  I read all the posts on the thread "iPhone 6 freezes after iOS 9 update" and tried ALL the options mentioned in the thread, including taking the phone to the iPhone "geniuses" (ha! What gumption) and after 3 months of running around they gave me, the problem still remains. It's December 28 and I first started noticing symptoms appox when iOS 9 was released in late September.

  Apple won't admit they should be Recalling all these phones, but it's the right thing to do. My 1 year warranty expired in November and now I'm SOL.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  I was wondering if someone can help me.  I updated my iPhone 5 today and after updating my home button wasn't working properly.  I am able to hold down the home button and Siri responds, I can double click on the home button and the iPhone will list all my applications open, but when I open app and single click to minimize the application, the home button does not.  It worked before I upgraded to iOS 9.2.1.  After the update, I've also restored my iPhone to the latest backup.

  Thank you for your question. Have you tried to restore your phone?

  Here's what you need to do.

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer and back up all the content on your iPhone.
  • Restoring iPhone. (You will find the button restore in iTunes homepage once you connect iPhone in)
  • Follow the steps on your computer screen.
  • Once the iPhone was restored, sign in using your credentials to iCloud and click on restore from a backup.

  This actually solved for me after going to settings, General, reset, reset the location and privacy... and then plug in the unit and pressing the trust... hope that works for others.

  A friend has an iPhone 5 c running iOS 7.1.2 and the phone has 32 GB of storage space.  She tried to upgrade to iOS 9.2 for several days now without any success.  At first, she thought it was a matter of space and she has managed to release about 7 GB of space.  At this point, it's what's happening:

  I understand that you run Windows 10 and you must update iTunes to the latest version so that your iPhone will be recognized when connected. I do not know if you receive an error when you try to update iTunes or not.

  If you need information on how to update iTunes, please follow the instructions in the following link.

  Download the latest version of iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

  If you receive an error or alert, you can consider removing iTunes and all of its associated components and then reinstalling fresh iTunes on your computer. That would give you the latest version of iTunes. If you need execute this process, please follow the steps described in the following article.

  Remove iTunes Control Panel and its associated components

  Use the control panel to uninstall iTunes and software components in the following order:

  1. iTunes
  2. Apple Software Update
  3. Apple Mobile Device Support
  4. Hello
  5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
  6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

  On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.

• Cannot connect to the network or perform system restore after installing updates have been

  WIN 7 Home Premium running on a gateway PC connected to the internet via an ethernet connection using a RealTek network adapter for the past 5 years with no problems. Running Avast Pro antivirus / internet security.  09/02/2016, Microsoft and Avast downloaded and installed updates on the PC.  After the PC auto-redémarré as part of the Microsoft updates, I couldn't connect to the internet.  Connect to the network now says unidentified network - no network connection.  The adapter looks like to she always sees the (watch 100 Mbps) connection, but no data packet move.  Device Manager indicates that the unit is working normally.

  I ran through the resolution of the problems of Windows network. I checked the cable was attached, reset the home modem, reset the adapter (toggle), uninstalled/reinstalled using the latest adapter driver available.  I have disabled the Windows Firewall because Firewall Avast wouldn't start.  I disabled all the Avast settings to see if it eliminated the problem.  I tried to run the system restore before the updates but continue to spread the message that there was an unexplained error and restore failed.  All this was done in Normal mode. I restarted mode safe and had the same problems without success.

  I was able to clear the problem by manually uninstalling updates of security Windows which were loaded on 09/02/2016 through the programs and features Control Panel. Then I did the repair of Avast program operation.  I rebooted the computer and the internet connection worked. Then I reinstalled manually updates Windows security on the Windows Update program.

  This is the backup of the data and settings. The iOS is not part of the backup. You can restore the backup of a unit on an older iOS to a device that has an equal or more recent iOS, but you cannot restore the backup of a unit with a latest iOS on a device with an older iOS. In other words, you can restore the backup of the iPhone 5 is with iOS 9.3.2 to a device with iOS 9.3.2 or 9.3.3 iOS or if you wait until the public version of iOS 10.

  This is not the latest version of iTunes. The latest version is 12.4.1. What version of Windows are you using? If you use anything in Windows 7, it does not support the latest version of iTunes and the iPhone OS. You will need to update your computer.
