IP addresses of the network editor VMWare correspond to what is in the Windows network connections

I use VMWare Workstation 10.0.5 build-2443746 in a host Windows 7 x 64. In the VMWare network Editor, I see three cards:

VMnet0 - filled

VMnet1 - host (subnet 192.168.190.0)

VMnet8 - NAT (subnet 192.168.18.0)

When I consider these same cards in Windows in the area of network connections and click on each TCP/IPv4 properties there addresses on different subnets for VMnet1 and VMnet8. I do not understand this, shouldn't the subnets to be identical to what is in the VMWare network Editor?

It is indeed strange. What you can try to do - to find out if this is due to a problem of permission/UAC - is to launch the virtual network editor in the Start Menu "Administrator" to see what happens if you change one of the networks, or click the butoon "Restore Default".

    Hi kattfenom,

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

    Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

    Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

    A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2: If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

    After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

  • Why the Windows Vista client gets the IP address of the Windows SBS 2011 as default DNS server?

    I use Windows Vista on a client computer that is connected to our Windows Server SBS 2011 server. I don't want to use the DNS server on the local server and the DNS addresses are automatically collected on our router. Every time I have to restart my computer or disconnect / reconnect the connection to the local network, the default DNS server address is set back to static and has the IP address of the local server, which makes it much slower DNS specifications.

    Can I disable this automatic update of address of DNS server somehow? In fact, I don't want to run a DNS server on the local server.

    Thank you to inform in advance!

  • Iconia W510 hold the Windows to connect does not

    I have a W510 Iconia, I just put in place. I guess that after some windows updates the home screen has changed because now it's asking me to "and hold down Windows button and press the button to connect.» When I turned on the tablet before I could just slide the screen up and present the login screen. I do not have a keyboard with this tablet, and I can't get the sign on screen to display. No matter how I try, by pressing the Windows and then pressing the power button does nothing. Is there a way to get around this?

    Nevermind, I solved this. This is another way to say press ctrl + alt + delete to connect. I had to use the ease of access on the Welcome screen to bring up a keyboard on the screen, and then press ctrl + alt + delete keyboard on the screen to bring up the login screen.

  • Where is the address OF the window in my mail?

    It seems that after I did the last update (10.11.4) I have more a "send FROM" window in my mail.  So that means, I can't choose which email address I use to send an email to someone.

    I really need to fix this - I use some addy for specified purposes and not confuse them!  AND I subscribed to use e-mail with a specific address groups, so a group in need of photos I took cannot bring them up to what this problem is fixed.  They needed to post these pix yesterday!  UGH!

    Any help that you can share will be terrible - thanks in advance!

  • Get the IP address of the client from the view

    I have a code that uses the API well established WTSQuerySessionInformation() (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa383838 (VS.85) .aspx) call, through the argument of WTSClientAddress, to retrieve the IP address of the client that is connected to an RDP session.

    When this code is executed in a View (on XP SP3) session, it still returns 127.0.0.1 rather than the IP address of the client that connects to the session of the view. If I disconnect the session View and reconnect to the same user via a console RDP session and then the IP address of the client is successfully returned. With the help of the WTSClientName argument to return customer name always returns the name of correct client that the session is connected via RDP or the customer to view.

    Anyone got any ideas how to retrieve the IP address of the client please? No doubt must be mailed to a community developer, but I can't find really relevant.

    What is happening because of the tunnel from the view, because only in tunnel mode, the RDP control connects to 127.0.0.1 (on the client side) and the socket connection then integrated on the remote side. Session information are filled with the information provided by the RDP client, where the difference.

    We intend to address this issue in a future version of VMware View by providing various information on the client address environment variables available in the RDP session, including the client's real IP, for example:

    ViewClient_Broker_Remote_IP_Address = 1.2.3.4

    ViewClient_Broker_Tunneled = false

    ViewClient_Broker_URL =https://broker.foo.com:443

    ViewClient_IP_Address = 5.6.7.8

  • The part of the address of the message writing window TB can cause its own adjustable frame in size as in previous versions of TB?

    In older versions of TB the part of the address of the message entry window had its own adjustable chassis. It was useful that you could develop the image to see all addresses at a time and avoid errors of sending emails to the wrong people, especially when you reply to all and to remove some addresses for example answering users in the company, excluding visitors to learn sensitive information.

    In the recent release you can only see three lines of e-mail addresses and use the scroll bar to see the rest of them, but you may miss the addresses during scrolling up/down. He needs more time to verify that the necessary addresses are there and it is not effective at all.

    Can someone restore the setting of the address in the window of writing? Is there a plan to change this in future versions?

    Please note that I use Thunderbird on Windows XP platform

    Yes! Just below the slider bar formatting changes and you can increase the size of the email address area to see more addresses.

    However, I liked the old style better which was more intuitive. Anyway, there is a way to do the job.

    Thank you very much!

  • Where is the Panel of connections?

    I bought a download version of Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 to the OEM Soft store in October 2009 - it installed and ran ok.  I used a lot, but assuming multiple functions of the website, I just gritted my teeth and and use it more frequently.  When I click on file, share my screen... I get this popup.  On the side from Dreamweaver is the Panel containing the local files and remote - I guess it's the connections Panel.  I've been everywhere and impossible to find something that says 'offline option.  In addition, when I click on the window, Extensions, connections I get an another popup that says: "your software has not been activated, and yet I did it more than two years ago.DWPopUp.jpg

    I use PS CS5.

    I finally found a copy of the DW CS4 and window > Extensions > connections is different from CS5.

    Using CS4 I reproduced the error message in your first post when I tried to use share my screen in offline mode.

    Using the DW CS4 connections Panel (window > Extensions > connections), I clicked on the little icon in the upper RIGHT (just below the X) and got the flyout.

    Uncheck the box "Keep me offline" meant I could use then share my screen in CS4 with success.

    Note: you must register a free Adobe ID and password to use share my screen (which is actually an Acrobat.com service).

    If you still get the activation problems mentioned in your first post when you click window > Extensions > connections, then you can be out of luck with CS4.

    Talk to Adobe customer service and confirm with them, if your serial number is valid or pirated.
