentially impossible to use now, since there is no view that shows each email in a list. Instead, if reply - all on your e-mail service does not add to citing it vertically and mark a horizontal line between the contextual emails, you end up seeing the WHOLE thread in each individual e-mail. It's 100% fine if you also have a vision where you can see every email truncated in a list. But this is no longer the case.

I'm going to have to cut the wires completely from my computer (Outlook) is impossible for me to read in the current state.

100% behind you! Please Apple, can we have an option to make the threads as they were in the iOS 9? It was actually a useful feature. In iOS 10, it is completely impossible / a lot of your time!

Even if the quirks have been developed and e-mails would collapse correctly it is always not very useful when you have long filaments (which, when you use mail app for email to work can happen in the course of a single day with 20-30 + emails).

  • iTunes App updates are no longer sync with iPhone

I'm in iOS 9.2 on my iPhone and iTunes 12.3.2.35 64-bit on Windows 10 Pro.  It was that when I updated my apps on the iPhone and then sync the phone with iTunes, applications would be update automatically in iTunes and then appears in the Recycle Bin, ready to remove older versions of applications.  In this case is no longer, so now I have to update the applications on the iPhone and iTunes separately if I want to update Apps in both.  What is the purpose of this?  Why double our efforts?  I tried to update Apps in iTunes first and then running synchronization.  Applications updates appear then to be transferred to the iPhone while sync ("transfer Apps... 1 of 4... [Application name] "), but then when I finished the sync and see the updated section of the applications in the App Store on the iPhone, they always appear not updated, with a red circle on the App Store icon indicating the number of applications that need to be updated, and the word"Update"still alongside the Apps in question in the updated App Store section.  What gives?

In addition, in iTunes, in the [my iPhone] / Summary / Apps section, I used to see all of my Apps in the left column, but see only 20 of them.  All 100 + Apps are still displayed on the right-hand side of the screen, which reflects the layout of my iPhone windows, but I discovered that, in order to restore all applications in the left column, I had to go to my account name in iTunes at the top of iTunes then click on purchase and then re-download applications.  Why on Earth?  They who don't take up much room on my SSD and they are already on the iPhone, so there is no saving space on the iPhone by showing only not all applications in the left column, so what gives?  What's the point?

Please return to the process where when I sync my iPhone my Apps are updated automatically in iTunes.  Why do you do the doubly difficult process?  And, what's now the sync at all, if I don't have photos or new playlists or something like that on my machine I want to synchronize with the iPhone?  There is no synchronization, then, and so unless I have no particular reason to synchronize then I don't be backup versions of the database of the iPhone on my machine on a regular basis!  Apple, you get an Apple rotten to me!  I thought you were all make tech easier to use, more confused!

A feature introduced with iOS 9 called thinning or slicing app app allows each device to download just the code and resources required by this device, resulting in smaller downloads and a better use of the storage on the device. Therefore the device is no longer the universal version of the application that can be installed on any device to transfer applications is no longer supported. I hope that Apple will bring some changes to how it works, but in the meantime, you can download past purchases from iTunes or activate the automatic shopping app downloads to ensure that iTunes has always the apps you want on your device. As long as you make sure that all of the apps are present and updates in iTunes before you attempt a restore there should be no loss of data. I cannot confirm, but it seems a way to recent update all data are restored and apps that are not in the library are waiting to download from the iTunes Store over Wi - Fi, in a similar way to the restoration of the iCloud way works.

  • iOS 10 mail app move all / trash all

I just upgraded my iPad to iOS 10 2 Air.  It seems as if the move "all" and "trash all" feature has been removed from the mail application.  When I discovered one of my inboxes (I have the iCloud accounts and gmail), and tap edit, only 'Mark All' is enabled.  'Move' and 'Archive' (gmail) / "Basket" (iCloud) is both greyed out.

In iOS all 9 (still installed on my iPhone), 'move' and 'Archives All' (gmail) / 'Trash All' (iCloud) are activated when I hit Edit in each Inbox.

Apple has removed this feature in iOS 10 or changed the way it is implemented?

I see the same question.  I have an email account that sends security updates.  I get hundreds of them, and I do not have ' t need all of read them.  In iOS 9, I was able to "trash all" of them.  No, I am on iOS 10 function disappeared.  Please bring back this feature

  • iOS 10 mail, lack of top-level

    The problem:

In iOS 9, there was a list of top level of e-mail accounts. We could tap one, which would be a level in and display the tree view of the folders for the e-mail account. In iOS 10, for some reason, Apple dev seems to have deleted the first level as e-mail accounts separates. In place, they have stacked all email accounts on top of the other in one vertical line with no way to close the file trees. Anyone who uses the file trees to organize individual emails into categories and subcategories, and needs to have several emails, knows how much a nightmare this change is to navigate. It would be the same problem as if Apple has decided to remove the desktop Mac file browser bookmarks bar and then put all the files and subfolders in a long list in the viewer instead.

    Question:

Does anyone know how to get this higher level of e-mail accounts save?

Can anyone recommend a good mail app that I can replace mail from Apple with if there is no solution?

    Hey, Pataphysicist!

It seems that after upgrading your iPhone 5 c to 10 iOS, the Mail app is not displayed to e-mail individual records of account which can be extended. I use it often myself, so I'll be happy to help you.

When I open the Mail app, mine defaults to "All inboxes" and I type "Mailboxes" on the top left. In the next screen, I find 'All boxes' and a list of my email accounts. Just below but who is a grey area that lists the email represents once again, includes a right arrow to access this file tree. If you don't see it is troubleshooting to do. Check your mail application after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. Is better "" than "need."

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first of all, quit the mail application, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPhone settings - on your phone, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step will return your iPhone settings by default. Don't forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before finishing.

Be careful and please use the Apple Support communities.

  • Any way to transfer email and contacts TO win 8 Mail app?

I have a HD crashed from a pc Win 8. This woman had all his contacts and emails imported in the Win 8 Mail application. I know that need to recover those enslaved hard disk.

It is a first for me, anyone got it? I guess, I'm looking for a file and instructions on how to put it all once I find.

    Thank you...

    JF

Yes, the messages are stored on the PC, too, which is handy to know if you have an Exchange e-mail account set up and also if you want e-mails from backup, in which case simply copy them to the backup location.

The messages are saved in \AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_ALPHANUMERIC_STRING\LocalState\Indexed\LiveComm\ALPHANUMERIC_STRING\NUMERIC_STRING\Mail

Messages are saved as .eml files, so they can be opened e.g. with Office Outlook. Note that messages for each e-mail App account are stored in the folder of the own account. Folder names are not same as names account but rather numbered (hexadecimal). My main account (account login Windows 8) is 1, all account records have a folder name of two hexadigit.

  • I have an e-mail returned by the demon with the reason given as "over quota" what does that mean?

I got an e-mail that is returned by the demon with the reason given as "over quota" that mean?

Well, most ISPS and web-based e-mail providers have rules in place: some have attachments maximum file sizes, most have maximum rates for the number of recipients/how many emails per day. I had one that had a maximum bandwidth and would not deliver an email until tomorrow if I ended this day.

So check the terms of your email provider.

  • iOS 9.3.1 Mail App crashing on the main window - a SOLUTION. Can be linked to rogue/spam email

I had a problem with Mail crashing several times today and was close to restore my phone but am happy that I stumbled upon a solution until I did it!

I'll copy / paste of the other post I made on the discussion board:

I had a problem this morning with the Mail App unexpectedly crashing when opening on my 5s iPhone running iOS 9.3.1 (last updated).

In case someone knows something similar, I found a solution that was remarkably easy.

Trying to open a mail, the app would show the display of messages for a fraction of a second, and then the crash. Nothing worked - quit smoking and a retry of the app, reboot / hard re-boot of the iPhone, leave all specific applications, disabling of e-mail accounts, settings etc.. I was beginning to think that I have to do a hard system restore, but thank God I have not, as it is a major PITA and I found the unexpected solution.

In any case, I noticed that I could get in Mail by opening one of my emails from the Notification screen. Everything seemed fine, but if I close this message to return to the main window of Mail, the application crashed once more. The main window is appeared to be the culprit. I noticed that several new Spam messages were visible on this screen this morning.

So here's how I found the solution: my computer, I myself sent a priority email, which came on my screen of notifications. By using this link directly to open the message, Mail worked fine again. Then by using the arrows to zip directly from a message to a message, I worked my way through the new emails, including the unrecognized Spam I deleted. Once they were gone, I back-arrow in the main screen of Mail and Voila! No more crash.

So, apparently, there are messages that can crash the Mail app on iOS 9 simply by being visible in the main window. Be aware of this and if this happens to you, with Mail blocks instantly whenever you open it, try this approach before restoring your system software.

You could also try resetting your e-mail account. First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. You may need to search the mail pane covering scribbles to the left. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider and click on the account. On the next page, delete the account. Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.
