iPhone stuck in recovery mode 5 c

Hi all

I'm not native English and my grammar isn't the best, so if you do not understand something I posted, just ask and I try to be more specific.

I have the problem that my iPhone 5 c is stuck in recovery mode and I have so far failed.

The problem started with iOS 9.3.3. In the aftermath of the update my iPhone crashed with the screen flickering and restarted every 1-2 minutes. Then I installed the iPhone as a new iPhone and it was good for a few days and then it happened.

Then comes the 9.3.4 iOS update. The update worked for a day and then all of a sudden my iPhone has not found any connection to my mobile operator. WLAN and bluetooth still worked.

Then I tried to restore my iPhone again. First of all everything went well and the update was successful, but the same day, the flicker of the screen and restarts every 1-2 minutes came back.

I once again tried to restore my iPhone, but this time it did not work. First of all, I got error 9 several times.

These days I get only error 4013 and I can't get the iPhone out of recovery mode. When I try to launch it to the of in the mode of recovery and all the ways to get out of her failed.

When I try to retrieve it with iTunes, it extracted the software, then the iPhone restarts until I see the apple logo and the "busy" - circle appears. Then the whole screen fades away in the dark, as if he would run out of power, but leaves immediately in recovery mode where I see the iTunes logo and the cable with plug.

Here's what I did:

-Hold the home button and the Start button / stop in any combination: he restarts, but returned in recovery mode and error 4013 in iTunes.

-Via another USB port: same result, error 4013 in iTunes.

-Tried it on another computer (Win 10) with fresh install iTunes. Here, I got error 21 once and 4013 the second try.

-check the URL in the file host

-J' tried all methods, I found on the internet and in youtube videos in this community.

I bought the iPhone end of 2013, that is guaranteed is not in effect. Ever, the iPhone fell down or has been damaged in any way. And it is not jailbroken.

So I have a few questions:

1. is this a software problem or it could also be a hardware problem?

2. do I can install iOS 10, it will overwrite the current state and install it?

3. If it is a problem that is caused by a defective software update, apple will repair for free? Or will contact free support in this case?

4. someone an idea that a repair is going to cost me?

Hello

Make sure that you have followed all the steps related to error code 4013 and code error 21, notably by ensuring that you are using a real lightning Apple USB cable (or the equivalent of third-party certified IFM):

And also that you follow the correct process:

If the problem persists then, I suggest you contact Apple technical support or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance, including to have checked whether iPhone recommended by Apple:

  • Error 53, Iphone stuck in recovery mode

I have an iphone 6 more. I tried to restore it after that it will be not updated via itunes on my windows software. I got error 53 and now it is stuck in recovery mode. how he get out of recovery mode? I tried to force startup, but it won't. Help, please.

The short answer is that unfortunately you can't. Basically you have a brick iPhone. This happens usually when you had a non-authorized repair center to replace your screen and they also replaced the contact ID. If this is the case, then your only option is to buy a new iPhone because the warranty is cancelled by having unauthorized repair center to open the unit. If you get an error 53 and I've never had repairs done then a Genius Bar appointment and they should replace it for free if you are still under warranty.

  • iPhone stuck in Recovery Mode 6s

I have updated to iOS 10. When I came back to my phone, it's in recovery mode. I kept restarting. Still stuck. It takes forever to restore on my computer, it ALWAYS does. I don't know if this has to do with the fact that my phone has had betas out there, but now I turn here: what's next?

    Hello malcolm229,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

Looks like you were previously running iOS 10 beta and now have problems updating your iPhone to the public version of iOS 10. We can see you iPhone seems to be in both recovery mode and you cannot move forward.

We know that unexpected situations, as are not optimal, but we are here for you!

At this point, if you have not already done so, you will need to follow the steps described in the article below to restore your iPhone and run the public version of iOS 10.

Any software beta iOS - Apple Support

Back to the current version of the iOS

If you want to come back to the current version of the iOS using iOS beta, follow these steps:

    1. Make sure you use the latest version of iTunes.
    2. Put your device in mode recovery and restore it. If you enable find my iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password after restoring to activate your device.
    3. If you are unable to finish the restoration, get help.
    4. Once the restore is complete, you can configure your device to your backup archived. This backup must be from an earlier version of iOS.

If your device is equipped with a version beta of iOS and you return the device to a previous version of iOS, that you can not restore your backup. This can happen if the backup is from a later version of the iOS. For example, if you restore your device to the current version of the iOS and try to use a backup that you created using a beta version of iOS.

We realize that your iPhone is already showing connect to iTunes chart on the screen, but the work through the steps as described here to try to resolve the problem.

    Have a nice day

  • 5s iPhone stuck in recovery mode

Hi, I recently tried to restore my iPhone iOS 9.0.2 since he was not running well on iOS 9.1. Now it is said to restore my iPhone (which I'm fine with). iTunes says I need to restore my phone, and then update it since it's the only option I choose, but then it gives me an error message (5). So I press update and restore but it says I need to restore my phone again then and traverse the same loop. If anyone has an explanation and a solution please post it here.

Decommissioning is not supported by apple, and you don't go to iOS 9.0.2 anyway since apple stopped signing the firmware. To restore your device to the operating on iOS 9.1 State, you must put the 5 s iPhone in DFU mode and then restore from iTunes.

To put your iPhone in DFU mode:

    1. Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.
    2. Turn off the device.
    3. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
    4. Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
    5. Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
    6. After that 15 seconds, you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

Now, click on restore and wait for the restore to the end!

    I hope this helps!

  • My iPhone 5 c is stuck in recovery mode

I have updated to iOS 2 10 days ago, and today I was listening to music on my phone, when all of a sudden it turned off and the Apple logo came. I thought that if I waited a few minutes, it will restart but it didn't. I then tried to reload, but still he wouldn't do anything. I looked on the internet what to do and did exactly as he told me: I have it plugged into my laptop with a port USB. I pressed the lock and the "home" button and then release the lock. iTunes came on my computer screen laptop and said he found my device in recovery mode. I tried to restore it had worked and my phone had turned his back I started setting up and after connecting to WiFi he started to connect to iTunes. I don't know what happened after that, as long as my phone is turned off suddenly. I went through the process of restoring it again, to see what it kept disconnecting after the software update. I tried several times but the Apple logo keeps appearing on screen and nothing happens.

I risked losing all my data that I have not backe

This IIIaass suggestion in this thread:

My iPod 5 is on the recovery mode, how do I get it out of recovery mode

can help.  In particular, the last step:

Try the following. You will probably need to try to let the battery completely down

    - iOS: do not respond or does not light

-Also try DFU mode recovery mode post-test

How to put iPod touch / iPhone in DFU "Karthik doodles."

-If failed and that you cannot completely turn completely the iOS device, leave the battery to drain completely. After loading a hour repeat the foregoing.

    -Try a different cable

    -Try on another computer

S ' there is still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at an Apple store Genius Bar is in order.

  • Watch OS 2.1 failure update - Apple Watch stuck in recovery mode

Todat I upgraded my Apple Watch from my iPhone 6 Plus (running iOS 9.2) to watch OS 2.1.

Somehow, the software was discontinued due to a fallout in wifi. This caused the Apple Watch running in a mode where I see a big "!" followed text "www.apple.com/help/watch".

On the hyperkink above, I tried the fix ' hold the Crown + home to restart button ", but nothing works. Then, I contacted Apple customer service by phone such as recommended. They told me that I have to send the Apple Watch in to Apple to fix the problem, as the watch is stuck in a mode called 'Recovery Mode' which can fix only Apple product support. I'm in the hold of how this can happen! Apple you cannot be serious about this! In addition, they said they were not sure if I had to pay for the repair, even if the watch is 6 months.

I demand a serious response from Apple on this issue as soon as poosible as is below you standards!

    Kind regards

    Poul

    Hello

It is a community of support based on the user - Apple does not formally provide technical support here.

You have followed the correct steps to solve the problem that has arisen.

I'm afraid that no one here can tell you what that Apple will decide (and it is not allowed here to speculate).

Your best solution is to continue to submit your watch for the service by Apple.
