  • How to report bugs of rendering CSS browser WebView/BB?

    I have an app that bypasses the normally difficult radio button style html5 by cutting the real radio inside a rectangle 0,0,0,0, then using the CSS: before Pseudo selector to create a substitute radio button image using nothing more than CSS attributes. It works perfectly on every single desktop browser, I tested against (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera), each Android browser, I've tried (Chrome, Firefox, Opera) and the same Android browsers running on my Z10 via Cobalt (Chrome, Firefox, Opera), but on the browser BB10 and WebView (so-called WebKit based as Chrome and Opera) does not support the CSS style the : Pseudo-selector update to show that when the Group of option buttons has focus.

    This is an example of what a couple of radio buttons by using this technique looks like when they have not developed in the...

    When option buttons have the focus, it should look like this...

    But as I said, on the browser BB10 or WebView even with the development of radio buttons always look like the first example. On all other browsers (except iOS/Safari, which proves defective as browsers BB10) favouring option buttons look like the second example.

    Anyone where I can tell you something like that?

    In the immortal words of Emily Littela... never mind. Since the BB10 and WebView browser seem to ignore the: pseudo-selector developed, I thought that it was a CSS rendering problem, but it is not. The idea that led me to a solution, is that the same problem occurs on iOS Safari too. A little Google search on the oddities of Safari has revealed the real cause.

    It turns out that even if Safari, as the browser BB10 and WebView, are Webkit based, he manipulates not the focus of the element like all the other funds or Android mobile WebKit browsers. Based on certain types of HTML elements is not automatically set focus to this element. One of the element types that it affects is the radio input element that I use. Some devs online are speculating that avoids unnecessary popups of the keyboard to the iOS screen by typing some controls on a form, but does not say Apple.

    The solution is quite simple, just set the focus in the OnClick of the radio input element explicitly. In this way, by tapping the control will force the browser to focus control and if necessary: focus CSS will be applied...

    myRadioButton.focus();

    I use jQuery so my generic code to manage all the radio buttons to a page looks like this...

    $('input[type="radio"').click( function() {
        $(this).focus();
    });

    It is clear that BlackBerry browser and WebView work in the same way as iOS Safari because this code sets things there also. I don't know if someone else is bickering with this problem when you target the WebView or BB10 browser, but I thought I would post the solution, just in case.

  • Defective GarageBand after update to iOS 9.2 on iPad3

    Since I have updated to iOS 9.2 on my iPad 3 I was not able to read or save on GarageBand.  When I try to save a climax using my microphone, I hear a cracking sound.  I contacted peak about a week ago and have no solutions of their own.  Today, I thought I would try again.  When I started GarageBand I got a message saying "Core Audio is not available" when I try to play a GB project nothing happens.  The cursor of the track passes directly and I hear nothing. Here are the songs that I recorded before the 9.2 update.  Apple has a fix for this yet?

    Peak confirmed that an apogee does not work with Ios9.2 and they will advise registered users when they created a fix. Current position is only stable up to ios9.1

  • 10 IOS battery life issues

    Since the update to IOS 10 my battery percentage meter slept on 100% at all times. the only time where is the change is if im using the phone to play a game or something and it all of a sudden everything stops as his death. I plug it into a charger and it turns almost immediately and said my battery life is a kind of p 100, 40, 73, etc... I did a restore and it seems it will continue with the same question.  I followed all the steps to save the life of the battery and the problem still happens.  Help, please

    Try to download the app from the battery life which is available for free on the App Store. Check the battery with it and if defective, schedule an appointment in an Apple store for eventual replacement.

  • iOS 10 zoom causing the shift & blocking problem

    Hello

    I have several devices running iOS 10 ranging from a 5 iPad iPhone mini 4, to iPhone and iPad Air 2.  I noticed that when the zoom toggle in the settings is enabled (whether zoomed or not), I feel an enormous amount of lag, tactile and inaccurate affecting blocking problem.  No matter if I am completely zoom in or zoom out (double-tap with 3 fingers), a simple navigation creates all sorts of problems for me.  I will describe a few questions I meet below. ;

    (1) contact command will be sometimes not.  Even simple measures such as scrolling through the different pages on the homescreen to pinch to zoom in the image and Safari have problems

    (2) when zoomed in, many times, my button are inaccurate.  For example, a major problem that I have is that in the mail application.  If I drag to the left to remove an e-mail, I get sporadic movements.  In most cases, I have to slide slightly to the right of the line to do a full sweep.  In other cases, sometimes touching a button like 'OK' or by pressing another button would not register.  I may support slightly above, below, or around her to enroll.  It is extremely annoying.  In particular, I have this problem with my iPad 2 Air.  I'm leaning towards it being a defective scanner.

    Please note that when the zoom toggle is set to off in the settings app, I have no problem with delay or lack of response.

    Anyone else have this same problem?

    I'm having this same issue. Both on my iPhone and my iPad. The two running iOS 10 for now. The problem is not related to iOS 10 in my opinion, because I had this problem for awhile now.

    Affecting the zoom toggle OFF makes the question to go far, but of course that's not the solution. There is a reason why I need this feature to zoom. Deactivation of the zoom feature makes it very difficult for me to use my iPhone and iPad in some circumstances. So, I find myself constantly switch the zoom feature and LEFT. Very annoying. I hope that we will have a fix for it any time soon.

  • Is it necessary for 9.2.1 IOS users to install IOS 9.3.5 patch

    Is it necessary that the users of iphone that is running IOS 9.2.1 must install the 9.3.5 patch update which fixes a major security vulnerability or it is for users who have already updated to 9.3.4 IOS?

    Yes, if you correct the defect.

  • On iOS iPhone 5s 9.3.4 battery problems

    My phone knows since April 2016 (probably since iOS 9.2), severe battery drain issue. I tried everything under the Sun, including the decommissioning of location for all applications, to perform a complete reset (erase content and settings), show and restore minimal back (limited to basic iOS with no other applications other than those that are standard with the iOS) and the problem persists. My battery rest time is not more than 3 hours and the use of the phone ensures that my fully charged battery runs out in less than 2 hours. The diagnosis of the battery insert by online call center help on the Apple store revealed no defect with the battery.

    Feel completely disappointed with this product as it is just over 2 years and these problems with the battery. On the other hand, my daughter has an iPhone 4S for over 4 years and running the same version of iOS (9.3.4) had no problem with the battery either.

    I don't know what else to do now. Agent Apple at the shop suggested that I get a replacement phone (exact same model) for $400 /-even though he had no problem with the diagnosis of the battery.

    Any suggestions / solutions are welcome because I am about to throw this phone in the Lake! People buy Apple for its reliability, security, ease of operation, and its allure. If the operating system and the device are not going to be reliable, so why pay a premium for Apple when you can get a prettier search Android phone for a lot cheaper.

    Any ideas or help?

    Larry, the problem usually fixes iOS involve reset, restore from a backup and restore as a new. If your phone is opening random apps or the screen is also insensitive, it may be a sign of a defective digitizer and Apple store or authorized dealer must test. However, you can try the following steps in case it is an update of the iOS software corrupt.

    Try to hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

    If that doesn't help, try a system restore. First save your device via iTunes. Also import your photos on your computer and copy all the data if possible. Reconstruction of the support first test and test. If this does not help, you may need to restore as a new and reconfigure from scratch as the backup may be damaged. • iPad and iOS 10

    I will try and stay informed on the use of my Apple products. Read about the next version of iOS 10, expected soon, I have some questions that I thought better to ask some of the experts here:

    1. I have a 32GB WiFi iPad 3 model A1416. From what I see, this does not upgraded to iOS 10. Will this affect being able to update the apps? Developers are likely to follow the trial and is no longer updated for models behind Apple 'line '?
    2. If the model of the iPad does not allow a user to update, it will be a potential for risk to safety if continue to use iOS 9.3 going forward?
    3. With these conditions, do you think it would be a problem prevents the old model of the iPad? or do you recommend to sell? If the sale, where the (Apple recycling, Gazelle, etc.)?

    (1) you are right that it is incompatible with iOS 10. Developers will eventually begin creation or update applications that require iOS 10, as was the case for each previous version, but I suspect that it will take some time.

    (2) iOS 9.3.5 was released today to patch a security hole. If another such flaw apparent iOS 10 is released, then your iPad will remain vulnerable unless Apple has released an update for iOS 9. However, keep in mind that in most cases, these defects discovered are just conceptual, and there is usually no case of end users are victims of these defects. They also often require user interaction, so if you avoid suspicious links, etc. you can probably avoid these security breaches if they crop up, but they are very rare with Apple products.

    (3) in light of the above, it seems well to continue to use your current iPad, at least for a little long.

  • This cable or accessory is not certified popup while not connected iOS 9.3.4

    I've updated to 9.3.4 iOS on my iPhone 6 more this morning. Now, this afternoon, I get a popup every few minutes saying "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone." I'm not connected to a cable or accessory. Support Apple advises to do a hard reset, which I did. After a few minutes I received once again the context menu. Not plugged into anything.

    Never received that message before today. The only thing I know that has changed is the software update 9.3.4 (G 13, 35).

    Similar experiences please mark as I have this issue too. I saw another post here, a user with an iPhone 5 with this exactly the same problem.

    Kind regards

    Charles Cavanaugh

  • IPhone 6 - iOS 9.3.4 battery problem

    Hello.

    I own an iPhone running iOS 9.3.4 6. I was faced with a critical problem with my battery since iOS 9.3.2 was released.

    The unit will stop on its own, as if she had no power on his drums, the same battery known still have 30 to 40% of power left to left. As soon as it reaches anything below 50% on the battery indicator, it will automatically die and display this sign "iPhone must reload", the unit turns not again unless I plug it into a power cable and then it will turn on and display the same amount of battery that it was display before shutting.

    The question began all of a sudden as soon as I upgraded to iOS 9.3.1 9.3.2 iOS and it has happened since then. I have upgraded to iOS 9.3.3 hoping Apple will have fixed and just yesterday when upgrading to iOS 9.3.4 but it is still happenning.

    I tried everything I could possibly: starting the device, restart the device, restore using a previous backup, restore without iTunes backup and the device itself.

    Finally, I was beginning to think, it was a problem with my hardware, but it was not likely to be that, as the issue began suddenly and I also found a lot of topics on internet forums from other users that they have exactly the same problem.

    I took a whole day last week to deliver the device to a store Apple, through Genius Bar. The Apple employee ran two tests on my device, one for battery and one for its motherboard. He told me then that my device was quite good, battery and the Commission were diagnosed to be ok. He then told me that they had just received an email from Apple saying that iOS 9.3.3 had this problem and it was a bug and users must wait for the next update that fixed it. That's what I was doing but yesterday iOS 9.3.4 came out, and the question remains which happens to me.

    I have no guarantee more, so I don't know what to do. Apple will not confirm this problem and I'm not starting to doubt that the Apple employee told me to receive an email from Apple about this bug in iOS.

    Does anyone know what I can do? I just want my device works as it should.

    Thanks in advance.
