iPhone 6s won't connect to VPN on work wifi but goes on other wifi networks

Hello

I have been connected to my wifi to work for a while and had to use a VPN to use things such as whats'app and access to sites like Facebook. It worked well until what recently just VPN logs not when I am connected to this wifi network. I know that the password etc and I get the symbol wifi at the top of my phone but never impossible to access Web sites (which was normal, but the VPN it fixed), but now I can not connect the VPN even more.

The VPN application I use is Betternet but I've also tried a few others, none works. However, they all work when I connect to my own wifi network.

iPhone 6 s - last version of iOS from today (28 Apr 16) cannot find the exact version on my phone

Pleaseeeeee help me connect to my VPN when I'm on my work wifi

VPN can be difficult, maybe to consult Betternet. Also see this article for suggestions.

iOS: setting up VPN - Apple Support

FWIW here are some general recommendations for Wi - Fi problems, maybe one of them will help you.

(1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

(2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

(3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

(4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

(5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available.

(6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

(7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

(8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

(9) go to the Apple Store for the evaluation of the material.

    Hello

I have the iphone 6 in warranty period... .working perfectly, but I want to exchange it with the iphone 6 s. Please suggest.

If your phone is in warranty period or not has nothing to do with trying to swap an iPhone for a s 6 6.

Apple not no trade ins, so you have to sell your iPhone 6 to finance the purchase of a new s 6, or you can use the Apple recycling.

The only other thing you can do, it's that if you bought your phone directly from a carrier rather than Apple, you can exchange your phone with a carrier in order to upgrade to a 6 s.

That's all.  Other than that and if you bought at Apple, you must sell your iPhone 6 and use that money to buy a 6s instead.

  • I have two connections. Canon scanner works on one, not the other.

I have Vista with two connections. On one login my scanner Canon 5000F works very well. On the other hand, it won't work at all. When I go to scanners and cameras in Control Panel, the scanner appears. If I select properties and use the Test button, it tells me that the scanner is not working properly. But when I select Scan profile, I told myself that no scanners were detected. This happens on both connections. Why the scanner does not work on one of them?

I downloaded the latest driver from Canon and the latest CanoScan Toolbox.

I want to get rid of the connection that the scanner works on. What should I do?

You can try to uninstall the scanner > remove this connection > reinstall the Scanner.

    See you soon.

  • VPN client works well, but I am not able to open the desktop remotely

    Hi all

I configured a router 877 with features of firewall and VPN and DDNS, when the user connects his WAN pc via VPN all works well (mail, telnet, ping, LAN access) but the Remote Desktop feature is not available. I traced with wireshark and saw that the request to port 3389 was correctly sent to the destination server, but the response to the VPN client has been abandoned by the router... and I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Can someone help me...? Thank you very much.

    Ilaria.

    In room router attached.

Your problem is the NAT-config. First of all, the next line is not necessary that RDP does not have UDP ober:

IP nat inside source static udp 192.168.10.136 3389 3389 Dialer0 interface

Then, the following command causes problems:

IP nat inside source static tcp 192.168.10.136 3389 3389 Dialer0 interface

With which the router assumes that the server 192.168.10.136 must always be reached through the IP address of dialer0 and made a translation.

There are two ways to solve the problem, but they all have some disadvantages...

    (1) only access the server through VPN. For that you can just remove the NAT statement above (the one with tcp) and you should be able to reach the server via VPN.

    (2) restrict the NAT for not doing a translation if a VPN-peer's access to the server.

To do this, you must attach a roadmap to the NAT statement. But who does not work with the "interface" - keyword in the NAT Statement. But you can use it if you get a fixed IP address from your provider.

    (3) assign a second IP address to the RDP server. The period of the original INVESTIGATION that is used in the NAT statement is used to access the server without VPN, the second IP address is used to access the server through VPN.

  • My Windows XP laptop does not connect to my 2WIRE router wireless, but do my other laptops. It will only connect with the ethernet cable. What is the problem?

    What I'm doing.

    1. my laptop is a Toshiba XP

What serial number and model of Toshiba?

What type of encryption 2wire router uses for now? Type of WEP or WPA? If the latter do you know if your XP laptop wireless card supports WPA (some older cards only). If you find that this is the problem, you can go to the WEP encryption or buy a WPA compatible device to use instead of the current device on the XP laptop.

If you don't know how to find this information...

The range and the model are probably on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

I think that there is a sticker on the side of 2wire routers (leastways are those provided by BT) gives you the encryption key and this might also state what is the type of encryption. Or, if not, open a web browser such as internet explore/firefox etc and go to http://gateway.2wire.net, somewhere on the router admin pages, you will find information on wireless security/encryption.

Regarding the card laptop wireless, I can help with this if you give me the range and the model as requested above. I can, also, be able to determine from the description of the device in Device Manager. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER. Network adapters (click on +) and transcribe the wireless adapter that there are listed in a response to this post.

  • Why my iphone is required to connect to itunes after updating wireless.

Why my iphone is required to connect to itunes after updating wireless?

    I don't have itunes and won't.

Is there anyway around of this or take it back to the old ios?

More than the upgrade of the air seems to have issues, whether all connect at the same time or other problems. I had to plug my phone into the computer, update itunes to the latest, published today, then ios upgrade 10.0.1 and it is fine now. You could bring to the apple store and probably use their computers, just don't tell the computer to trust the phone.

  • iPhone 6 won't hold a charge

My iPhone 6 won't hold a charge more after the last software update of the 9.2

How to bring back my presentation?

    Gina,

What troubleshooting measures have so far?

Have you tested it with a charger from apple work known, no third-party?

Have you tried to plug into the computer to see if it's the "cube" which is plugged into the wall?

If the battery is dead, you must connect the device for at least 20 minutes before it will fit on. If it works, make sure that you leave fully charge. Once it's done to make sure that you do not charge the actual phone until the battery is completely drained. This would reset the battery cycles.

Make sure that you do not leave the phone plugged into the wall outlet overnight, it can burn your battery.

No, which won't work! But instead of destroying the router, I can do it for you. Just send it to me... ;-)

    Ok

So, basically, you set up the router so that you can directly connect to the ASA using the Cisco VPN Client. And also, the goal was ultimately only allow traffic to the LAN through the VPN Client ONLY connection.

It seems to me to realize that you have only the following configurations of NAT

VPN Client NAT0 / free of NAT / identity NAT

the object of the LAN network

    Subnet 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0

    network of the VPN-POOL object

    subnet 10.1.1.128 255.255.255.128

NAT static destination LAN LAN (indoor, outdoor) static source VPN-VPN-POOL

The NAT configuration above is simply to tell the ASA who don't do any type of NAT when there is traffic between the network 192.168.2.0/24 LAN and VPN 10.1.1.128/25 pool. That way if you have additional hosts on the local network that needs to be connected to, you won't have to do any form of changes to the NAT configurations for customer VPN users. You simply to allow connections in the ACL list (explained further below)

    Failure to PAT

    object-group network by DEFAULT-PAT-SOURCE

    object-network 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0

NAT automatic interface after (indoor, outdoor) dynamic source by DEFAULT-PAT-SOURCE

This configuration is intended just to replace the previous rule of PAT dynamic on the SAA. I guess that your router will do the translation of the ASA "outside" IP address of the interface to the public IP address of routers and this configuration should allow normal use of the Internet from the local network.

I suggest you remove all other NAT configurations, before adding these.

Control of the VPN clients access to internal resources

Also, I assume that your current VPN client is configured as full Tunnel. In other words, it will tunnel all traffic to the VPN connection, so that its assets?

To control traffic from the VPN Client users, I would suggest that you do the following

    • Set up "no sysopt permit vpn connection"

      • This will change the ASA operation so that connections through a VPN connection NOT allowed by default in order to bypass the ACL 'outside' interface. So, after this change, you can allow connections you need in the 'outer' interface ACL.
    • Configure rules you need for connections from VPN clients to the "external" ACL interface. Although I guess they already exist as you connect there without the VPN also

I can't say this with 100% certainty, but it seems to me that the things above, you should get to the point where you can access internal resources ONLY after when you have connected to the ASA via the connection of the VPN client. Naturally take precautions like backups of configuration if you want to major configuration changes. If you manage remotely the ASA then you also also have the ability to configure a timer on the SAA, whereupon it recharges automatically. This could help in situations where a missconfiguration breaks you management connection and you don't have another way to connect remotely. Then the ASA would simply restart after that timer missed and also restart with the original configuration (as long as you did not record anything between the two)

Why you use a different port for the other devices RDP connection? I can understand it if its use through the Internet, but if the RDP connection would be used by the VPN Client only so I don't think that it is not necessary to manipulate the default port 3389 on the server or on the SAA.

Also of course if there is something on the side of real server preventing these connections then these configuration changes may not help at all.

Let me know if I understood something wrong

  • iPhone 7 fall cellular connection

I am an entrepreneur and go to new and different sites all the time, so I use my phone GPS apps daily. My new iPhone 7 keeps abandon my cell connection, a notice of "no service" appears in the upper left corner. I called Apple Support and they had reset me my network connection. They said that if it does not work I need to contact my service provider, Verizon. The network reset does not solve the problem so I went to the Verizon store and they gave me a new SIM card. That no longer works. Every time that happens I have to restart my phone, which really * while that driving in an unknown area, which restores the connection. It never happened on any of my other iPhones. Any suggestions? Do I have a bad cell module or bad GPS? If it continues, should I ask the Apple for a replacement? Apple give me an iPhone brand new 7, or try to clear a refurbished on me model?

I have exactly the same problem.  I live in New Jersey, and even though I know the roads, I use GPS every day to the shuttle since traffic patterns are constantly changing.  Since I have my iPhone 7 I can't use it from / more works with GPS - signals he loses several times per trip (cellular and GPS).  Never had this problem with my iPhone 6 and my partner who had a 6s more has the same problem with his more 7.

  • My iPhone 7 will not connect to the Bluetooth in my car when the iPhone 5 only

MY iPhone 7 does not connect via Bluetooth to my car so that I can use the phone hands free when my iPhone 5 only

Bluetooth can be exceeded in your car, which would explain why an iPhone 5 still works.

You can test the Bluetooth on your iPhone 7 with something else, such as headphones or speakers?

  • iOS iphone 10 does not connect to the DHCP wifi

Updated IPhone 6 to 10 of IOS, and now the phone will not connect to my BT Home Hub 5.  All other devices will still be another phone that has 10 IOS.

The phone recognizes the router password, puts a blue check mark against the connection, but no wifi signal appears and remains on 3G / 4G.

If I look at the DHCP information on the phone, it's all white is wrong.

I checked on the router and the phone does not display as connected.

I have reset the router etc.

I reset the network connections on the phone, more hard recharge etc.

I am at a loss, please help!

Can you connect to other Wi - Fi networks outside your House?

If not, to exclude a software problem, set back to settings factory, without using the last backup. Set up the coordinates manually, and then test the Wi - Fi connectivity.

Use iTunes to restore your device to factory settings - Support Apple iOS
