iPad vs 6600 Officejet setup

At the risk of a 'not good' question, we have iPad 4 only (iOS6.1.3), no desktop or laptop. Can I set up my printer Officejet 6600 with her (dsl WiFi only)?

Hello

First of all, please check if your printer in the list:

http://support.Apple.com/kb/ht4356

If so, you can use this hotfix/install:

iPad: http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/airprint/
iPhone: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/airprint/

If NOT you must print using other applications (if applicable) such as

http://iTunes.Apple.com/au/app/HP-eprint/id299531647?Mt=8

Kind regards.

  • OfficeJet 6600: officejet 6600 will not be installed

I have a computer that is running Windows 7 (updated) with a 6600 Officejet attached via the USB port. It worked fine for 3 years, BUT I had to reinstall the printer 7 times in the last 2 weeks. When I turn off the computer at night and turn on the next morning and I begin to print something, I get "no printer installed." It SEEMS to make no difference if I turn the printer off or leave it on when I shut down the computer.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @RustyDHH,

Thank you for reaching out to the forums! I understand that whenever the computer is restarted, you must reinstall the printer software. I'd love to help you.

I have provided a few steps to try to see if we can solve this to happen again in the future.

Here are the steps to completely uninstall the printer from the computer.

In devices and printers, click once on any icon listed and select the printer at the top of the display server properties, click the driver tab.

Select the 6600 Officejet then click on delete, the pop up dialog box.

Select Remove driver and driver package, click OK, click Yes in the confirmation pop up message. (if they are not in the list, it's very well)

Then in the printers and devices window, right-click and select remove device for Officejet 6600 drivers.

Unplug the USB cable from the computer.

    Uninstall the printer software.

    Restart the print spooler:

Click Start, run, type admin in the search programs and files box and then click on the list management tools.
    Double-click Services.
Right click on print and left spooler, click Properties.
Click on stop to stop the print spooler.
Click Start to restart the print spooler.

Run the Microsoft Fixit Tool: diagnose and automatically repair Windows files and folders problems.

    Reregister Windows install:

    1. Quit all programs.

    2. Click Start, run, type msiexec / unregister in the Open box and click OK.

    3. Click Start, run, type msiexec/regserver in the Open box, and then click OK.

    4. Restart the computer.

Disable all startup programs and temporarily disable the Antivirus software. There might be something running in the background cause of conflicts. How to use MSCONFIG. Click the Startup tab, and then click Disable all.

Make sure that you are connected to the computer with Admin rights, and then reinstall the printer using the latest drivers. Here is the link: 6600 Officejet HP e-All-in-One Printer series - H711 full feature software and driver.

  • OfficeJet 6600: Officejet 6600 turns off

Our 6600 OfficeJet was itself switched off service intermittently. When I unplugged the power cord and repluged inside, the printer went through its boot sequence, to the end that he suddenly stopped again.

Through trial & error, I found that I could get the printer staying for more by unplugging the power cord from the power supply and then replace the plug.

Is my power supply module is going bad or is there something happing inside the printer?

I replaced the power supply and I wanted to observe for a few days and so far, the printer has not extinguished. It seems that the original power supply all went wrong

Found the problem. I had to go into the settings of the printer and allow shared printing. Problem solved.

    Hi @TallPaul1,

Since you seem to be able to print from other programs, I think that the question has something to do with Adobe. Maybe you will find the following article, I found the site useful adobe: PDF print troubleshoot | Acrobat, Reader.

If the problem persists, it may be preferable for you to reach the Adobe community.

  • How to print from my ipad to the officejet 6500 has more?

I read that there may be something else than necessary. I want to print directly to the Officejet 6500 has more. Apple said ths is an Air Print printer able to do this. I don't take this monster out of the box until I know he will do what I want without a lot of trouble. Thank you.

OK, so you were talking about requiring the update.  It is difficult to say that all depends on if it came with the new firmware or not.  It is not really relevant, however, because it will be updated as soon as Web Services.  This process takes a few minutes.  There is no computer necessary for the update of the firmware as long as the printer has internet access (which is directly connected to a router via ethernet or wireless).  Yes, a connection ad hoc, you will be able to print from the iPad, but you can use its 3 G connection instead of through your router.  It can only support a single WiFi also.  Go ahead and set up the printer and keep me posted on what happens.

BTW - what is the problem with your PC that it cannot access the internet?

    Hi @bal8,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand the pins plastic came out the slots and the metal spring hinge is off as well, you want to know how to replace the cover.

Because it is not a replaceable part, there is no mention to remove or replace the scanner cover, I was able to find this document which you may find useful: How to clean the Scanner glass

This shows the tools to remove and could help some images that I am sure!
