How do stop you an iPad frozen?
My ipad has frozen with the box on the 'verification' update screem. And yes I tried to update the OS System. When I try to shut down it will appear when you slide to turn off it does not allow me to do. I slowly run the battery down so I hope I can raise in a few days with no impact. IPad has more than 5 years. I really prefer is not to replace it yet.
Hold down the power button / stop and the home at the same time button and hold until you see the Apple logo. Release the buttons.

IPad frozen due to the old ID password
Hi - I have just updated my iphone and ipad IOS 10 and now he keeps asking the password to my old apple ID. I tried to change the former temporarily apple ID so that I can identify you and to go beyond that, however, when I try to change the Apple ID, it will send a verification code to the old email - that does not exist. I'm so frustrated with this and have spent the weekend trying different solutions without success. I can't use my ipad at all now the request of password is permanently appearing and I cannot get rid of it. Please help before I throw it out the window!
You need to recover this password. What you run is activation lock and there is no easy way around it

All of a sudden my iPad 3rd generation (3 years) can not find the server. 'Settings' are frozen and I can not change anything here. The wifi icon is present. The loading circle is running continuously. I pressed the on/standby button and the message "slide to turn off" never came. When I released the button, off ipad and when you press on again the opening screen came. I can't reset the ipad. What should I do now? Help, please. Carol
Take a look at this Apple Support article:

Reset your network settings.
Settings - general - reset - reset the network settings
Reset your device. This will not erase your data stored on the phone.
- Press and hold the sleep/wake button
- Press and hold the Home button
- Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.
Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings
If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.
Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

Help! My iPad 2 is frozen due to...
I used it and a notification came across the screen. I pulled the bottom of the black screen with notifications and weather conditions. The screen is down about 80% and froze. I couldn't get into another window. I close it then turned on. Same screen black but below a home screen with ' drag across...» "But it is covered a bit of the black screen. HOW can I get rid of him? It will not go back, edit does nothing. Tapping has no effect anywhere on the screen. I'm essentially frozen.
Try a reboot of the force. Hold down the home and sleep/wake together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The unit should restart.

My email on my iPad 2 (IOS 8.4.1) froze last night on a blank page I was trying to send a few photos. I know I get emails that I can hear the ping and my email application shows that I have two new. I tried to put this off, then restart, but nothing changes. When I type my email application it goes to the blank page and after a few seconds goes back to my home page. I'm leaving on a trip to Europe at the moment I'm in a bit of panic. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
