iPad 2 Air: icloud drive hangs in "upgrade".

Hello

My icloud drive hangs in the upgrade. When I try to save it gives about 30% and stops.

I tried to access my icould drive via iCloud.com and he says that there is an error.

I have installed IOS 10.

can anyone help?

Try either a restart - restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support or if it does not, perhaps signing of iCloud, wait a few minutes, then reconnect.

Try signing out of iCloud, perform a restart forced and then signing to iCloud.

Force restart: hold the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears.

You may want to check that

    1. you select no restrictions in the settings - General.

2 your employer has no restrictions for you installation in settings > general > profiles & Device Management.

    3. you don't have any work email accounts which can put these restrictions as well.

  • Photo very slow download on iCloud drive, Mac Air 2009, El Capitan

I hope someone can help... I installed El Capitan on my Mac Air since end 2009 and since improved Air and iPads to iCloud by car. Are my approximately 9000 pictures on Mac Air download at a speed of max 50 per hour. Also I don't see any files or folders in the Finder/iCloud drive. Something clearly happened because my network has significantly slowed down. Is this normal?

    Thanks in advance!

You synchronize these photos with your iCloud photo library?

If so, you won't see them in your iCloud drive. The library and iCloud drive are 2 separate areas.

Don't you have optimize activated? It takes much more time for a large library like yours.

Your download speed depends on your wifi. It is generally not as fast for most users as the download speed.

  • MS word/Excel - ipad - iCloud drive

IPad Pro with MS Word/Excel is installed:

Icloud drive, when I click a .doc or .docx file it will open by importing the file Pages and make a copy (which is stored in the Pages folder in iCloud drive).

How can I change the settings so that Word files are open in word? Right now my way must tap and hold, then click on info, then the share icon, then 'copy in Word. This will also create a copy/copy.

If possible, I would really like to open the file in Word when I press on it, no Pages, no duplicates.

    Same problem with Excel...

I don't think you can save a document or a spreadsheet in an application third.  They will save ecosystem native Apple applications such as Pages or numbers.

  • Using iCloud Drive on iPad as a backup documents, music and photos

    Hi all

With my trusty laptop Windows now 6 years old, that I am looking to replace that with an iPad Pro I feel this will do everything (and more), I would need a laptop.

My question is about the storage and backup of my documents, music and video files and so on.

With my laptop, I use an external hard drive to create a backup copy of these files.

I understand the main purpose of iCloud drive is to access your documents from any device, but this Act also as a method for creating a backup of my files? If not, is there another way to do this?

    Thank you very much

  • What happens if your storage iCloud drive is greater than your storage unit? It will fill your iphone or iPad?

I've updated the plan of 250 GB. I am about to transition about 60 GB in front of another cloud provider, who will be my total storage to 100 GB.

ICloud Drive on my iphone 64 GB and ipad automatically try and synchronize all of these files? Is it possible to stop the application to do this - i.e. be selective around folders synchronized to your ios devices?

    See you soon

    Glynne

iCloud is a servcie synchronization switch.

All that is stored in your folder on the drive on your PC icloud is synchronized to your device. To be selective about your synchronization, monitor which is stored in this folder.

  • How can I remove iCloud drive of my Macbook Air?

I'm still short of capacity of the drive on my MacBook Air (250 GB). > 1/3 of this capacity is used by the local cache of my iCloud account. How do I remove from this machine?

  • I have an iPad 2 Air, version 9.2. Whenever I have delete an app that has problems and then try to reinstall it, it simply returns to the iCloud as I sent it, with the remaining problems. How can I reinstall the app without problems?

I have an iPad 2 Air, IOS 9.2.  I deleted (uninstalled) an application that follows my use telephone and internet for me, because it stopped working.  Whenever I deleted an application he's apparently going to iCloud, and put it back, it simply sends down, warts and all, as happens with this one. How can I get the application in a "clean" State, under its previous problems?

Deleting an application does not send it to iCloud, and it deletes your system actually.  The problem is that the defect in the application has not yet been set by the developer, and your relocation simply recovering the defective version of the app on your iPad.  Expect that the developer of the app has a new version until you try to reinstall.

  • How can I removed the photos/videos to the iPad, but not delete icloud drive?  Need free space on the device, but can't.

My iPad has a lot of videos/pictures on local memory.  I disappear off the coast because I see that they are in my photo database and iCloud drive.  When I try to delete them it asks it will remove them from all devices.  I just have to remove them from the iPad.  Ideas?

    Thank you!

You cannot delete without delete icloud, unless you turn off and away the iCloud synchronization.

  • Is iCloud drive a good substitute to Dropbox?

    Hello.

    I'm on a MacBook Air - 2014 with OS X El Capitan installed 10.11.5.

I am a user of iCloud drive, but I currently use only 5 Gbs free. I want to upgrade to 50 GB.

I have an iPod Nano 3rd generation & only this MacBook Air. My question is:

Is iCloud drive one good substitute for Dropbox, Onedrive and other "digital storage platforms?

Is - this safe enough to store any type of files it contains? Or is it only enough for applications family iLife and other specific files from Apple (QuickTime, Final Cut Pro...).

Can I safely store a video in any format? Keep it secure Microsoft Office files on it?

If I switch to 50 GB (or more) it will be worth? Because 5 Gbs is currently enough for me... but if I could use the same way I use Dropbox & Onedrive, I won't upgrade.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

    Best regards.

    It is synchronous, so no

  • Question about iCloud drive and a Mac in the Mavericks

    Hello..

I have an iMac oldest still running v10.9 Mavericks who is stable, so I really don't want to spend it to El Capitan so I need clarity on something.

If I edit a document on the Mavericks, it does not update on devices with iCloud drive

    Is this correct?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, according to iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support:

You cannot use iCloud Drive on your devices until you update your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to the latest version of iOSand your Mac to the latest version of Mac OS X. If you already upgraded and you need to use a device that does not support iCloud by car, you can still work on your documents locally, but they will not be aware of the documents on your devices up to date, or on iCloud.com.

In addition, the system requirements for iCloud - Apple Support should be useful.
