iPhoto 9.5.1 (via iTunes) does not see pictures on my old iPod Touch

Hello

I'm retiring from my old iPod Touch (2nd generation - iPod 2.1, 32 GB, A1288).   Specifically, I'm transferring all of the pictures of her.

I use iTunes (12.3.2) on my MacBook (2.9 GHz Core i7 (I7 - 3520M), 750GB, A1278) performer of the Mavericks 10.9.5.

iTunes did recognize the iPod and detects music, movies, Podcasts. (I don't have TV shows, books, or audiobooks on my iPod, so not sure if iTunes should detect those).

However, iPhoto (9.5.1) only detects my Photos stored on the iPod. It is not the photo library, last import iPhoto, 12 months or one of my albums.

These photos are inaccessible with this version of iPhoto?

Thank you - Robin

These albums have been synced to iPod using iTunes?   Synched photos can be imported to iPhoto via USB, only the photos in the camera roll or saved photos. Photo sync iTunes is one-way: see this link: Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support

    Hi BrittLeighCass,

I understand that you are not able to get iTunes to recognize your iPhone, now that you have updated your iPhone to iOS 10. That you have described here some quite impressive troubleshooting in-depth. Fortunately, however, it may well be a few additional things to try in this situation.

First of all, let's make sure that iTunes is completely up to date: iTunes - download iTunes

If the update to iTunes is not your iPhone appears, see if there are all the steps described in the article below that you do not have covered still.

  • iTunes does not recognize any of my iPhones (Windows 10)

I've recently updated iTunes 12.4 and now my iPhone 5s, and my iPhone 4 are not recognized by iTunes. They appear as 'Apple iPhone' in my file Explorer, but are not accessible via iTunes or iFunBox. I tried all the options in the management of the link here:

If iTunes does not recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod - Apple Support

    I removed the lockdown folder.

    I tried several cables.

When I go into Device Manager, there is no "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" under "In Bus USB controllers", but there is 'Apple iPhone' under 'portable '. If you're looking for an update to this pilot says 'Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up-to-date' "MTP USB device".

More interesting still, I went down to iTunes 12.1.3, thinking that would take me back to a working version, but in fact it STILL does not recognize my phone(s)!

    What the hell is happening?

If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:

    1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
    2. Plug in your device
    3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.
    4. Right-click and select software update of the driver...
    5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
      C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    7. Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
    8. Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
    9. Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

To step 3 above, open the Device Manager. Expand one of the articles that are listed.

    • USB Bus controllers
    • Imaging devices
    • Portable devices
    • Other devices

Plug in the appliance. You should hear the telltale Windows sound device connection and a Division must acquire a new entry. This should be your device. It cannot be labelled properly at this point. If you do not hear a suspicious noise cable damaged.

If not try a complete tear down and rebuild iTunes in accordance with the resolution of the problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

Or try to go back to the last version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the programs installation of iTunes to download links. If you roll back to 12.4.0.119 to 12.3.3.17 or 12.3.2.35, for example, then you will also need restore the database of the library in the manner described in the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. • sync iTunes does not recognize the photo library

    Hello

I've been messing around with my photo library, and now when I try to sync my iPad, iTunes does not see my photo library.  The Photos app connects to the library, which is located in the folder images for the user account, no problem.  But when I connect the iPad to the iMac and iTunes opens, if I click on the header of Photos on my iPad, sync Photos box is unchecked, and when selected, the option copy photos pictures, looks as the pictures in the folder is empty, when in fact the photo library is located here.  She received no related some how?  I had my library on an external drive and passed to the user account on the internal disk without problem.

    Thank you!

It is surprising how a simple search does not turn the answer to such a question, which one would think would be quite a common problem.  Indeed, several people asked similar questions, but often with no response.  However, I managed to find the solution on manual site Apple of all places.  And in the interest of the public service will post it here.  The problem is even if I had taken my photo library with the preferences window, I had not designated 'Library system' as in below.

Once the user has clicked on 'Use as system library', then iTunes could see the library.

  • ITunes does not sync Apple podcast app with my Nano

iTunes does not synchronize my Apple podcast app, with my ipod nanos podcasts.

The result is that if I'm half listening to a podcast on my ipod nano, and then use the usb cable for syncing with itunes, then connect my iphone 5 via the usb cable and synchronize with itunes podcast Apple app reflects not the amendment, despite the fact that initially the app podcast Apple pulled all the podcasts to itunes.

That is to say itunes is not cross sync from my ipod nano at Apple podcast app.

    That's what itunes is done.

Simple synchronization works very well and if I was not an iphone owner then everything would be as expected it is say podcasts of nano sync properly, or what if all I had was the application of podcast Apple iphone would be nice synchronize. But sometimes I want to listen to on my Nano, and sometimes on my phone and continue on from where I left on my Nano, I thought that was the point of the Apple ecosystem?

Use iTunes Feedback or Apple Bug Reporter to report the problem and make the Apple to know how you want it to work as before.

  • After update on Win 10 mashine and rebooting, iTunes does not start. The clues why?

Clean install, via the Apple update, on 10 to win and host reboot, iTunes does not start. Don't hit anything, have not changed anything. Win 10 Pro updated to the last update. 16 GB OF RAM. Someone has an idea? That would be bad to reinstall because I had a lot of songs associated with him, not to mention the telephone contacts... Appreciate any advice.

RESOLVED: I restarted computer again, and that solved a problem. It seems that the first reboot has not played. Thanks anyway.
