iPhone update 10 and 10.0.2 Email question

I have the iPhone 6plus.  Since the download of 10 & 10.0.2 updates I've been struggling with my email.  When I go into my email it will stay open for about 5 seconds and that I'm in, it automatically close and go back to my home screen to force me to go repeatedly to complete an email.

You can follow these steps to try closing out of the Mail app and then try to re - open:

Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If you haven't already done so, I recommend also trying to restart your iPhone, as it may solve the problems you mention.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If you're still having problems, then I recommend trying to remove the e-mail account, and then delete the Mail application. Once you remove the Mail application, you can reinstall it from the App Store and add your account. You can find the steps to remove and re-add your email address below:

  1. On your computer, connect to the site is Web of your email provider to check that all your e-mail or check if your e-mail is saved somewhere other than your iOS device.
  2. On your iOS device, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars.
  3. Press the e-mail account that you want to remove.
  4. Press to delete the account.
  5. Add your account again.

    Most of the time that what happens when people change their email address main apple id without first signing in iCloud on their phone - the phone remains signed with the old e-mail address.
